(A/N: I just realized how difficult it is to differentiate between the two jisungs while writing *cries* So I'm just going to refer to jisung from Stray kidz as Han.)

But before Yui could think of something else, so that Seungmin wouldn't get to know she heard whatever Minho had to say, Seungmin turned to look at Minho and Changbin and asked, "What did you tell them hyung?"

Minho snapped his head towards Seungmin after hearing what he had said and stared at him in shock. He slowly turned his head towards Ahn and Yui, studying them carefully. Then, as if on que, Lucas and Jisung(the one from NCT), came up to the table with questioning looks. 

"What happened here?" Lucas asked, raising one eyebrow. Jisung faced Seungmin, looking at him, asking for an explanation with his eyes. They kept staring at each other, not blinking. 

Yui took this time to turn and look at Ahn, studying the expression the latter bore. Ahn was scared, she knew that whatever would happen next would just land them in trouble. She was scared, but she couldn't let anyone see that. She had to appear strong, not for herself, but for Yui. She knew Yui well enough to know that Yui would be freaking out right now. 

Yui, on the other hand, was trying her best to compose herself. She knew they were in a lot of trouble already, and her anxiety kept rising as Jisung and Seungmin kept staring at each other. She knew that the two were engaging in a telepathic conversation, and that by now, Jisung knew everything that had happened - how she realized Seungmin was advertising BlackPink, and how she and Ahn heard Minho say something he was not supposed to. And it definitely didn't help her when Jisung and Seungmin broke off what seemed to be an intense staring contest, as it resulted in Jisung looking away, and giving Ahn and Yui the most sympathetic look possible.  

Yui gulped and focused on her food, not wanting to talk for the remainder of the lunch break. Yet she could still feel Lucas' gaze towards her when Jisung told him what the latter had understood, the former's eyes widening in surprise as he processed the newfound information. 

Yui tried to ignore the million voices in her head, each of which were telling her exactly how much she had screwed up, but eventually gave in to what the voices were telling her. She left her tray on the table and ran out the cafeteria.

Ahn looked at her best friend as she ran out of the cafeteria in despair. She knew that Yui had three stages of panicking. Anxiety, followed by blaming herself for everything, ending with breaking down in the corner stall of the girls' bathroom.

Ahn lazily pushed away her tray of food and stood up. She threw a look to the four boys (Minho, Changbin, Han and Seungmin) at her table, a look to mislead them. A look that will make them think that she knows everything when she doesn't in reality. She stalked out of the cafeteria, looking confident.

"We won't land in trouble for overhearing Minho-shi, right?" Yui wailed to Ahn for what felt like the millionth time.

"How fuck can you still use honorifics while crying?" Ahn asked, trying to avoid the question, and partially annoyed with Yui's endless crying.

"That isn't an answer." Yui pointed out as she wiped her tears with the end of her shirt. 

"Look, no matter what happens, we'll have each other. And I'll be there to protect you through it all. So stop crying Yi-Yi." Ahn consoled, pulling Yui into a hug. 

"So there's a big possibility of us getting in trouble?" Yui asked, sounding like a six year old who just broke her mom's favorite vase.

"I'm afraid so" Ahn mumbled, not wanting to lie to her best friend.

i've finally given u a proper update! i dunno about u but i am proud of myself. Ninth is a pain in the ass. Aaaand, writing a chapter is sooooo difficult on my tablet! It takes extra long to write. I'm missing my laptop 😢. i'll be posting more updates this weekend, so stay alert people
