[SOMETHINGS NEVER CHANGE]

There was one thing Sirene Black was absolutely terrified of, change. Don't get her wrong, she loved it too — she loved getting away from her parents and their stupid bloody most noble house of Black with their stupid pureblood supremacy, but when she had to leave the one place she loved forward to going every summer, she was quite dumbfounded on how she was going to spend the rest of her life.

     Now, she did have a few plans, but for now they had to wait because Euphemia Potter wasn't going to, the woman took quick strides towards the group of children, giving them all a bone-crashing hug, "Oh, my! Seems like just yesterday you were all running around the train station, causing trouble"

"They were running around causing trouble just now, Mia" Fleamont said shaking his head as he came into view, he grabbed on James's ear and then pulled it with a stern expression, "Take it out of his bag"

"I have no idea what— ow, oW, OW!" James said grabbing onto his ear, "Ok, fine! Sirius check your bag for a dungbomb"

"Ok" Sirius shrugged.

"Wait, Sirius, don't—" Sirene got interrupted by a burst of black glitter that covered Sirius releasing a disgusting odor, "—open it" Sirene and everyone started coughing and soon Euphemia had to clean out Sirius with a spell.

"I'm gonna get you back for that one, Potter" Sirius said with a dangerous look on his face, "Just wait and se— oh my god is that a poodle?"

"Quick, Daisy, hide while you can!" Lily said shielding her dog but chuckled when she saw the pout on Sirius's face, "Just kidding — her name is Daisy and I brought her here just for you"

"Aw, Lily" Sirene cooed, "Bold of you to assume I wouldn't steal her before Sirius could even take a look at her"

"In your dreams, maybe" Sirius scoffed and the twins looked at each other before running towards the dog, Daisy wagged her tail excitedly waiting to be showered with belly rubs and head scratches.

"Ha!" Sirene said with a triumphant look on her face as she pet the dog in front of her, "I won, like always"

"I hope you know I hate you" Sirius grumbled watching Sirene from behind, "Cheater"

"What? I am not a cheater!" Sirene crossed her arms, getting up and facing Sirius with a frown, "You're just a sore loser!"

     "Nuh uh!" Sirius said crossing his arms like Si, "You got a headstart"

     Lily released a sigh before walking up to her boyfriend and pulling him into a long hug, "I'm gonna miss you, James"

     James smiled at that, no matter how many times Lily would say his first name — it still made him happy, "I'm gonna miss you too, Lily-pad"

     "Oh, great, Neveah!" Sirene said pulling the brunette in front of her, Neveah had a confused look on her face, "Here, control your dog"

     "I—" Sirene walked away from there before Neveah could finish her sentence and then searched the crowd for a certain raven-haired boy, she assumed Andrew was probably picking up Ariel but she also wanted to see him before she went back to the Potter's Manor.

"Boo!" A voice said from behind her and she turned around with a bored look on her face.

"Really, Annie?" Sirene said rolling her eyes as she pulled him into a tight hug, "You're never gonna get me, you know that, right?"

"It's worth a try" Andrew said burying his face in her neck, "I'm gonna miss you"

"I would miss me too" Sirene pat his back and got pushed away as a response, "Kidding, I'm kidding, geez, I'm gonna miss you two, you idiot"

"You're such an idiot" Andrew said with a smile and then kissed her shortly, "God, I'm really going to miss you"

"Well, you know" Sirene dragged on, "The offer still stands — I would love to have you at our house"

"I'll have to talk to Arielle" Andrew sighed, "I don't want to leave her — she's all I really have now"

"I get it" Sirene nodded and pulled him in for another hug, "Take care, assface, I'm gonna miss you a lot"

"Out of all the cute nicknames you could've chosen for me" Andrew shook his head, "Sometimes I wonder why I love you"

"Isn't that a refreshing way of saying 'I love you'" Sirene joked, "Go on, now, Arielle's waiting for you" she passed him a smile, "Hey, Annie"

"What?" Andrew asked.

"I love you" Sirene said with an awkward grin, she should really be getting used to saying it by now — but she isn't.

"And I love you" Andrew said and waved at her as he walked away to his sister who was waiting at the other end of the station.

Sirene watched him disappear as he apparated away from the platform and back to his house, she really was going to miss the idiot. This last year for her has been great, she got great grades, she has a stable relationship and she finally felt so at home and at peace, but of course — things had to change again.

She hates whoever created the concept of aging.

I mean, one hand she was kind of glad she's gonna get to train to be an auror now but on the other she hates that she has to, she just wishes she had more time to be just kids. Of course, that wasn't possible now.

"You kids ready?" Euphemia asked, as James, Sirius and Sirene looked around the platform for one last time, especially at the place the twins had first met James Potter — one of the bestest friends anyone could ever have.

It's crazy to think that it was all seven years ago, it feels like just yesterday James had stumbled into the twins and stepped on Sirene's hand, and acquainted with Moony and Marlene on the train, making fun of Lily in the Great Hall, sharing the dorm with Alice.

"Yeah, we're ready" Sirius and Sirene said together, grinning at each other after that, Sirene guesses that some things that never change are always there to bring comfort when things do change.

I had fun writing this one omg I missed writing about Sirene and friends so much😭😭
