I brush my brown bangs out of my pale purple eyes and look around the alley I'm in. I look down and move the manhole cover. I take a deep breathe in and jump into the sewers of New York City. I land in a perfect ninja crouch with a soft splash. I smile at all the times I imagined coming back here from Japan and training with the Ancient One. Back to my home, to my brothers, to my father, to my family.

I walk to the lair and look around. The place is empty. I start looking around from my brothers and father. I find nothing in their rooms or in the lab. I move to the dojo.

Inside, I find a mess of pictures, wood, and broken glass. I crouch down and pick one up. I brush away the dirt. I gasp. Its a photo of us. My whole family when me and my brothers were 7.

We sparing. Me against Leo, Raph against Sensai, and Donnie against Mikey. I have my tongue stinking out while I'm lunging at Leo. He looks scared, given the fact my right foot is a few inches away from his face. My purple lock of hair is at odds with the rest of my brown hair, but I still look like I'm part of the family, thanks to the royal purple mask covering my eyes.

I smile sadly and place the picture in my bag. I gather up the rest and go looking for clues where my family might be. I move to the kitchen and find a note on the counter.

It reads:

Dear April and Casey,

We're sorry of disappearing for the last few months, but we lost our Father. We needed to grieve for him. We can't keep fighting bad guys when they can take the things we care about away from us.

That's why we're going to 'disappear' again.

We've been talking. Master Splinter was right, we weren't ready the first time we went to the surface, and its taken us losing him to see that.

And Hope, if you end up reading this note: Find us at the sky's limit. You'll know what that means.

I drop the note. Father gone. It can't be true. It just can't. I run around the Lair looking for my family, but I find nothing.

I go to my room an start looking for something I hoped I'd never see again or use for the matter. I find it under my bed and I pull it out. I bring it out into what was the family room, and find two humans there.

I drop the box and pull out my wakizashi from its sheath on my back. I launch myself at the pair.

"Casey, look out," the girl says, pulling out a tessen and opens it. I slash at that one first, but she catches my blade in the spokes of her fan and twists. My wakizashi is pulled from my hands and thrown to one side. No problem, I really didn't like using that thing for fighting much.

"If you think you can just bust into our friends home and steal, you're wrong," The guy shouts from behind a corner.

"How dare you assume that I would do such a thing. This is my home, and you are the thieves here, not me," I shout and pull out my own tessens. I open them and crouch down ready to spring at the red head, who I'm fighting.

My tessens are jet black, but they have the Hamato clan symbol in pale purple. I look at the redhead's tessen and see it. The Hamato clan symbol in the center of the fan's surface. It is cut out, and I gasp as I realize I know that fan very well.

"Where did you get my mother's fan?!" I shout as I charge at her, slashing at her with the sharp edge of my tessens.

"Wait, your mother's. Who the shell are you?" she asks as I try to hit her with my tessens. She deflects them with a small flick of her wrist. She's very good, for a thief.

"I am Hamato Hope, daughter of Hamato Yoshi, sister to Hamato Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo. A kunoichi of the Hamato clan," I say, through my teeth.

"You're Hope. We know your brothers and Sensai," Casey says and pulls me away from the red head. I get the feeling they're April and Casey that my brother wrote that note to.

"April, are you okay? I promised Donnie I wouldn't let a thing happen to you or the baby," He asks, ignoring me. I sheath my weapons and pick up my box.

"I'm fine," she says. I roll my eyes and open the box. Inside is a black gi with a purple mask. Under that is an album. I pull that out and set it aside. In the bottom of the bow is what I'm looking for. The two scrolls, one of Airjitzu and the other of Spinjitzu. I open them and another note falls out.

It reads:

Dear Hope,

I hope you understand why we went to Ninjago. Sensai Wu and the ninja will tell you where we are when you get there. I hope you'll bring some hope along with you, because we need it, big time.

Date: 12/27/18

I look at the date. Today, five months ago my brothers went to my old home. The same day, 16 years ago, that my mother came here and married Master Splinter when me and my brothers were 4 years old.

"That was five months ago. We haven't heard a word from the since then," April says.

"Well, I guess if my brothers trust you, I can too," I say, standing and sticking out my right hand.

We shake hands and I look April and Casey up and down. April is in blue jeans and a yellow shirt that's is loose enough that no one can tell she's pregnant. Casey has two missing teeth, and looks like he knows my brothers.

"I'm Hope, but I guess you already know that," I say, with a smile.

"I know that look. Its the same one Leo gets when he has a crazy plan," April says.

"You want to help me get my brothers back?" I ask, smiling.
