Chapter 1
Deep in the East forest of Summer,a girl with fiery red hair dashed upon the earth heading towards the edge of the forest just before sunset. Branches ripped holes threw her black cloak and punctured her delicate skin, but she continued her pace threw the woods.
Her blue eyes held an anger no-one her age should know, as she scanned the earth in front of her.
Her breathe became ragged as she continued to barrel forwards. Her boot caught on a loose tree root causing her to trip and fall into the mud. She cursed and scrambled up continuing her pace as her foot throbbed.
She could see the sun beginning to set as the pink and oranges painted the sky with brilliant colors.
"No, She thought,"I can't miss it today, not again."
She quickened her pace threw the East wood, but she made it in time.
She slowed her gallop and began walking with her arms behind her head, to catch her breath.
Continuing into the opening, where the terrain became rocky and rough and tree roots stood up in awkward angles. She made her way towards the cliff face, and peered over the edge to see The Sea Of Broteel beating against it like a never ending drum.
Bralin was a large continent but inside of it an ocean lay waste to the shore. This ocean went down to the center of the earth making it warm like a bath. No one knew what it could do to you but the second rule of Bralin was not to touch the sea no matter what.
She took her seat on an old decrepit log with moss and mushrooms growing around and on it. Her blue orbs landed on a patch of daisies near-bye, she picked up a handful of daisies and began tinkering with them, like she had done so many times before.
While her hands tinkered with the daisies she watched the skies. The sun continued it's journey down the sky as many more colors entered. As she watched the sky, the colors from the world above her danced across her face. Making the dark blue war paint under her left eye, on the right side of her face, and under chin look hauntingly purple
A dark blue entered the sky, and stars began to sprinkle it, but then two massive bright rocks appeared in the sky.
And she knew. She knew they weren't coming back. It had been five years since they left and every sunset since then she had been waiting.
Waiting for the return of her parents.
She cried out in frustration rubbing her head messing up her hair, and kicking every rock she could find over the edge of the cliff. She tried punching one of the many boulders but resulted in giving herself bloodied knuckles.
Stomping, screaming, begging, and crying for some one to notice her to answer her prayers but no one ever answered.
The waves continued to bash the cliff-face with a continuous beat. Her face red a tear stricken she marched herself over to one of the many boulders. She pulled out the knife that was strapped to her arm and scratched another mark in the bolder.
1825 days. 1826 marks on the boulder. Five years since her parents went missing. On this very day.
