i also wanted to let you know, a good way on learning stylization (in my opinion) is going on social media platforms (i.e: twitter, instagram, tumblr) or pinterest especially. find styles of artists that you like and take inspiration from them! for example, my style is heavily influenced by __99a19 on twitter. 

here are some quick sketches of anatomy (i tried to draw them fast, to show that practice can really improve your flow and efficiency. i don't even think about the proportions anymore— they just come naturally.)

try measuring the proportions that i mentioned in the guide using these sketches. you'll see that most of them follow the proportions, without being too exact either. 

after a lot of practice, try to stop thinking too much about the proportions and let it come naturally to you. in my opinion, i find that it looks much cleaner and less stiff. 

i also recommend trying to work fast. that doesn't mean you should rush, but you should try practicing quicker so the strokes are more confident as well. the overall feeling of the drawing is much more freer. 

and one last tip! a lot of people tend to do this, but it often ruins the piece. DO  NOT USE HATCH MARKS. 

people are focused on making the lines perfect and symmetrical. this creates tunnel vision and you become wayyy too focused on one part, that you don't see the bigger picture. the drawing ends up disproportioned or uneven and not pleasing to the eye. it's like when you draw one suuuper detailed, amazing eye but then you realize you can't draw the other one. 

... like that. (i gave up trying to find my old drawings when i used to do that for real...)
