Chapter 20

  Chapter Twenty

For the next couple of hours, both dragons napped together, right where they had landed. The Empress and her two friends walks a few feet away from the dragons and sat down together. They found a nice soft patch of grass near a silvery glitter palm tree that sparkled in the light, as the leaves swayed back and forth from the gentle breeze. As the dragons snored, she pulled out the basket of baked goods and thermos. The trio had a nice quiet brunch under the large glitter tree. The view of the turquoise green and blue mountains against the hue of lavender skies was just breathtaking.

After talking a few things over with Salem and Pandora, she felt a little better. He assured her that the dark realm isn't a good place, but with his help, guaranteed her safe return. His words had been a real comfort, more than even she'd known.

"Thank you, both."

"It's fine."

Soranto woke, then slowly nudged Kadrid...

"Come on, let's go get the others."

"Sure." She replied, getting up and following him.

"Get on." Soranto told them.

She climbed onto his back as the other two got on top of Kadrid. After a few minutes both dragons prepared for take off, then flew up into the skies, once again. Ralvania watched the clouds as they passed by them in a flash of fluffy images. It looked as if it would be dark within the next hour and a half. She leaned to one side of him in time to see a peacock, with a rainbow of pastel feathers, an intriguing sight. She knew in other lands the wild life could be a little different, just like the land but she'd never imagined that she'd see a bird like that one. She kept watch, occasionally peering down in case there were any other exotic birds in the skies. Flying a few more miles, she saw a few dwarf dragons, they looked like soranto if he were pocket-sized and green. Further along the journey, peering down again she saw a pink dove flying with a silver raven, both birds were quite rare. She loved helping those that deserved it, but she found joy in seeing different creatures and plant life along her many travels. It was the little things that brightened her world.

Ralvania watched the skies as the sun began to fade into a nightly hibernation; as the moons woke to reign once again in the skies. Each moon rise was like magick vibes across the skies. As the night wore on, she drifted off as the dragons flew onward, far into the middle of the night, covering near a hundred miles as their keepers slept. Just beyond four in the morning, they found a secluded spot in a forest to land. As they landed, rousing the three; who climbed down. Still overwhelmingly exhausted, went right back to sleep, next to the dragons.
