Mother Hen

Chester moved in his sleep so Todrick shifted for him to be more comfortable. Carlie smiled and sat next to them once the film was over, sea air mixing with the other two scents. Moving closer to Chester she tried examining the bruises on his neck and arms and noticed more spreading down his chest and stomach. She growled protectively and motioned to Todrick. He pressed a hand to Chester's back to push him forward gently as they checked his back. He flopped easily like a rag doll in his sleep, an alpha's scent stopping the attacks from his heat as his body waited for his non existent mate. Carlie froze in anger at the bruise on the nape of his neck, swollen slightly and unmistakeable as an attempted claiming bite. An unwanted one judging by the bruises on the rest of the omega's skin, which thankfully went no lower than his stomach.

"He'll talk when he's ready" Todrick unclenched her fists for her reluctantly

"Would y'all ever be ready if that'd happened?" Carlie lapsed into silence and looked at the young omega beside her, stroking his hair back absentmindedly while listening to his breathing as it hitched from time to time in his sleep, quiet sighs confirming her heat dream theory so she turned to Todrick.

"Leave. It's not right for an alpha to be there right now who isn't his mate" She breathed out "I'll take care of him."

"Y'all update me?"

"Yes, now go" Todrick hesitated

"Call if y'all..."

"Go! how embarrassed would you be if he saw you having a heat dream and didn't leave?" She watched him force himself to leave the now peaceful omega, turning back to him as Chester fell slightly against her. She smiled and listened to him breathe. Chester was gorgeous, she'd seen that when he was awake, but he was also endearingly sweet. The way his hair was so obviously meant to fit the cool image when it didn't need to. The deep brown of his eyes when they caught the light, shining when he smiled or laughed. The mock pout lips which somehow looked natural were parted slightly in breath as he slept. Todrick looked over from his bed and pulled out his notebook.

Sunset to sunrise

I ignore the candy blue skies

One thing escapes me

Until I realise

I never look around me at the sites or hear the sighs

Of the wind as it watches me

Watching your innocent cocoa eyes.

Your innocent cocoa eyes and how they widen when we talk

Together.

Looking at the candy blue skies when we start laughing as we walk

Together...

Carlie looked over at him and back to her charge. He was hers to protect now. No one would hurt him again.

"You poor chick"
