The empress walked up to the large doors and let out a sigh of relief. Glad to be home again, slowly she had opened the doors and crept inside. She listened for a moment and heard nothing out of the ordinary. She made her way to the library and her favorite chair. Opening the door she walked in to find her apprentice sitting there studying magic with a pot of coffee.

"Amberosia." 

The girl looked up, jumping a little. She quickly moved out of the boss's favorite spot in the entire castle.

"Did everything go okay with mister Salem?" She asked.

"Fine, thank you. How's the magical studying going?" Ralvania asked her.

"It's going, but a little overwhelming." She answered then grabbed a spare cup filling it and handing it to the empress.

"Thank you dear. Anything go on while I was away?" 

"You really didn't miss much. There was a hybrid gnome with a bad cold but I took care of it." Amberosia told her.

The empress took a long slow sip of the drink in front of her.

"Good to hear it. Come sit and have a cup with me."The empress invited.

Amberosia's eyes seemed to light up and sparkle with delight. Not many ever willingly spent time with her. 

"I'd love to, yes."
