Frisk looked in the mirror of Chara's room. She was clad in Asriel's sweater, brown shorts, black tights and brown boots. The only difference was her eyes. Frisk had light brown eyes while Chara's were blood red. That's one of the differences between them. Frisk was sure that if she closed her eyes then that would also raise suspicion. Anxiety made Frisk pace back and forth in the room and run her finger through her hair. She sighed as another problem arose, she was gonna have to act like she hates Sans. Her heart ached a little at that, but she doesn't exactly think Chara will be gone long, right? Her phone buzzed, speak of the devil. "Chara!"

"Hey, Frisk, so change of plans,"

"Oh no, what happened?" Frisk asked and Chara sighed on the other line.

"Flowey's being difficult, he wants to play hide and seek apparently, I think I'm gonna be here a little longer," Chara said and Frisk bit her tongue to repress a grunt.

"So, another problem, I don't have red eyes," Frisk said and Chara growls a little on the phone

"Oh my god, that's right, fine, go to the Halloween store or something,"

"Is it even open?"

"It's worth a try, 'sister'," Chara exaggerated the last word and Frisk laughed a bit a that.

"Alright, I'll go, I guess with the hair I'll say the seasons changed it,"

"Wait, that can happen?" Chara asked and Frisk laughed again

"Yes," Frisk said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world

"Well I didn't know, I've been dead for the last couple years," Chara said, you could practically hear the roll of her eyes in her voice. Frisk heard a yell and then an apology. "Sorry, Papyrus decided it would be a good idea to shout a greeting to you while simultaneously being right next to my ear," Chara said and Frisk nearly died of laugher as a scenario of what exactly happened played in her mind. "Anyways, Papyrus said hi, and I guess I'll see you whenever Asriel decides to stop being a child,"

"Alright, goodbye, Chara," Frisk said as she hung up and grabbed a jacket, went to the front door to set off to the Halloween store but before she could, Toriel stopped her. Crap

"My child, where are you going?" Toriel asked and Frisk gulped as she tugged the hood lower over her head

"Um," she coughed, making her voice firmer and more confident "I'm going to get a few things, I'll be back," she said and Toriel brought a kiss to her forehead.

"Alright, I love you," Toriel said and Frisk had to bite her tongue to not say 'I love you too, mom'

"Yeah," She said as she walked through the front door. She set off to the Halloween store.

Chara walked down the long corridor alongside Papyrus. It was where Toriel left Frisk to only end up hiding behind a pillar.

"Chara?" Papyrus asked gently and Chara looked behind her. Papyrus looked to the ground. "It's just... you've been really quiet... is something wrong?" Papyrus said, maintaining control of the volume of his voice for her. Chara looked in front of her then looked to the ground as Papyrus stared at her.

"My plan is to get Asriel back, you know who he is," Chara said simply and Papyrus smiled.

"But why would you need Flowey?" Papyrus asked. Of course he doesn't know.

"Because Asriel is Flowey," Chara said and Papyrus stared at her in surprise.

"Really? Why didn't we know?" Papyrus asked and Chara rolled her eyes. He asks too much questions for her liking.

"Because Asriel said to Frisk that it's better if nobody knows, to put it simply," Chara said and Papyrus frowned.

"That's kinda sad," Papyrus said and Chara nodded. She looked to her left to see a room that she remembered had candy in it.

"I'm gonna go in it," Chara said as she walked in and Papyrus followed, fear of being alone, there was literally nobody there, Chara figured they wouldn't see anyone in the Ruins, really. The sign said take one but Chara ignored it and took a couple.

"Chara, it says take one," Papyrus said with a little laugh and Chara rolled her eyes

"But I want a couple, promise I'll share with you if that'll shut you up," Chara said and Papyrus shook his head

"How about you take one and I take one, so we are still following the rules!" Papyrus said, too cheerful for Chara's liking but Chara played along anyways and put the pieces back and took one while Papyrus took one too, but that didn't stop her from taking a few more when his back was turned. They continued along the path and came across another puzzle.

"Ugh! I've always hated this one! It's a waste of time!" Chara said in annoyance as she tugged at a strand of hair gently and Papyrus removed her hand away from her hair before she caused any real damage to herself.

"C'mon, princess, I'm sure it won't take that long!"

"It's not about how long it takes, it's rather fast but it's a waste of time, there's no point," Chara said as she crossed her arms and Papyrus smiled before he continued forward with Chara in tow. They fell through the hole and Chara remembered that after that, she had to go through the door on her right. She did and was right as they got back to where they were but on the other side and she huffed again from annoyance of that specific puzzle, she never really liked it. They kept going through a variety of puzzles which Papyrus loved and Chara hated. What a match, huh? Chara's eye started twitching from hatred of the puzzles but her hatred turned into a light feeling when a smile graced her lips as she saw the entrance when Frisk got the pastries from the spiders for the first time. Spiders used to scare her when she was younger but now they don't as much. She grinned and pulled Papyrus by the arm. "C'mon, Paps! Let's go, I want some spider doughnuts!" Chara said as she dragged him to the entrance of the nearly empty room save for few spider webs and a sign and Papyrus was surprised for a moment by the sudden mood change but smiled. It wasn't everyday that you saw a smile from her that didn't seem sinister, but happy and almost cute. Chara looked in her pockets but pouted and then turned to Papyrus "Do you have any gold?"

"Yes, I actually do!" He said and searched in his pockets for it. He finally found some and asked Chara how much she needed.

"I need 7G," Chara said and Papyrus happily handed the gold over. Her eyes lit up at the sight of it and she nearly squealed as the spiders came down with the doughnut. Chara happily ate it and even offered some to Papyrus. He politely declined but made a mental note that Chara gets really happy when she gets Muffet's delights. They walked down a corridor that used to hold Froggits giving advice but was now empty. So Chara just kept eating with a grin on her face and Papyrus had to tell her a few times to watch where she's going because she was paying more attention to her doughnut than to her surroundings. They came across another corridor and it ended with spikes. Chara finished the rest of her doughnut. "Fuck it, I'm gonna walk over this," Chara said as she stepped over the spikes and Papyrus stepped over it too.

"Chara, remember to watch your language," Papyrus said lightheartedly with a chuckle and Chara stuck out her tongue at him, whether or not it was playful is up to Papyrus. As they finished every other puzzle, much to Papyrus' joy, they came across the big tree, marking the point where Toriel's house was just up ahead.

"Hey! Weed! You better fucking be here! Or else Mom's gonna disapprove of you being in her house while she's not here!" Chara yelled and Papyrus was curious of his surroundings before he followed her into the house.

"So, this is Queen Toriel's old house!" Papyrus said and Chara looked around for Flowey before shaking her head, signaling he was nowhere to be found.

"He must be in Snowdin.." Chara mumbled under her breath. "Stupid,"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Chara lie in the bed Frisk had laid in when she was here, she couldn't hear Papyrus anywhere in the house. Maybe he actually goes to sleep every once in a while? She turned in the bed, facing the wall and after she did this, she heard the unmistakable voice of Flowey the flower.
"Howdy, Chara, did ya miss me?" She heard his high pitched voice and turned back around and sat up. She glared at him and he just smiled. "Golly, that's a nice face you've got there," he laughed and that only deepened her glare.
"Asriel." Chara got out of bed and knelt in front of him. "You think you're soo smart, since this is floorboards, I can't exactly dig you from the ground, now can I?" A hint of anger made it's way into her soul. Why was he being so difficult? It made no sense... But then again, Chara didn't exactly embrace the idea of coming back either...
"You can't? Oh, silly ol' me, I didn't know that," He said with an almost innocent voice and Chara shook her head
"Asriel, please! I just want you to come back, don't be difficult," she said, voicing her thoughts and Flowey made a face of disgust
"Stop calling me Asriel, my name is Flowey!" He said and Chara's anger and frustration grew but she tried to keep a calm voice, so she didn't make him prolong this game.
"Fine, Flowey, but either way, you have to come back, don't you wanna see mom? Or dad? Don't you wanna... Don't you wanna see Frisk? Weren't they the friend you've always wished for?" A hint of jealousy made her heart ache but she continued, her feelings could be dealt with in her own time.
"..." Flowey looked down with a frown on his face and refused to look at Chara.
"I know that Frisk was they friend you've always wanted and even though it's been years, they still are! They're still the merciful, sweet, nice, friendly, and lovable friend that you could have if you just come back, and you can become better friends than you already are!"
"I'm not her friend,"
"Honey, I spent these years in their mind, I only came back not too long ago, I know their thoughts, their memories, their feelings, and who they consider a friend or not, and you are one of their friends," Chara said and she actually thought she had convinced him to come with her for a moment but she should've known that it wouldn't be as easy to talk about just Frisk.
"You can't trick me like that!" Flowey said before he disappeared and Chara took a deep breath and let it out so that her frustration didn't get the best of her. Anger was pointless if she wanted to get Asriel back.
