Finally, after two weeks of sitting around, we are finally allowed to take Liz home.

Dan opens the front door and you walk in behind him, clinging onto your new daughter tightly.
"How is she?" Dan leans over to you.
You look down at her. Her eyes are wide open and zooming all around, taking in the new surroundings.

"Lizzy, welcome to your new home!" You pull her out of the crib, sit down and put her on your lap.
She opens her eyes more than before and looks around, without moving her neck.

"I can tell she is gonna be a curious little girl when she's older" Dan laughs and tickles her chin. She stares at him blankly. This makes you laugh.

Once you've feed Liz, you have to change her nappy. Let's just say, you can't wait until she is toilet trained.
After that, you put her in a light purple all-in-one with with white dots all over.
Dan walks in behind you.
"Awww! She looks so cute!!" Dan picks her up and cuddles her close to his shoulder. She makes a high pitched sighing noise, and this makes you squeal.

"What time is it?" Dan asks, rocking Elizabeth back and forth.
You pick up your phone. "6:45"
"We should put her go bed." Dan slowly puts her into the cream cot you bought 2 months ago.
"Good night baby girl!" He kisses the top of her head and then moves away so you can see her.
Already, her big eyes are starting to droop shut.
"Good night little Lizzy. I love you!" You lean over and kiss her on the tip of her nose.

"Danny, what do you want to do now?" together you walk down the stairs and into the living room.

"Tv?" He lays down on the sofa and you climb on top of him.
"Fu*k yeah!"
"Hey! You have to stop swearing! You have a child!" Dan scolds you. Rolling your eyes, you reply "Well you don't have the cleanest mouth either!" you pinch his cheek, earning a laugh from him.

Whilst watching Sherlock, you begin to doze off.

A loud and long ring echoes through the house. Once it's over, a scream comes from the other room. "Dam it!" You sit up. "Can you get the door?"
He nods.

Quickly, you leave the room and run to your child.

"No no it's ok! Mummy's here! Mummy's here!" Carefully, you pick her up and bounce her gently back and forth.

A loud slam comes from the front side of the room. "What the hell?" You run to the sound.

Dan is standing, back to the door, pale in the face. "Babe? What's wrong?"
He points to outside.
"Move. I need to see" obediently, he moved and you started to walk towards the door, Dan holding Elizabeth. "Can you go put her to bed?" He nods and leaves.

You put your hand on the door handle, shanking slightly.

You open the door.

"Hello Hun! How are you?"
Your parents stand outside.
