Everyone was ready. Today was the reaping. A day in which mothers cry. A day in which fathers mourn.

Today, a few families have been taken of their children From 12 districts.

6 girls, and 8 boys. Their families have been destroyed...
But, they will fight, they will win these games, and win all the goods promised to them if they succeed.

Actually, all of these children are in fact friends. They have teamed up together to find food across districts. And then all belong to the poorest of places too. So they will be trying even harder than the average.

A long train ride, a long train ride to their certain deaths, apart from one. One exception.

They practised, they worked, either with bows, strength, muscle, knives or swords. They all needed to try their best to win. even if it meant killing many of their friends in the process.

"billy, you want to use a bow?" asked josh, who was swinging a knife at a dummy in front of him. "yeah so what? you want to use a knife?" billy was mocking josh. "shut up. imma kill you first bish." josh sassed. "try me." was all billy said before shooting his arrow straight into the targets head.

the contestants were ready. their names were down, and they were waiting to get onto the field.

sophie and josh from district 1.

emma and finn from district 2.

eve and ewan from district 3.

grace and billy from district 4.

bradley and George from district 5.

koby and weronika from district 6.

holly and lewis from district 7.

and the other districts conceive of contestants that are not relevant at this point in time.

finally, after waiting for at least 15 minutes, the people were called to their posts. they all entered their rooms, some shaking, some excited for the people they can massacre. it was all down to fate now.

after being stripped of their rescources, (apart from clothes) they all entered their places, and were sent straight to the field.

they all looked around each other. contestants eyes focused on the cornucopia in the middle, despite all of that pain and suffering.

99% of these contestants are going to die. painfully and slowly, or painlessly and quick. either way, it's still death.

the timer started suddenly.

the contestants were ready, their feet on the floor ready to run as fast as they ever have in their lives.

it was done, they ran, they sprinted, and they fell.

finn was the first to kill. everyone always knew he wanted to murder someone just by his personality. finn had killed a young girl form district 9, leaving one tall black man to fight for their district.

a canon was heard, and a huge screen for all to see appeared, calling the young girl deceased by finn.

this is it.

sophie ran away, bumping into Holly. they didnt kill. they looked on, not wanting to hurt one another, then teaming up to find some water and food. that was the thing they needed, but neither of them had a weapon yet.

finn was busy taking all for himself, laughing as he killed lewis from district 7, leaving Holly on her own, now, 2 people are dead.

josh had ran into the trees around the open field, waiting to get a chance to run in and grab something for his own needs.

holly and sophie were hiding in a cramped cave, whilst emma and Bradley walk past, obvioulsy teaming with knives in their hands. thankfully, they pass, and holly and sophie sigh in relief of not dying yet.

finn has killed George for fun, without any reason. now, three contestants are deceased.

meanwhile, on the south side of the arena, billy and grace (teamed) are fleeing from a rapid spreading wild fire. (or as they thought).

eve and ewan were attempting to climb a tree, however ewan had fallen from a wasp sting, landing on eve and breaking her neck, ewan saved but eve dead.

koby had recieved a sword from an unknown sponser because of his looks.

ewan sadly cried over eve's dead body, as finn suddenly jumps out of the bushes stabing him in many areas whilst singing the russian anthem. and that's district 3 that has lost all hope. whilst district two had a killing machine on the loose.

weronika was hiding up a tree with a bow in her hands... ready to shoot whoever passes.

finn was nearby, so weronika spotted him. he was very easy to spot, running around like a mental sereal killer with blood covering his face and arms. (still singing the russian anthem)

weronika silently aimed for his head, pulling the bow further back for more strength and wind, before finally letting go, the arrow slicing through the air and going right into finn's head, dropping dead down a hillside.

everyone sighed in relief as the canon was heard and the screen showed from above, which shown finn as deceased.

Holly and sophie were still cramped inside of a cave together as billy passed them. but... they were found.

billy looked into the tight gap and saw two girls in the corner of the cave, shaking and crying together as they knew this was the end for them.

"sophie..? Holly..?" billy crouched into the cave. " im not killing you.. yet... remember in class when we said that if we were to go into the hunger games we would kill each other last?" billy smiled, walking over to them, holly rushing to the other side of sophie that billy wasn't on. "that means you too holly, you can calm down."

billy patted her shoulder, holly still frightened to death, same with sophie. they felt like they couldn't trust him.

"grace! come in, we're fine now." billy called out, Grace entering with a smile, a little blood on ther hands. "heyooo!" she waved and sat next to billy. sophie and holly were frightened to death, they couldn't move knowing they could die any second. whether it be by accident or not.

maybe they can escape by night fall... or maybe even kill them...

weronika has found a water source hidden from the open, hopefully no one can find her.

koby is attemtping to hunt down josh since he saw him a few moments ago. he knew he was around the cornucopia but he didn't know where... he had to be quiet. meanwhile, josh is hiden up a tree ready to jump on him from above as silently as he can. from what he knows, Koby isn't too far away... just a little to the north of him.

grace and billy fall asleep for the night, trusting sophie and Holly completely. holly decides to leave, as they couldn't bring themselves to kill such close friends, they hoped that maybe they would die by someone else, but they didn't want them to die at all...

koby was hiding, he knew josh was nearby... but where..?

josh was still hiding in the same tree, he was stood up now, his kinife in his hand. he knew he was close. he heard his footsteps... but now they have stopped suddenly. all that could be heard was the wind and the odd few crickets or the toot of an owl. if you made a move now, you would be dead withing seconds. it was almost like an assassination attempt.

bradley and emma had found a deer wandering around the woods, and successfully shot it to death in just two arrows, collecting them back after they had caught it. it was extremely rare to find such a big meal in times like these. that almost never happened.

sophie and holly have escaped billy and grace successfully and have decided to find some food or water, maybe even head to the cornucopia as soon as possible. but they would have to come up with a plan first. anyone could be waiting to shoot you.

Koby began to feel like he was being watched, so he attempted to flee as quickly as he could, but tripped and pierced his foot with a rock, not being able to move. josh heard this, and looked around only to find a struggling koby crying through pain. this was his chance to strike.

he jumped to the other nearby tree which was towering over koby, Josh ready tp pounce on him from above.Koby looked up just before Josh jumped down and pierced his heart through his back, putting him out of his missery.

a canon sounded, signalling another death. it was Koby.

weronika was camping nearby a river side, when a dreadfull sound rung through her ears. it was the scream of a woman from district 12, who had just been attacked by a pack of wolves, hunting for flesh. another canon sounded, it must be her.

-teams, survivors and death so far-

sophie and holly are both alive and a team. (district 1 and 7)

josh is alive and well. not teaming. (district 1)

emma and Bradley are both alive and a team. (district 2 and 5)

eve and ewan were a team, both deceased. (district 3)

Grace and Billy are a team and both alive. (district 4)

finn never teamed, deceased. (district 2)

george is deceased. (district 5)

koby is deceased. (district 6)

weronika has a threat of wolves. not teaming, still alive. (district 6)

lewis never teamed, deceased. (district 7)

out of 24 players, there are 8 deceased, however those deaths will become quicker as nights go on and food and water becomes more rare, and people become more greedy.

weronika is hidden up a tree as wolves attempt to climb up to her hungrily. she's trapped until they leave for another target.

meanwhile emma and Bradley have found josh, and they have decided to be neutral but not team, only if they exchange items. on the other hand, holly and sophie have spotted this group of three, all sat around a fire trading items. they are watching from the bushes to get a chance to strike.

bradley and emma leave happy with their items, as josh happily placed his new items into his backpack, however little did he know was that he was going to get shot with a bow by holly.

the canon called across the lands as josh dropped dead, all of his new items gone to waste as holly and sophie collect them, sophie upset because one of her closest frineds has just left her life forever.

weronika tells herself that she isn't going to win, and she might as well die anyways. she realises she has poisneous berries on her, she picked those before realising they were poisenous, but kept them on her anyways since she had the room in her bag.

weronika lifted up her hands to where she thought there was a camera watching her at that point. she put her two fingers up and waved goodbye as she ate the berries, passing away quickly and painlessly, not falling from the tree either. she lay there peacefully, joining the other conestants in the after life.

a canon could be heard, and weronika was shown as deceased.

another night and a day had passed, now increasing in difficulty as time went by slowly. sadly, 5 contestants belonging to 4 districts had passed away from hunger, disease, injuries, or wild animals/natural events.

now, only 9 people were left on the fields. 6 of which are sophie, emma, grace, billy, bradley and holly. the other three belong to district 10 and 11.

the rest are all alive and well, not many injuries, apart from bradley who had fallen down a small cliff, injuring his arm.

emma and Bradley had found josh's body near the put-out campfire in which they had traded, and greatfuly took the remaining resorces he had left behind.

only 2 more days left until a winner has to be chosen.

another canon was sounded, but there were two at the same time, saying that lilly and alex had died due to wolves. now everyone was frightened. they didnt want to die from wolves, that would be slow and painful, so they best keep their guard up.

now, just districts 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 10 and 11 reamain.

the clock is ticking, they have to kill as many as they can as soon as possible so they are not chosen to die.

emma finds sophie, she's hiding in a tree, however emma cannot climb it to get to her. and so, they have a conversation together.

"sophie, where's holly?" emma asked her, attempting to climb yet another branch. "why should i tell you? all you want to do is kill her." sophie sighed angrily. "but i do know where grace and billy are." sophie admitted. still not wanting them to die... "ah yes, where then?" emma stood on the groud, her knife still in her hand.

"last time i saw them, they were in a cave near the south, it's a tight fit so you may not see them, and they may have moved." sophie pointed to the south. "okay, thanks." emma nodded and began to walk away. "wait, emma." sophie called out. emma turing around. "what?" emma asked, wanting to leave. "if we die. remember we are still friends, and that we are not enemies. we are best friends even if we do end up killing each other." sophie smiled at her, she really didn't want to kill her, but she might have to.. eventually...

"haha, i know. well, best of luck, sophie. and... i wont kill holly if i find her. dont worry. i'm sure you would hate me forever if i did that." emma laughed, taking a few footsteps back, "okay, thanks. good luck to you too!" sophie waved goodbye as emma smiled one last time to look for her targets. she probably didn't want to kill them, but she had no choice.

actually, holly and sophie were planning to take what's left of the cornucopia, they needed it. they had nothing to keep them selves alive. they didnt have any protection either. holly was watching it through the bushes, and she would signal for sophie to run in and grab as much as she can before running back.

Billy and Grace were sad to see that sophie and holly had left them. they did have a feeling that they weren't neutral. well, at least they didn't kill them. as they were climbing out of the cave, they were scared out of their skin as a canon was sounded. a screen appeared, showing everyone that a girl was killed by emma. and that person was the last of district 10. now, only districts 4 and 11 have all contestants living. but how long would that last?

sophie had successfully taken a few items from the cornucopia without getting caught, sharing them with holly.

now, billy and grace had left each other to find people to kill, and then they would meet back up at nightfall, hoping that neither of them would die.

Emma however, has found the cave that they were previously hiding in, and she knew exactly where billy was, since she heard footsteps from above the cave. it was 100% billy.

Grace had headed to the north-west of the fields, that hadn't been explored fully yet. she may find some rare items there. meanwhile, Billy has been spotted by Emma, who was pulling on the string of her bow, ready to pierce his heart with her only arrow she had collecting on the way. emma's eyes filled with tears as she closed her them. she didn't want to take his life. they were friends, and she didn't want to have to be the one to finnish that friendship forever. but, she had no choice.

she opened her eyes, to see billy looking at a map he had found, stood perfectly still. if she got a good shot, then he would die painlessly and quickly, which would be the best she could get.

she pulled back, and let go. without a word.

Grace was fleeing from Bradley as a canon was sounded accross the fields. it was Billy, from district 4, killed by Emma from district 2. Grace saw this, and was already crying. not expecting him to die, at all. she didn't want to live with this.

she stopped running, and stood still, a perfect target for Bradley.

sophie and Holly were looking through their items, they actually got some decent things. a knife for holly, and a bow for Sophie, with 5 arrows. they both had some apples and an empty bottle to carry water in, so they decided to try to find a water source.

as they were walking, yet another canon was sounded. they looked up to see one of their closest friends. it was Grace and Billy. Grace killed by Bradley, and Billy killed by emma. sophie looked down, trying to ignore it. "i fucking hate this." she cried.

Bradley was just on his way to the southern area when he found both contestants from district 11.

he stood still, waiting for a chance to strike. they seemed to be looting through weronika's supplies that were left behind after the wolves eventually reached her. Bradley jumped in without thinking, successfully stabing one, and having to fight with the other.

they held each other in a tight grasp, it was pretty much even, until they eventually killed one another.

Bradley escaped, cutting the others stomach right across from the left side of the waiste to the other, but it was only then taht he realised that he had been cut himself. they both dropped to the floor, panting in pain, the people from district 11 had died, finally, but Bradley was bleeding way to much. he was going to die.

the other contestants were shocked to hear three canons. it was both district 11 players and Bradley, who ended up dying from blood loss.

now, the only remaining players were Holly, emma and sophie.

Holly kept on saying how she wasn't going to win, and that she should just kill herself, but sophie just kept on declining, she didnt want her to die.

emma, remembered where she last found sophie, so she headed back in that direction.

it was almost night time now, Holly and sophie sat by the riverside, not wanting to kill each other unless they didn't have a choice. they talked for a while, before going over all of their happy memories right from childhood, and their sad ones. meanwhile emma had spotted their area.

Emma didn't want to die, and she didn't want to kill... but it was the rules, so she kept on walking, tears falling from her eyes as the voices of Holly and Sophie became closer and more hearable.

sophie and Holly held hands, as they smiled together, looking at the stars for maybe the last time. it sure was pretty.

"i think you're right." sophie said suddenly. "maybe we should just die." she added. Holly turned her head o face her. "what?" holly was confused. "i think i should die. Emma has more advantages over us, and her district is in more need than mine." sophie was still smiling, somehow. "yeah... mine is okay too i guess... but yeah, hers needs more help than ours." Holly agreed.

"i think we should just end it now." sophie told her. "...me too..." Holly held her hand tighter as they knew this was the end.

Emma just reached the river when she saw Holly and Sophie standing up, giving each other a hug.

she waited. not wanting to kill them, and a little confused about what they were doing.

"see you on the other side then... i guess..." sophie smiled at Holly, who was smiling back, but crying heavily. and that's when sophie looked through her bag to find the berries she had picked up when they were looking for water. "i'm sorry..." sophie started to cry as she handed the berries over to Holly.

they hugged as they cried, they didn't want to die now. they were only 13. havn't seen the world yet, and they wanted to stay together... for just a couple more years at least.

"okay... on the count of 3... on three, we eat them... okay?" sophie was crying, hardly able to make out her words. "o-okay..."

holly tried to smile one last time, as they looked into each others eyes. Emma was watching from the other side. she was also crying... they were doing this for her...

"1..." sophie began... her crying intensifying.

"2..." she added.

she hesitated...

"t-th..." sophie was shaking too much.

"goodbye..." she said, "bye..." holly smiled.

"3..."

Emma looked away, and didnt look back.

and it was just then, that a thump was heard, as they both fell onto the rocks, and then a splash, as their motionless bodies fell into the water.

2 canons were sounded.

and only one player remained.

emma had won.

district 2 has won.

not writing for ages, and then only doing one chapter and it sucks because i didn' check over it, im such a spaz XD.

yeh. i did a tarsh chapter that took up most of my day because my computer kept on crashing XD

it took me forever AND it's worth 3 chapters XD
