I walk down the stairs as Fraiser walks in front of me as he announces. "I present to you, Miss Navi. A beautiful Master piece." He then pauses and proceeds to say, "thanks to me, of course." I roll my eyes and giggle as I finally make it down stairs.

Daniel looks at me as pride seems to roll off him in waves. "You look lovely, Navi," I smile and bow my head down. I then look back at him and say with pure honesty.

"I feel like it. I really do." He smiles a genuine smile and holds eye contact for a moment. Then turns to Fraiser, who is giving us an odd look.

"Am I missing something here"? He questions.

I look at him and shrug my shoulders "what do you mean" at the same time, Daniel mutters a sharp no.

Fraiser shrugs, "Then let's go, or we will be late." Fraiser cries out as he opens the door and heads out. I giggle as I look back at Daniel.

He raises his eyebrows, "your eyes are brown?" He asks I open my mouth to respond, but Fraiser cuts me off as he yells, "hurry up before I leave you!" I giggle a little as I rush out the front door with Daniel right on my heels. We climb into the car and take off.

Finally, we arrive at a vast mansion. It's gorgeous. It isn't the size of the king's castle, but it is impressive. We walk in, and butlers escort us into a smaller version of the ballroom from the villa.

I smile as I look around. "It's so beautiful," I say.

"Thank you" I quickly turn to see a man smiling at me. His eyes are a dark blue and his hair blonde. (Guy up top^) I raise my eyebrows, "I own the place." he says with a smirk. Without thinking, my mouth opens, and the words flow out.

"Is that supposed to impress me? "

He laughs as he walks up closer to me, wine glass in hand, towering over me "why yes, yes it is."

I nod. "Sorry, but you failed," I say with a small smile, he raises a brow.

"Feisty, are we? I think I'll have you for dessert tonight," I take a step back as he mimics my actions. "Not so feisty now are we-"

"Leave her alone, Don. " Daniel places a hand on my arm, to which Don raises his hand in mock surrender, "I didn't know she was yours, my apologies," with another wink, Don glides away.

I turn to see Daniel still glaring in his direction, Fraiser comes up, "Daniel, someone just insulted my suit." Daniel looks at him with a raised eyebrow.

Fraiser sighs, "You know what! I don't even give a damn."

Daniel rolls his eyes, letting go of my arm. "Fraiser, you give so many damns they are visible from space."

"Ugh, whatever Daniel Whatever," Fraiser replies while smoothing out his suit.

"So when is that beautiful piece of ass king coming. " Fraiser mumbles, without thinking I shoot him a glare, but quickly cover it up as I look in a different direction.

Wait, Bain is going to be here?

"Should be any min-"

Suddenly the doors open, and everyone looks towards the entrance, Bain in a black suit, walks in, head held high with his black hair slicked back, a slight stubble on his face, but still, he looks just as perfect. Our eyes come in contact, and I smile as I don't feel the sparks.

This should work then; with the contacts blocking the connection, I should be fine as long as he does not touch me. Keeping my secret should be a piece of cake.

"Bain over here, I want you to meet my new friend." My eyes widen as Daniels's voice carries over the crowd. Bain walks to us, his face emotionless. "Bain this is my new Friend Navi," Bain gives me a slight nod.

I bow my head, adding a little curtsy. Bain eyes me a little too long for comfort. I look to Daniel to see him giving us a satisfied look. I furrow my eyebrows together.

The music starts, and I grab Daniel's arm quickly, "let's dance."

We end up on the dance floor following the waltz every other couple is doing. Daniel gives me a confused look. "Why did you want to dance."

I send a glare his way "Why are you acting like you are trying to set me up with the king?" I accuse in a hushed whisper in fear Bain might hear me.

He smiles at my assumption. "He is my best friend, of course, I'm going to introduce you to him, though personally yes I ship you two together I think you'd be perfect but he has a mate, and if she doesn't want to be found I won't find her," he says giving me a pointed look. "But that doesn't mean he won't find her and that doesn't mean I'll help her hide either,"

He pauses then continues, "I know you are his mate Navi. I can tell by how you've been acting, plus you're not good at lying and adding to the fact your initials match perfectly to the gloves."

My eyes widen, "Gloves?"

He nods as he spins me and leads me back to him. "At the ball, Bain's mate was wearing gloves," he then corrects himself "You were wearing gloves."

I sigh in defeat, "but you won't give me away, right?"

He nods, "but I won't help you hide," he adds on.

I roll my eyes as he comments, "I think you should just tell him already; he would love you."
I shake my head, "you think being a glitch is cute at first, but it's not." I say sadly, "it gets old after a while."

He gives me a sad smile as the song turns to an end, and we slow to a stop. Looking around, I spot Bain eyeing us, Frasier giving us a wicked grin.

"I think Fraiser thinks we are mates." I muse to Daniel.

Daniel shakes his head, "The damn gossiper, come on." I follow Daniel to Bain and Frazier.

"So when are you going to tell us about your mate?" Fraiser teases Bain nods, giving a small teasing smile.

Daniel shakes his head "She is not my mate."

Bain rolls his eyes "I've never seen you dance Daniel, I've seen you turn many girls down and never dance."

Daniel gives him a pointed look "She dragged me to the dance floor. What was I supposed to do.?"

"Uh, I'm right here," I remind them. Daniel cast me a look then looks back at Bain.

Suddenly I see a mischievous glint in his eye and a big smile on his lips, and he gestures towards me.

"Bain, why don't you and Navi dance," my eyes widen as I shake my head.

"Oh no, no, no, my feet are hurting. I can barely stand, let alone dance." I exclaim.

Daniel crosses his arms, looking at me, "Oh, come on."

I look at Fraiser then back at Daniel. "Why don't you and Fraiser dance you were talking about wanting to while we were dancing" a smirk plays on my lips as Daniels face drops.

Fraiser grabs Daniel's hand and quickly leads him to the dance floor while saying, "You don't even have to ask!"

I giggle and hear a deep chuckle behind me. I look and see Bain looking down at me, "You know Daniel is gonna get you back for that later, right?" I shrug, feeling my breath takin away at Bain's voice.

He clears his throat as he nods at me " Excuse me it's time I make an announcement I'll be right back," I nod, not being able to find my voice as my stomach twist in knots.

The music slows to a stop as Bain steps on stage. I see Daniel glaring as he walks towards me, Fraiser following behind with a huge smile.

"I'll get you back," Daniel warns as he stands beside me. I smile, "So I've heard."

All talking comes to a stop as someone hands Bain a microphone.

"Alright! We are looking for my mate; we can easily rule out names because my mate's initials were on the gloves that slipped off her hand, my beta has been writing names of the girls in this town, I need volunteers to get the names of girls in other towns! If you are willing to see my advisors immediately. We must find your queen." He then nods and hands the microphone back, and the crowd gives a round of applause.

Music starts playing, and I look at Daniel nervously. "How many girls here have the same initials as I?"

Without hesitation, "Five," He crosses his arms, giving me a knowing look. "Just save your self the hassle and turn yourself in."

I shake my head, "He has already looked in my eyes and didn't feel the connection," I gesture to my eyes.

"You'll forget to wear those contacts soon enough," is all Daniel says as Bain comes back to us.

"So why don't you two love birds tell me how you met," Bain says to Daniel and me. I smile, looking at Daniel. I grab on to Daniel's arm and look up at him. "Yeah, Baby, tell them how we met."

Daniel glares at me. He looks back at Bain and through gritted teeth, "We met at the library."

I giggle, "Oh, it was love, at first sight, wasn't it Danny-Fanny." I hear Fraiser choke on a laugh, and Bain smiles at us.

"Daniel, I never thought I'd see the day you'd have a woman on your arms. Fraiser and I started to think you were, well-" Bain rubs the back of his neck as Fraiser blurts out "Gay."

Daniel narrows his eyes, "You mean to tell me you thought I was gay because I'm still a virgin?"

Fraiser and Bain nod. "I mean even Fraiser has gotten laid, Daniel," Bain says.

Daniel narrows his eyes more. "Right well, tell me how your mate feels knowing you didn't save yourself for her."

I feel a pain in my heart as I look at Bain, who says nothing back.

"Daniel, we were just messing around," Fraiser says.

Daniel turns his glare on him. "Yeah, and I bet your mate won't think it's funny when they find out you've let other people please you."

Daniel takes my hand, "Come on," I follow behind as he leads me to the dance floor. We start to waltz as Daniel breaths in and out deeply and slowly trying to calm himself down.

"You okay?" I ask softly. He looks at me and nods, smiling at me.

"Yeah I'm fine, I just can't deal with wolves that sleep around knowing they have a mate waiting for them." I nod and smile at him.

"Your actual mate is a fortunate girl, you know."

He flashes a smile, "Oh, I know. I want to be perfect for my mate; I'll treat her like a queen. I can't wait to find her."

We dance as Daniel talks about all the things he would do for his mate, all the places they would go, and the kids they would have.

"You look, Tired, Navi," Daniel observes on the car ride to my house.

"I am you had me dancing the whole night! It's 3 in the morning." I exclaim. We pull to my house, and I see all the lights on.

My stomach ties itself up in knots, knowing I'm in trouble.

"You okay?" I look at Daniel, who looks at me worried, I put my best smile and nod.

"Yeah, I'll see you later." I get out of the car and pick the bottom of my dress up and walk to the front door. Taking a deep breath in and slowly letting it out, I then open the door and walk-in.

"Desdemona Navi Bennett, where have you been!" My dad yells as I brace myself.
