Chapter 2
Elsa wandered around, trying not to think about what her mother said when she suddenly stumbled into a wall. Not a wall, but a boy. A boy with silver hair? she thought as she looked into the boy's icy eyes.
"I'm so sorry, are you okay?" he asked, concern shining in his eyes.
"I-I'm okay," Elsa whispered, letting the boy help her up.
She started to walk the other way when the boy stopped her.
"Here, I want to show you something," he said, smiling.
Elsa didn't know if she should trust this stranger, but something just told her to do it. And she didn't have anything else to do.
"Okay . . . "
The boy's smile grew bigger as he started to run. Elsa ran after him, soon catching up to him.
"Why are you running?" she manages to get out as they slow down.
"It gets me to places quicker," he replied, the grin still on his face.
They finally came to a lake surrounded by a few trees that seemed to have a frost affect on them, even in the summer. Elsa reached up and touched the patterns, mesmerized at the unique swirls.
"Do you like winter?" the boy asked suddenly.
"Yes, I do. I actually have a bit of a connection with it," she said vaguely.
"I do too," he said mysteriously, suddenly very serious.
Elsa glanced at him quickly. Was there a possibility that he was a wizard like her? she wondered, gazing at him.
"Are you . . . "
"Are you?"
Elsa was afraid to answer that question. Hesitantly, she stomped, spreading ice on the ground and making the water on the lake freeze. The boy stared at the now frozen lake and slowly moved his stare to Elsa, who was shaking. He'll think I'm a monster, Elsa thought, as she waited for him to say something.
A grin slowly started to form on his face as he reached for a stick on the ground. He took it, and tapped a nearby tree that didn't have frost on it. Elsa gasped as swirls of frost spiraled from where he touched the tree.
She smiled. This is where I can finally let it go, she thought as she stepped forward. She opened her hands and bursts of snowflakes leaped out.
The boy walked over to her, the smile still on his face.
"I'm Jack. Jack Frost."
"Elsa. Elsa Arendelle."
