'Good news, guys' Chan said a few months later at a family meeting. He was wearing the widest grin ever.

'Omg what is it??' Jisung jumped excitedly up and down in his seat.

We all waited eagerly for our leader to continue.

'So, you may have noticed that I talked to our head management several times over the last days. And after hours of arguing with the most bigoted old men you can imagine, I'm able to proudly say that you can come out with your sexualities to our fans.'

'Really?!'

'How the hell did you convince them to let that happen?'

'Wait, wait, Chan, who exactly can come out?'

'Excellent question, Minho, which I would've already answered if you noisy children would have let me speak out once in my lifetime.'

'Stop being grumpy'

'Shut up'

In the occuring second of silence, Chan began: 'Well, unfortunately-'

'NooooOoooOo..'

'Jisung-'

'Can someone glue his mouth shut please?'

'I can' Minho said grinning smugly, starting to lean towards the younger.

'Stop it! No more make out sessions at family meetings!'

'Stop taking all my fun away' Jisung said pouting.

Chan took a deep breath with closed eyes, waiting for us to calm down.

'As I wanted to say, unfortunately the bigoted old men were pretty stubborn and thus the possiblity to come out mainly refers to Minho and Felix, because you two were outed already before our debut. You other queer members just have to wait a little longer, but I'm positive that you can follow suit smoothly once Felix and Minho did the first step.'

'Oh, what a bummer' Jisung mumbled disappointed.

'Hey, this is way more than I expected them to ever give us' Hyunjin leaned over me to ruffle Jisung's hair. 'We've been closeted for so long, a few more months won't hurt anyone.'

Chan watched them with a hinted smile. 'Okay, Felix, Minho, you two take your time to decide, if, when and how you want to do this, then come back to me and we'll clear everything up with the management. I hope these cowards won't bail on us.'

As everyone was busy with their own stuff again, I went over to Chan and engulfed him in a bear hug.

'Thank you', I whispered.

A few days later the three of us sat together again.

'So, what do you think?' Chan asked.

Minho fumbled with his hands, his gaze focused on them. 'I... I won't come out.'

'What?' I asked surprised, not sure if I understood right.

'Why?' Chan used a more empathic tone.

Minho looked guiltily at me. 'I'm sorry Felix, but I won't come out yet' he repeated.

I shook my head 'You don't have to apologize. But why?'

He sighed. 'I talked with Jisung and Hyunjin. They'd be alright with me coming out, of course, but... I don't know, I want to take this step together with them, when they can out themselves, too. And I don't know when our management will be okay with a partly open gay polyamorous relationship between idols of the same group.' He let out an amused huff.

I had to snort at the thought. 'I don't think they'll be ready for that any time soon.'

'Sorry, but no', Chan said shaking his head, 'I had to explain the majority of them that bisexual isn't the same thing as gay every time I used the word. They live somewhat behind the moon concerning that topic.'

'Also, we're dating. They get strokes even with straight idols dating.'

We all nodded a moment in silence.

'I decided for myself that I will wait for a little while longer' Minho continued, 'It would feel weird to be out to the world while my boyfriend is right next to me and still closeted and I couldn't even kiss him on camera. Just me outing myself wouldn't gain anyone anything. I don't have a problem with continuing as we are now. As long as it's not forever.'

'That it won't be. I'll ensure that.' The both exchanged a long glance. Minho wore a carefully vulnerable expression he only ever showed Chan.

'Moreover', he said, breaking eye contact, 'everyone knows about Jisung and me anyways. We're somewhat obvious.'

I nodded. 'Yes you are. You were obvious even before you got together.'

Chan chuckled. 'The way everyone could smell sixty miles against the wind that you had a massive crush on that guy. I'm sure that the whole fandom will celebrate a minsung coming out once you do it.'

'I'm just anxious how they will react to Hyunjin.'

'I wouldn't worry about that too much. I'm sure there are people out there who ship you three as a trouple.'

'You think?' He raised his eyebrows doubting.

'Yes' Chan said. 'Believe me, I spent way more time on wattpad and ao3 than healthy for me.'

I laughed out. 'Do you secretly read skz- fanfictions?'

'Maybe. Moving on. Felix. Coming out. Do you want to?'

'Yes.' I said without hesitation. Minho applauded in small at my enthusiasm.

I cleared my throat. 'I think I want to come out via an official announcement from our label. For the first time, this feels like the safest option to avoid speculations or misunderstandings.'

'That's a good idea' Minho said contemplating.

Chan nodded agreeing. 'Do you have something particular that you want to say?'

'Yeah, I actually wrote a small text the management can publish.' I fiddled a rumpled piece of paper out of my pocket and gave it to Chan.

'Oh someone has done their homework' Minho chuckled. He stood up and leaned over Chan's shoulder. Together they skimmed over my messy handwriting, which didn't feel awkward at all.

'It's cute.' Minho said finally. He smiled at me.

'Yeah, I don't think the management will have a problem with that. And Stay will love you for sure.'

'They already do, don't they?'

'We'll see' I said shyly.

'Hey', on his way back to his seat, Minho stopped next to me and made me look up at him. 'Are you really okay with doing this alone? For you, I would-'

'No, Minho, don't. You're right to keep back. And I'm not alone. I've got all of you and a huge supportive fandom.'

I halfway turned around and slung my arms around his waist and hugged him.

He gave up resisting after a few tries and gently put his hands on my shoulders.

'You know' Minho whispered, 'you could tease them a little and tell them that you're not the only queer member of Stray Kids. To keep them guessing. It'd be super fun to watch.'

'Oh I'll maybe do it. Maybe not. I don't want to share all my attention with speculations about you guys.' I grinned smugly up at him, showing my teeth.

'Hey Chan' Minho said acting thoughtful while he tried to wrench himself out of my grip. 'Do you also think Felix has gotten a little too sassy since they came out to us? Like they're a little to sure about themselves- let me go!'

I buried my face giggling in his stomach.

I heard Chan's laughter. 'Felix, respect your elders!'

'Go and read your y/n fanfictions about Ryan Reynolds!'

'Felix!' Minho called scandalized while Chan fell off his chair laughing.

'Oh, speaking of nonbinary...' I said, sobering up slowly. I let Minho go back to his chair, which he did, but not without ruffling my hair aggressively. Chan meanwhile climbed back on his seat, gripping the table for stabilisation.

'Yeah, what?' He said still out of breath.

'Well, did they say anything about...?' I trailed off.

Chan thankfully understood what I was trying to get at.

With one last sniff he had sobered up completely.

'If you can come out as nonbinary too? I don't know. Not yet, that's sure. The management still has no idea how to deal with that at all. But I think there's hope.'

He thought a moment, choosing his words carefully.

'We could see your bisexual outing as a test run - if the fandom and critics respond positively to it, the management may be more willing to let you come out as nonbinary, too. No matter what happens, though, we'll find a way, okay?'
