In high school, I liked to write stories but I always ended up throwing them in the trash bin.
One day, the captain of the football team came up to me and said,"You're the best writer."
Turns out, he'd secretly dig through the trash bin just to read my writings.
Today, he just proposed to me. GMH
A/N ok, a similar situation happened to me.
We were in English class and our bell ringer topic was to write a poem about either love, beauty, or change. My friend-who-is-a-guy was sitting across from me. I handed him my poem, thinking it was horrible. He was astonished that I could write so well. I asked him if I should present it and he replied with an eager yes. So, I went up to my English teacher and had her read it. I asked if she thought it was a good idea to present it. She said that I could. However, I told her that I was too scared to present it. She asked if anyone would kindly volunteer to read it. Here is the poem:
Love
"Love is the center of everything."
This is false.
Love is worthless.
"There is no point in love."
No one has ever said
Love is important.
Smart people say
Love is a lie.
The opposing say
Love is worth it.
They are wrong.
The right answer is:
Love doesn't exist.
(Now read the poem from bottom to top)
The person who volunteered to read it was my guyfriend. We had crushes on each other.
