Chapter 2
Chapter Two
Two days later, having pixie brew and going over a few things in her magickal books; debating on when to talk to Amberosia. She wasn't sure, maybe after coffee. She spent the duration of that morning lost in her own thoughts. Sipping at the drink for the next forty-five minutes, realizing she didn't need to keep putting it off like this. The dragon was right, it would make it easier to come back and only have a few things to catch up on, not ten or more. Refilling the large mug one more time, writing out a few notes. As the cup had become empty, rang for the servant girl. Ten minutes later, she'd heard the familiar knock on the door.
"Come in," She responded.
The door creaked open and the servant poked her head inside.
"You wished to see me, miss?"
"Yes get in here and shut the door."
Ambrosia shook a little, nervous but still doing as she'd been commanded.
"Now sit."
She nodded, plopping down in the chair.
"If I've done wrong, tell me and I'll correct it right away." The girl spat out.
"Hush, you haven't wronged me."
"Oh."
"It's more the opposite."
"Whatever do you mean?"
"Be quiet and I'll explain."
Amberosia blushed a second, then nodded in silence.
"After much debate, I've decided to train a sorceress' apprentice."
Ambrosia sat there, staring into space.
"Say something."
"Who is she? Have we met her before?"
Ralvania started to laugh.. "I'm offering it to you."
"Me miss?"
"Yes, you."
"I'm honored, but I haven't a flicker of magick in me."
Leaning across the desk, hesitating a moment and giving a look, she whispered; "I can give you some of mine."
"Magickal people can do that?"
"Three beings in the world know how, I happen to be one of them... Are you interested?"
"I'd love to."
"Good."
"When shall we start ,miss?"
"Meet me here after sunset." She replied as Gina walked in, red faced and full of rage.
"What? She gets to be a sorceress, yet I've been here longer?"
"I won't tolerate jealousy."
"You don't have to, I quit!" Gina shouted and ran out of the room.
"I didn't mean to cause any of that."
"You didn't, she did."
"Thanks miss, I'll see you tonight." She replied, then scurried out of the huge office library.
Ralvania gave her a little wink, then got back to the grimoire she was working on.
