Jessica's point of view

It was Friday afternoon and I was super excited! It was group night, so my friends and I stayed up late in the tree house, then when we wanted to sleep, we divided it into boys' sleeping quarters, girls' sleeping quarters, and space for the people who were still awake. I had just finished my homework when the doorbell rang. "Coming," I called as I ran downstairs. I opened the door to let Angela, Alex, Michael, Luna, Jake, and Maddie in.

Angela and Luna were twins, but they were nothing alike. Angela had shortish, blond, wavy hair that she always wore in a ponytail that came down to her shoulders. She was tall and skinny (which was the only thing they had in common) and had long model-like hands and fingers. Luna, however, had really long hair that went down to the top of her thighs that she always wore down, and her hair was so black it was darker than night (unlike her sister who had hair so blond it was almost blinding an brighter than the stars).

Alex and Michael weren't brothers but were so close that you'd think they were. They even looked sort of alike. Alex had brown hair and Michael had white hair which wasn't uncommon due to the fact that he was born on the winter moon, (which only came out every 10 years) because of this, he was called a winter baby. They both, however, had vivid, piercing, emerald green eyes. They also had pale skin and were total night owls.

Jake and Maddie were called oddlings because of when they were born. Jake was born first and was fully developed. Maddie was unexpected and was born a month later. She was also healthy and fully developed. They both had dirty blond, slightly auburn, hair, hazel eyes, and slightly tanned skin.

Then there's me. Jessica Brown. I have bright green eyes and long red hair that goes down to just above my ankles. I have a freckle dusted face and lightly tanned skin. I'm short for a 16 year old but have long legs and fingers. But enough about me, let's talk about what happened that night.
