Chapter 4: Evil Revealed (Edited)

Victoria's Point of View

When I opened my eyes, I found myself standing under a tree on my favorite hill that overlooked my best friend's home, the beautiful coastal kingdom of Iskla.

As I walked to my friend Janice's house in the city, I passed by crowds of people of many trades and background. After finally making my way through the crowd, I arrived at the quiet little street that Janice lived on. I walked up to the small cottage she lived in, but before I could knock, the door swung open and Janice jumped out.

"I didn't know you were coming." She said then she looked at what I was wearing. I also just realized that I was still wearing most of my battle armor, in place of the dress I should be wearing when I'm not training.

"And it seems you didn't either." Janice noted already knowing my parents rules. "I've got an idea, we can go to the new boutique in town square. I have been dying to go check it out."

I nodded in agreement, thankful for my sister-like friend.

"Well let's go, unless the universe has finally decided that I should go on a quest." I looked up at the sky, looking for some sort of sign and still nothing. "Okay, onward to the boutique, before someone sees me and decides to tell my parents."

"Don't be so paranoid. Let me go get my purse and then we can leave." Janice said retreating back into her home. Finally she came out of her home, purse in hand. "Let's go have some fun."

We walked for a mile or so, until we arrived in town square, but by then it was super packed. When we finally managed to make it to the door, we were exhausted. We entered the doorway and found a very busy seamstress running around the shop.

"Um, Miss do you have any dresses?" Janice asked trying not to get run over by the flitting boutique owner.

"Do I have dresses? Of course darling, that's all I make. How many do you need? Five? Ten? Fifty?" She asked while still running around non-stop.

"Only one." Janice replied looking dizzy just trying to look at the seamstress in her mad dash.

"I hardly call that a challenge, dear." The ever busy seamstress replied.

I was looking at some of the seamstress's creations and I was blown away by the amazing quality of the designs. I turned around to ask about the prices on a simple gown and suddenly I was face-to-face with a fifteen-year-old girl.

"Where's the seamstress?" I asked unsure of her current whereabouts .

"I am she." She answered crossing her arms. "Were you expecting someone else older and taller?"

"Yes, but it's very obvious that you can handle it. I need a dress today. Do you have any already made?" I inquired.

"Aren't you Victoria Arrow?" She asked looking me over.

"Yes I am." I answered reluctantly. I wasn't one for attracting attention, because of my social status. I prefer being known as smart or a pretty good Gladiator.

"Well, since you're a princess, you need a custom made gown. Now with your dark curly hair and dark brown eyes I suggest some maroons and dark reds. Let's get you fitted."

Several minutes later I was standing in a new maroon gown, getting ready to pay. "How much do I owe you?" I said looking through my money pouch.

"One gold crown and two silver coins." She replied getting back to her other dresses.

I payed and left asking Janice what to do now, when suddenly Morgan appeared out of thin air. Janice was so startled that she jumped nearly three feet in the air.

"What's up Morgan?" I asked nonchalantly. By now I was used to his random and sudden appearances.

"I volunteered to go check out some strange activity in Tiance and I figured you might want to come since you seemed so anxious for a new quest and all. It'll probably be dangerous, so do you want to come?" He asked.

"I'll come." I turned to Janice. "You okay with me leaving so suddenly?"

"You go have your little adventure. I'll be here when you get back." She insisted shooing me away.

"Alright just give me a second to change into my armor and out of this dress." I sighed slightly annoyed because I had just taken off my heavy armor.

We went by Janice's house, so I could change again. After about ten minutes of struggling to put on my armor on top of my casual clothes, Morgan and I departed.

"Did you tell the others already?" I asked wanting make sure that the others knew in case of an emergency. Last time someone went on a quest without telling the others, it did not end well for Heath.

"Yeah, they already know. You have your transportation potion on hand?" He asked while rummaging through his own satchel, most likely to look for his transportation potion.

"Yup, to Tiance?"

"To Tiance." He said as he drank his potion in one gulp and disappeared in a shower of gold.

I did the same. After a second that felt like it lasted an eternity, I felt my feet land on soft dirt, then the moment I appeared I was pulled to the ground, as Morgan whispered for me to stay low.

I looked in the direction he was looking towards. As I turned my head, I immediately noticed we had landed on the edge of some sort of camp grounds.

I looked around and saw familiar faces, faces I had only and should only be seen in textbooks. I immediately recognized the most infamous of them. Every single person in that camp was a long dead malevolent elemental that had fought in the First Great war.

I knew immediately that they had been summoned back from the void that they had gone to the moment they died. The only question know was 'Who?'.

"Who could've awoken them?" I whispered wondering what madness had driven someone to do something like this.

"No idea, but I feel like we should get out of here now." He whispered back frantically.

"Too late." Whispered a third deep voice.

We turned around and came face-to-face with a tough-looking malevolent elemental.

"Victoria, run." Morgan told me as he tackled the elemental, taking him by surprise. I scrambled up to run, but by the time I got up the elemental grabbed my leg tripping me, as Morgan got out his daggers to fight this guy .

Suddenly there was a flash of grey tinged light and I turned to see what had happened. I was shocked by what I saw which included many, many malevolent elementals and one frozen statue in the spot where Morgan had last been.

I attempted to keep fighting, but when you're as small as me, it's hard to fight against super big guys in a small space.

Within a minute, I was disarmed and being bound with magical chains that were used to restrain me and keep me from attacking them. I grew dizzy with how fast this had all gone wrong.

Eventually they brought me to their leader's tent. The moment I entered I instantly turned a shade whiter, for inside the tent was the most dangerous elemental to walk the earth, Bale Bauron.

The moment he saw me, he smiled a cruel smile

"Finally I get to meet the great grandchild of Devin Arrow, my killer. Part of me wants to just kill you right now." He growled threateningly.

I took a step back from the crazy guy, wanting to put some more distance between us.

"But I've waited for quite a long time, I guess I can wait a bit longer." Bale reasoned regaining his composure.

"What do you mean?" I asked letting curiosity replace fear.

"That's on a need-to-know bases. Sure in your opinion, you feel you might need to know, but where's the fun in letting you know." Bale said with a malicious smile.

"I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to learn more about each other, but I'm on a tight schedule that you so happened to have disrupted." Bale apologized insincerly. He suddenly called out for his guards to lock me up.

Once I realized that instead of putting me where they had Morgan locked up, they meant the tomb where all of them were once buried, I screamed and kicked and struggled the entire way. I knocked out someone's front teeth and gave quite a few of them some ugly bruises.

They threw me in the tomb roughly and looked happy to get rid of me. As they sealed the tomb, the chains around my arms melted away to nothing.

I was sealed in, but at least I had hope that something might work out in my favor.

Then I heard muffled screaming and pounding coming from inside a coffin in the very back of the immense tomb.
