I feel soft hands touch my arm. I turn my head and look at Annie who has tears rolling down her cheeks, "I should have stopped him this time- I-I am so sorry Navi, I'm so sorry, it's never gotten this bad before, I don't understand why he was so angry. I-" she stops talking as she sighs "Let me help you clean up." I don't say a word, as she helps me to my feet, I hiss in pain.

Annie helps me up the stairs to my room, helping me lay on my stomach she mutters something under her breath before she quickly darts out of the room.

A few minutes go by and I suddenly feel something wet and cold on my back, I hiss and I hear Annie mumble a quick sorry. She dabs my wounded back, then I feel her put cream on it, "Just to make sure it doesn't get infected."

"Annie," I say softly after a few moments of silence. Suddenly feeling drained and needing to get it off my chest.

"Yes?" She replies while rubbing the cream on my back.

"I-I uh, I found my mate."

Without stopping she replies "I know."

I look over my shoulder at her "What?"

She sends me a smile "Navi, you are the only girl I know with white blonde hair and crystal blue eyes," she pauses.

"And I saw the mask the night before the dance."

"Why didn't you tell on me?" I whisper tears in my eyes at the kindness of my sister.

With out missing a beat Annie says "Because you are my sister Navi. I don't like how they treat you, I would rather you queen than Iris ." I smile.

"I don't know what to do Annie." I sigh as I rest my head as she continues to put cream on my bleeding back.

Annie doesn't answer for a few minutes.

"I don't believe that."

I don't say anything and I soon feel Annie get off my bed. "Goodnight Navi."

I quietly call back "Goodnight."

I close my eyes and let the steady throb of my back lure me to sleep.

I wake up to my alarm going off while feeling like I got ran over by a truck.

I walk to my dresser and take a matching set of bra and panties. I grab a baggy black t-shirt and some blue faded jeans. I walk to the bathroom and run the shower. I slowly strip wincing as I lift my shirt over my head I freeze as I catch a glimpse of my face in the mirror.

My left cheek has a scratch on it running from my hair line and stopping before the corner of my mouth, stupid overly jeweled ring.

The right side of my lip is busted and swollen, I wince and turn as I look at all the broken skin on my back. I shake my head and climb in the shower and gasp as the water hits my back making tears fall from my eyes. I quickly bath and wash my hair and jump out. I slowly put my clothes on and brush my hair.

I hear a knock on my door. "Navi hurry mom is trying to make me leave you." I quickly brush my teeth and arrange my wet hair to cover as much of my face as possible I then put the brown contacts on, grab my bag and open my bedroom door to see Annie, "Come on." She rushes out as she grabs my wrist and pulls me along. We rush down stairs and quickly out the front door as Annie calls out a quick bye.

Annie starts the car and quickly backs out. I give her a confused look. She cast a glance at me and answers "Dad is in a bad mood, we don't need a repeat of last night." She pauses " Or well this morning?"

I cast her a smile "Thank you Annie." We ride in silence and arrive at school. I internally groan as we get out of Annie's car.

I walk into the school and go straight for my locker keeping my head down, luckily no one bothers me. I grab my books and turn running into a hard chest. Looking slightly up as I take a step back I see Daniel. "Hey Navi." I look around and spot Iris watching me closely a smirk playing at her lips. I look back at Daniel "Leave me alone."

I say his face quickly goes from happy to confused "What-"

I cut him off "Stay away from me." I ground out and His eyes narrow as he looks at the scratch on my cheek and busted lip.

"Who-" I quickly turn and dash to my class.

Sitting in my seat I take a deep breath and blow it out slowly. I cautiously lean back in my seat wincing at the pressure on my back. The teacher comes in and the class begins.

The whole school day I spent avoiding Daniel, I don't understand why he is in my school he is like two years older than me.

I am now in my last class and again looking out side watching the class my mate teaches. Luckily my old teacher believed me when I told them I switched back to this class. He suddenly looks at me and I freeze. His face turns into confusion. He then starts quickly walking to the door of the school. My breath catches in my throats as I realize he is coming to get me. I look at the clock, come on come on come on.

The bell thankfully rings and I take off out of my seat. I rush down the hall looking behind me and see Bain a little ways behind me fighting through the crowd of kids.

I see Annie and quickly grab her wrist. "We have to go. like now," with out a word we run to her car and jump in. "Hurry up" Annie quickly speeds off as Bain makes it out of the school.

"What was that about?" Annie asks.

I sigh "My mate, saw my bruised up face."

Annie nods "Yeah that wouldn't be good for him to see." I nod in agreement.

"How did dad find out about the beta and Alpha?" I ask after a few minutes of Silence go by.

"One of dad's co-workers heard his daughter gossiping about you, she saw you last night, called him immediately. " I nod to her answer and stay quiet the rest of the way.

We pull up and I sigh in relief noticing dad's truck is gone.

"Don't get to happy, he won't be gone long, the royal family is coming to eat tonight, mom was to eager to wait till tomorrow.." Annie says.

I curse "Shit."

We pull in the drive way and I step out of the car. "Guess I better go get dressed." Annie nods in agreement as we walk to the front door of the house. I climb up the stairs to my room and look through my closet.

I find a cute casual navy blue dress with white Polk a dots . I grab it and put it on. I look in the mirror in my bathroom and run my fingers through my wavy blonde hair. I add mascara and red lipstick. Though it doesn't do much for my busted lip.

I nod my head approving of my outfit. I put white sandals on and head down the stairs my parents look at me and nod in approval.

"Navi all the dishes are set up in the kitchen all you have to do is deliver them, and you must stay in the kitchen and eat. I have a bell I'll ring when you are needed Kay?" My mother explains to which I just nod. My mom looks at her watch "Oh it's 4:30 they will be here any minute."

My mother looks back at me "we are gonna chat for about an hour and then we will dine okay?" I nod again and walk to the door as I hear a car pull up. "Don't forget to curtsy and take their jackets." I roll my eyes but nod nonetheless.

My mother always over did everything.

Before they can knock on the door I open it and immediately curtsy. "Hello dear how are you!" I hear Queen Athena ask me. I open my mouth to answer but my mother quickly jumps infront of me.

"Oh welcome to our home King Theodore, Queen Athena. Oh and hello Beta Daniel and King Bain, come in come in, I am Velna." My eyes widen realizing Daniel and Bain are here to. I quickly put my head down avoiding their questioning stares.

My mother backs up to my father "This is my husband Brett and we are so glad you would come and hear our proposal." I raise a brow and look at my sister. She shrugs her shoulders.

"Lets sit," my mother commands as she sits down, Everyone sits except my self. I feel eyes on me and look at Daniel and Bain who are eyeing me. I sigh as I walk to the kitchen as my father and mother start small talk with them. I sit in the kitchen for the rest of the hour.

A bell rings and I rush into the dining room seeing everyone seated, I grab drinks and set them in front of everyone quickly. The royal family looks at me confused, anger is also evident as they look at my scratched cheek and busted lip. I quickly return to the kitchen and start bringing the plates out three at a time. I quickly serve them and dart back to the kitchen.

"May I ask who that lovely girl serving us is?"

The former queen asks pretending to not know me, Iris giggles "Trust me the girl is anything but lovely."
I peek through the slit in the door.

The Queen looks unamused and Iris stops immediately. "She is my younger sister, Navi, she is the infamous Glitch." My sister rambles nervously. I sigh as I lean against the counter listening to my own family spit on my name. I then turn and go back to peeking.

"So you just have her serve you ?" Daniel asks almost in a growl.

My mother shakes her head "No, she normally stays in her room, the little rebel is normally grounded."

"And beaten," the Queen adds suggestively. My mothers mouth gaps like a fish but my father takes over.

"I disciplined her, once I heard word of her troubling your Beta and the king I made sure it would never be a problem."

I hear a bell and rush into a room of eyes trained on me. I look to my mother, "refills," I nod and quickly dash to the kitchen and come back with a pitcher.

"Let's not focus on my youngest I brought you here about my oldest." I slowly pour the queens glass as my mother talks. I set it down and move on to the king, he gives me a small smile. His eyes scan over my face and a frown appears as he sees my busted lip and scratch.

I smile as if saying I'm fine as my mother starts back talking. "My husband and I thought it would be a good idea for an arranged marriage, between Iris and Bain, it's obvious Bain's mate isn't interested and you haven't found her."

My mother ends with a perfect confident smile. Iris who is already seated close to Bain scoots her seat closer to him making me glare at her. The king notices this and smiles as his eyes widen.

"That is an idea." King Theodore says much to his wife, Daniel and Bain's dismay.

My eyes widen as I set down his drink slowly. Without thinking I suddenly open my mouth "Why?"

My mothers eyes widen "Navi in the kitchen please." I look at her and sigh and head back to the kitchen she follows me and as soon as I turn around she gives me a look as if saying I'm crazy. "Don't question the king don't ruin this for us."

I don't say anything as I look down. "Your cheek and lip should be cleared up tomorrow the swelling has gone down." I look up at my mother our eyes meet.

"Take those contacts out. Your hiding the only beautiful things you have." I shake my head "I-"

"Don't disobey me Navi." She cuts me off then turns and walks back to the kitchen while muttering a hurry to me. I sigh, can't disobey my mother. I take the contacts out and throw them away. If I'm caught then I'm caught, if he rejects me Daniel will help me and I'll be okay.

I grab the pitcher and walk out. My eyes connect with Daniel and he smiles seeing my icy blue eyes.

I look at the king and Queen who are eyeing me with smiles on their faces. Out of the corner of my eye I see Bain being tortured as Irs talks his head off about God knows what. I start to fill glasses again starting with my mother.

"Now what if Iris finds her mate," The former King Theodore asks my mother. My mother shrugs.

"Easy, reject him." The king nods slowly to this.

"So I see what you are gaining in this," King Theodore starts "but what would my son and the kingdom gain?" He asks.

My mother smiles as if she knew this answer easily.

"My daughter is very smart, strong and beautiful as you see, trained by the best to master her powers, so you know for sure you aren't getting someone like my other daughters, you are getting the best." Iris sits up straighter smiling proudly. Bain rolls his eyes. After filling my fathers glass I move to Annie.

"Yes it seems you have it all figured out," the Queen notes.

"To bad I'm not interested," Bain finally speaks. Iris gives him a pity smile.

"It's your mate, you found her so you aren't thinking clearly." Bain gives her a harsh glare to which she just smiles.

I move onto Iris and fill her glass, she glares at me, I return the glare and her eyes widen.

It's my father I'm scared of, not her.

I grin wickedly as suddenly I start to freeze the glass until it's to cold touch. I set it down and feign to be apologetic. "I'm sorry sister, I glitched." I shrug my shoulders as I start to walk around her.

Though she sticks her foot out causing me to trip and I brace myself on Bain's Shoulder I quickly bounce back feeling the shocks. Bain freezes what he is doing. The king and Queen smile at us.

Bain looks at Daniel and whispers "Please tell me that wasn't Iris that touched me." My sister suddenly pushes me back. "Of course it was me." Iris says quickly.

Queen Athena quickly rolls her eyes "Oh for heaven sakes no it wasn't you thirsty girl back off my son. It was your sister." The Queen looks at me and smiles.

I freeze as all eyes are on me.
