As for the beginning of the history of the East side of the Land, many can be recounted. Records are found also in the Elyu' vistre about the first interaction of the Atlanticans from the west with the realm of Draigar from the East. Though not all events need to be said here as the further past is becoming more difficult to believe to have happened, only selected few ancient texts were credited and recounted here. Some works from the East were themselves brought to Atlantica and were recorded as part of the ancient history of the East. However, some accounts told here were from the records from the Draconians that were found many years after the Elyin i Naersted by exploring Gleipnors. Not all are retold as the peoples of the East only play a major role only at the very distant past, not the present.

The Draconians since the beginning were a group of different tribes living in the East. A Great Sea separates their land from that of Atlantica. These tribes were only united when the dragons invaded and burned many of their villages and crops. Thus the war between the two races began, and though this war is very long, this has become a very obsolete addition to the main history. Peace occurred when, under the leadership of the chieftain, Draigar, went to the fiery realm of the dragons and offered friendship and equality for the two races. The people made Draigar their king, and together with the dragons living with them, named their great realm Draconia. According to Atlantican scribes, this happened a thousand years after Angelus established Atlantica.

Draigar is a childhood friend of Zagnius, and after he was made king, he chose Zagnius as one of his counsellors. Zagnius then learned sorcery and wizardry, that, with this powers, Draigar was able to expand his realm further to the West, to the Great Sea. They then started to explore the other side. Riding on winged dragons, they reached Atlantica, and even helped them in their war against the invading barbarians from the South. Angelus, in return for their unlooked-for aid, gave Draigar half of the Nautilus. Draigar since then became immortal. When they returned to Draconia, Zagnius began to fancy the Nautilus and dreamt of ruling over Draconia or, with his powers of sorcery, rule all the Lands.

He then stole the Nautilus and fled to the very distant east where he made a citadel for himself. He then began to make use of his dark powers and raised an army of undead which he called Mentonyrs. These are skeletons clad in full armor and weapons and could not be killed by fire, for Zagnius knew that the Draconians would make use of fire against him. And so it came to pass when he attacked Draigar and his kingdom. The Draconians were being defeated at first strike. However, Draigar was able to gather an army and repulsed Zagnius; even defeated and captured him. Of how he was able to capture Zagnius, no record can be found. Zagnius was then imprisoned, bound in chains that not even dragon-breath, the most powerful form of fire of the Ancient World, could consume. Thus, for one thousand years, he was imprisoned alive. But the Nautilus was not found.

It was then that Fate played on the East. A man named Demophoon happened to pass by the chambers where Zagnius was imprisoned. This part of  the story was revealed to the Atlanticans many years later by the Well of Knowledge, when Aquilo also asked how Zagnius was able to escape. Demophoon was promised with immortality and power which corrupted his mind. He released Zagnius, and together, they returned to his citadel which he then named Tarturia. Zagnius then rewarded Demophoon immortality by letting him touch the Nautilus, and once again raised an even greater army of Mentonyrs.

Demophoon was then given command over the Armies of Tarturia, and he then mounted the largest invasion that yet happened, and finally, Draigar was defeated. The whole race of Draconia was exterminated, including the dragons that were killed in the war. But when Zagnius ordered to look for the body of Draigar, he was not found. No records were found concerning what happened to Draigar since then. Zagnius just continued conquering the remaining Lands of the East. Thus, he began to aim of conquering Atlantica. He mustered all his forces and crossed the Great Sea.

Angelus long before,  knew that Draigar was defeated and Zagnius has risen to power. He knew that the only way to stop Zagnius is mustering all forces he could gather and resist the Tarturians. He called forth aid from the Fantasians and the Mortal Men. They made positions on the Land named Mag Tuired. There they clashed with the vast armies of Zagnius and the Elyin i Naersted started which shaped the destiny of everybody for the Ages to come. And in that war, many could be told, and its accounts will be told in the story.
