At the Cost of A Whisper
They trudged on through thick brush and heavy terrain as the sun's rays beat down on them. It was a hot day. Probably one of the hottest they had seen in a while. Yet that did not stop the determined King from his mission. What did stop him was the condition of his travel partner.
Yoongi has been so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn't notice Kira lagging behind. She was stumbling about in the brush cursing under her breath.
"How much water have you had?" He asked, concerned, taking hold of her elbow to steady her. Kira's cheeks were red, her lips were chapped and she was no longer sweating. That wasn't a good sign.
"I'm fi—ine I just ne—" she fell into him like a ton of bricks.
"Kira!"
Carefully he picked her up, carrying her up to a dried up bank. All around were different bushes, one with the tiniest blue flowers you'd ever seen sitting underneath a tree that hung over the dried up bank.
He laid her down on the ground, moving to dig into the earth in hopes of finding water beneath the soil.
"Ugh! Why is there no water here?!" He grumbled in frustration. Something moved out the corner of his eye. Yoongi quickly stood up, drawing his sword.
"Who's there?" He demanded, sword at the ready.
A gentle laugh drifted through the air. No direction as to where it came from.
"Show yourself!"
No answer.
"I said show yourself!" He growled in frustration. Perhaps he was starting to hallucinate from exhaustion. He sighed, shoulders drooping and sword falling waywardly to his side. His knees buckled, hitting the ground hard.
Just before he passed out he heard a whisper.
"Yoongi..."
All around him the Forest came to life. Tiny tea lights came with little orbs of water dropping them on the two unconscious humans.
"Tigs, are they okay?" A purple tea light asked, dropping another orb. She was turning to get another when Hwasa stirred.
"They will be fine, little one." She whispered. The tiny tea light smiled, flying off to fetch more water.
"You must not let him see you." Hwasa warned. Tigs nodded sadly. He remembered Yoongi's time in the forest. Some bad, but towards the end were of pure happiness. He seemed older now, more sophisticated. However, there was a different kind of sadness that hovered around him.
"Why can't they let him be happy?" He sighed, turning to fly deep into the forest.
Hwasa smiled at the man that laid just a few feet from her. He had come so far. Changed an entire empire for the better. All the while pining for a love lost to memories.
No one told him. They weren't allowed. Even a whisper could doom them all.
Slowly her eyes drifted to where Chakri rests deep within the brambles and thickets.
A whisper cost her so much.
Fates

"Memories are a terrible thing to lose." Giggled Seulgi as she played with a long piece of blue thread.
"I do believe his has been the most fun to get rid of. Although he really did screw a lot of our plans up."
Yeri rolled her eyes. Seulgi was just upset that he didn't want her. None of the gods ever wanted them. She didn't blame them though. We were responsible for not letting the world fall into chaos, but not meddle with too much. Because you know, Free will and all. Seulgi liked to forget that and Irene.
Irene always did what Seulgi suggested. Even if she complained to Yeri about it later. Like right now. Right now the king was on his way to visit them.
"Seulgi, remember what happened last time you tried to change something for your benefit?"
Seulgi glared at Yeri.
"It's not the same." She hissed.
"How is it not the same? I'm not losing my eyes again because of you!"
Seulgi threw a pair of golden scissors at her with narrowed eyes. Irene gasped as the scissors slid across Yeri's cheek.
"Seulgi, Stop it!" She helped, rushing over to check Yeri's face.
"She needs to learn her place." Spat Seulgi, sitting down on the ground.
"You'd do realize where the King just fainted, right?" Sneered Yeri, folding her arms across her chest while Irene tended to her wound. Seulgi looked into the sapphire orb, sucking in air.
"Where's a god when you need one?"
"You rang?" Giggled a sweet mischievous voice.
Jungkook walked into the room with a smirk. His deep purple robes hugging his chest and his dark wavy hair fell into his purple eyes.
"What do three beautiful ladies such as yourselves, need a handsome god like me for?" He winked at Yeri, who rolled her eyes.
"We don't need your help Jungkook, beat it!"
"Tsk...Tsk... I don't think you were the one who called." He gave her a devious look, moving towards Seulgi slowly.
"What does the fairest one desire?" He cooed, taking her chin into his hand. Seulgi blushes, pushing him lightly on his chest.
"I have a problem."
"Oh?"
"I need you to steer someone in a different direction. Confuse them if you must. They are too close to someone that could ruin our future plans."
"Ruin your plans is more like it." Yeri mumbled. Seulgi Shot a dirty look. The fates weren't agreeing on things lately and that alone could cause horrendous disasters above. Some things have already begun.
"What do I get in return?"
"My undying gratitude—" Seulgi thought for a moment before she continued, "I may also be able to convince The Great Creator to give you a new job for your efforts." She smiled sweetly.
Jungkook tapped his fingers on his chin, his lips pursed, and his eyes squinted. He'd been played once before. Not by the fates, but by a pesky white nine tailed fox. She didn't play fair. What makes them any different.
"How can I be sure of this arrangement."
"Follow me." She curled her finger at him as she turned to walk into the depths of hell. Jungkook followed after her, anxious to see what would seal their deal.
"Oh— that. You want to give me that job." He smirked happily. "You've got yourself a god. One ready for mischief."
