Ch 9: Stay Alive
But that was it. Such an expected outcome had come well.
The match was over in seconds.
The blaring horn rang in all of our ears.
"Line up!" Ukai called out.
We all lined up and high fived under the net repeating the words none of us meant, "Good game."
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry" I whispered.
"We all made mistakes today Hinata. Little mistakes add up and so do the big ones. We just happened to not be on the winning side today."
-third person-
"No, no you don't understand." He spits out.
"What do you mean?" They all looked confused.
"None of you get it, you just can't get it! I made it! I actually made it!" Tears filled his eyes. "I'm just so glad I made it!" The small boy falls to his knees as cries fill his throat.
Not tears of sadness but of relief and joy, even though they had lost... and he was dying. Even though the pain in his body was so horrid and undescribable painful. Even though he knew he wasn't making it home tonight. Even though the voice was dragging him down. Even though he knew..
His cries grew louder as this all caught up with him, they became gags and silent screams of pain and anguish. Coughs of blood were added to this.
"Whats wrong! WHATS WRONG!" Kageyama bent down next to him and laid a hand on his back.
"It hurts-It hurts so badly.." He whispered.
Kageyama picked up his hand finding it warm and wet... Blood. "UKAI!" He raised his bloody hand. Kageyama had a lack of words, choking on the fact of this. All that ran through his head was how had he not noticed this, how could he not of seen how badly he was suffering even after all that he told him?
When everything started to go dark for Hinata, panic had risen so soundly. The sound of him hitting the floor. His small, frail form practically dead against the floor.
"Help.."
