Hey guys! So I've had a few people ask me how I plan out my books/do outlines, so I thought I'd give you guys a basic idea of what I do and hope it'll help you out!

Character Outlines {Credit for this goes to BriannaVore}

Here's an example

Name: Clary Fairchild

Age: 16

Hair Color: Red

Eye Color: Green

Likes: Drawing, art, Simon

Dislikes: Valentine

Additional Info: 

*She gets call from mother saying to stay away. Clary goes home

*Clary sees the Shadowhunters when nobody else can

I hope you guys get the basic idea of this! It really helps me with my characters.

Book Outlines

Okay, so with these, you obviously can add and take away whatever you want. For instance, I wrote 67 of these for each chapter of How To Kill A Bad Boy, all varying in length and what's in them. An example of what this may be is below

Chapter Title {The Fault In Our Stars}

*Hannah Baker is a Freshman and new student at Liberty High

*She meets Clay Jensen, the awkward outcast kid (also friends with jock Jeff Atkins) who she immediately feels a bond with. They talk a bit and learn that they have a little in common (including that they both feel as if they don't belong)

*Before day ends, Hannah accidentally runs into jock in hallway. He helps her pick up books and hands them over, revels his name is Justin. Hannah can't help but admire his beautiful eyes and remembers her friend vaguely mentioning him before she started school. He asks her if she's new, she nods and they go their separate ways with a wink from him. 

*Time skips to Hannah at home eating with parents. They ask how day went. She gives them a vague description and mentions Clay, but keeps her run in with Justin quiet, not feeling the need to explain the situation to them. She then excuses herself and goes back to room.

*She's surprised when she finds text on her phone from Justin followed by a text from her friend Kat, saying "You're welcome." Hannah buries face in pillow and screams in excitement before staring down at phone and trying to figure out how to respond.
