Ep. 16 ~ Don't Disrespect My Family

Mother gave us a strong lecture and Boruto and I were in a 2 week suspension. Even though it was Boruto's fault why the train crashed into the mountain, I decided to take the punishment with him. I didn't want him to go through his punishment alone.

During those 2 weeks, Mother grounded us both. But my punishment lasted for 1 week since she knew it was all of Boruto's doing and I roped myself into it.

Our punishments were basically chores and cooking. Boruto didn't like it, and I didn't mind at all. At least it wasn't anything soo harsh for the punishment. Mother's wrath can be very scary when she gets very mad.

The next day, while walking to school, Boruto and Denki Kaminarimon became close friends. Denki's father, owner of the train company, paid for the damages because Boruto stuck up for Denki.

Luckily, our father's face is being repaired right now.

"Wow. It's Himiko! She's the daughter of Hokage's wife! Isn't she pretty, Sarada!" Chocho Akamichi whispers while her eyes are sparkling and looking at me.

"Good morning." I smile and wave at her and the girl next to her, Sadara.

"Hey, Himiko!" Shikadai waves to me.

"Good morning, Shikadai." I run over to him.

"How was your 2 week suspension?"

"It wasn't all that bad. I was grounded for at least a week. But Boruto's punishment lasted the whole 2 weeks."

"I'm not surprised. The whole academy has been gossiping about the two of you. You two should keep a low profile."

"I'm not worried. All I care about is my brother having a good reputation. And if someone were to talk bad about him in front of me, I'll handle it." I smile. "Besides, that's what a big sister does."

"I hope you know what you're doing."

"I'll be alright." I smile again and enter inside the academy with Shikadai. When we entered inside the classroom, everyone's eyes were on Boruto and I. Boruto played it cool, as if nothing happened as he took his seat.

I decided to sit behind him, Shikadai, and Denki. While the 3 were chatting, I heard voices behind me. "Those 3. . . How come they weren't punished for what they did?"

"They kind of were."

"But that's not just some silly prank. If that train cart would have landed into town, it would have been a disaster."

"Are you saying there's a cover up?"

"Shhh! They can hear you! Gah!" One of them looks my way to notice me giving them a murderous look. With that look, they back off.

"Wow, look at that! I forgot my textbook." Boruto laughs.

"Seriously? It's your first day. What a drag." Shikadai sighs.

"Share yours with me, Shikadai."

"What? No way."

"Oh, come on. Don't be harsh now."

'As I thought.' I sigh and reach in my bag. "Here, brother. You can borrow mine. Shikadai, do you mind sharing yours with me for the time being?"

"Sure." Shikadai smiles.

"What?! You share your textbook with her, but not me!?"

"Stay out of it."

{Sarada's P.O.V.}

"Boruto and Himiko sure stand out, do they?" Sumire says.

"Aren't people only paying attention to them because of that ridiculous stunt Boruto pulled? He dragged his sister with him. I get that they're siblings, but Himiko watches over him like a bodyguard. But, it's so cute!" Chocho fangirls over Himiko. "Don't you guys go way back, Sarada?"

"Not really. Our parents know each other and are good friends, that's all." I answer and look back at Himiko.

"So you all are childhood friends?"

"I can hardly say that. I find it hard to believe that those two are siblings."

"Yeah, me too. But their parents are seriously cool." Chocho places her hands behind her head.

"Lord Naruto Uzumaki, the Hokage and Akina Otsutsuki. She is so beautiful." Sumire smiles and I look back at Himiko again.

Himiko is the center of the attention here not just because of her beauty, but also because of her skill. She's a very pretty girl and she gets it from her mother. I've seen Himiko's mother and she's beautiful.

I always see Himiko with Boruto or by herself, and she only shows emotion when she's around her brother. The rest of the time, she give out a blunt facial expressions that are hard to read. She doesn't talk much and only says a few words in one sentence for an answer.

I really want to become friends with her, but I don't know how to approach her. She's just...so cool.

{Himiko's P.O.V.}

"Writing on the Hokage's tales." I hear somebody say about my dad, causing my eyes to glance at the owner of the voice. "Oops. Did I say that out loud?"

"Hey, Inojin. That's a bit harsh." Shikadai corrects him.

"Oh, sorry. If I offended, I take it back." The boy, Inojin, dryly smiles. "Although, I'm only saying what everybody else is thinking. If any other kid caused a train to jump the tracks, chances are they get thrown in jail."

"But, that's-" Denki was going to say something but Boruto stops him by shaking his head.

"Inojin, listen. You know that isn't what really happened." Shikadai gives Inojin a look.

"I guess so. Anyway, Boruto, Himiko. How long has it been?" He turns his attention to my brother and I.

"Don't know. So, how ya been?" Boruto smiles at him.

"You know each other?" Denki questions.

"All of our parents are." Shikadai says. "I don't understand you, Inojin. I know you've been like this for a long time, but why do you always shoot your mouth off?"

"I'm really not trying to cause trouble or anything."

"Don't worry about it. We're all friends here, right?" Boruto holds out his hand and Inojin smacks it away. He gives out another dry smile and says,

"I just don't think you're worthy any of my trust."

"Then that makes us the same." I speak up and everyone looks at me. "It doesn't matter who are parents were back then, but that doesn't give you the right to be so rude to my brother like this." I stand out of my seat and walk over to Inojin. "I don't care if you're saying what's on your mind, but I'm only going to say this once and tell you this as a warning. Please do not disrespect or mess with my brother. If you want to get to him, you'll have to get through me first. Or else there will be consequences. And I could care less about consequences of my actions. Nobody goes after my brother like that."

The room went silent and all eyes were wide. I am not afraid to go through great lengths for my brother. And I won't tolerate any disrespect towards my family. I will do whatever it takes to protect them.

No matter what...

"Aren't you taking it a bit too far? Chill out, kiddo." A hand is placed on the top of my head from behind, causing me to blink.

"Hey! Uncle Ritsu!" Boruto smiles.

"Uncle Ritsu?" I turn around.

"Yo." He smirks through his mask as Shino-Sensei walked into the room. I guess this means he'll be helping with class.

Throughout the day, Shino-Sensei measured us all on our basic skills while Uncle Ritsu was keeping an eye on all of us. By lunch time, 3 other students rushed out of the classroom as if they were in a hurry to get out.

"What's their problem?" Boruto asks and I shrug my shoulders. "Hey, let's all get something to eat-"

"Get out of here." Boruto, Shikadai, Denki, and I all hear a voice. "You're bothering me. Can't you see I'm using this room." Another student stood up from one of the desk that he was lying down on.

"Who's that?"

"Iwabee Yuino..." Denki whispered.

"He didn't past the graduation exam twice." Shikadai adds.

"So, an upperclassman. Cool! Nice to meet ya." Boruto waves at him.

"I don't want to be your little friend, Hokage's boy." Iwabee scoffed. He has such an attitude.

"Hey, watch it. What does it matter who's son that I am?" Boruto glares. Iwabee jumps off the desk and lands in front of Boruto, and grabs his shirt.

"I just don't like the idea of having a guy like you hanging around a guy like me all the time." When he said this, I chop his wrist in order for him to let go. "Ouch!" He steps back while holding his wrist and I step in front of my brother.

"Please don't touch my brother." I say politely.

"You think you're special?" Iwabee walks over to me. "I would go in my father's shadow if I were you."

"Why?" I ask as I tilted my head to the side. "Never mind." I shake my head. "But I would take that back. If I were you." I mock him and he grabs my shirt and throws me.

"Himiko!" Boruto shouts. I back flip in the air and land in a kneeling position. "Hey! Nobody does that to my sister!"

"It's okay, Boruto." I stand up and dusk myself off.

"Listen to me! Strength is the only thing that matters when it comes to being a ninja!" Iwabee shouts and walks over to me. "What's the point in studying obediently like all of you?

This boy rants about the Great Shinobi War 10 years ago and how my father got soft and turned this place academy into a soft spot. If he keeps this up, I'll have no choice but to defend for my family.

"You're wrong. Weakling or not, everyone is welcomed. My brother is the reason why Denki joined the academy and everyone is learning. You may not like it, but everybody else seems to be just fine with it."

Suddenly my throat is grabbed and I am lifted in the air. "Pretty brave words for you to say that to the likes of me. You only get to speak to me like that after you defeat me!"

"I will kindly ask you to release me this instant."

"Or else what? You gonna cry to your mommy and daddy to come save you? Show me what you can do!"

"I have something else in mind." I grab onto Iwabee's wrist and flip him over my shoulder, and stomp my foot on his chest harshly while twisting his wrist. "Keep in mind, you made the first move and I retaliated out of defense. So, I am in no wrong. You did this to yourself. I will not tolerate anybody who disrespects my family, and I said this before that I do not care about the consequences of my actions. As I see things, you bully people just to get them to do what you want because that's what strength to you is."

"Himiko." Boruto and Shikadai call to me.

"It's okay. I won't break anything that belongs to him. That would be wrong." I release Iwabee and walk over to them, then turn back to Iwabee. "I will say it one more time so you can get it in your head, Iwabee. Do not insult what you don't know. All you know is bits and pieces of tiny litttle things. But, other than that," I give him a closed eye smile as I tilt my head to the side,

"It's nice to meet you."
