Girlstown: Chapter 2

The next morning, everyone met at The Planet as they usually do. Bayley was already sitting at the table with Becky when Renee brought over Becky's shot of vodka.

"Where's Sasha? I thought she got up with you?" Renee asked.

"No. I think she was still asleep when I left this morning." Bayley said.

"She seemed a little upset when she got back last night. Did anything happen at the bar?" Renee asked her.

Bayley tried to remember back to the night before.

"I honestly don't know. I wasn't really paying attention to her." Bayley said as she took a sip of her coffee.

Becky took her shot and let out a deep breath as Paige walked in holding Liv's hand. Bayley and Renee watched in confusion as they sat down together.

"Everyone this is Liv.. My official girlfriend." Paige told them.

"Official, huh?" Bayley asked in surprise.

"Good for you guys." Renee said.

Liv leaned up and kissed Paige on the cheek.

"Where's Mella and Nikki?" Paige asked.

"They have that meeting today." Bayley said awkwardly.

At Nicole and Carmella's house, the morning wasn't getting off to that great of a start. Carmella walked down to the kitchen as Nicole poured her a cup of coffee.

"You were pretty wasted last night." Nicole told her.

"Oh god, don't remind me." Carmella said as she held her head and took a sip of her coffee.

Nicole watched her wife for a moment with reluctance.

"I haven't seen you like that in a long time.. Not since Bayley-." Nicole began to say.

"Can you please not bring that up right now?" Carmella interrupted her.

"What's going on, babe? You been so distant with me lately." Nicole said.

Carmella looked into Nicole's eyes helplessly for a moment.

"You know I love you.." Carmella began to tell her.

"Yeah?" Nicole asked in confusion.

"I don't think I'm ready for a baby." Carmella said suddenly.

Nicole just stared at her in complete disbelief.

"You what?" She asked.

"I think it's too soon." Carmella added.

"You're joking, right?" Nicole asked.

Carmella looked down shamefully.

"We've been talking about this for months and you never thought to tell me that you're not ready?" Nicole asked.

"I'm sorry, I know I should have told you before but I didn't want to disappoint you." Carmella told her.

Nicole looked down as her eyes filled with tears.

"Well I am.. disappointed." Nicole said as she walked away.

"Nicole, wait-." Carmella tried to stop her.

She stormed upstairs, not wanting to hear anymore from Carmella.

Back at The Planet, Lana and Brie had both joined the others at the table.

"Where's your man?" Paige asked Brie.

"I have no idea." Brie said.

Paige let out a small laugh as Lana batted her eyelashes as Naomi behind the counter.

"You know she's straight, right?" Bayley asked.

"For now she is." Lana joked.

Everyone shared as laugh as Sami brought Becky her coffee and Tylenol.

"Thanks, man." Becky said as she threw the pills in her mouth.

Renee handed her a glass of water to wash down the Tylenol. Bayley looked over at the door as Alexa walked in and sat down at the counter.

"Uh-oh." Paige said.

"What?" Lana asked.

"Her and Sasha hate each other. I don't think they've even been in the same room without getting into some kind of fight." Paige said.

"I was dancing with Alexa last night and Sasha was there. Nothing ever happened." Lana said.

"Really? Is everything okay with Sasha?" Paige asked.

"We don't know." Renee said.

"Why do she and Alexa hater each other? Did they used to date or something?" Lana asked curiously.

Bayley let out a laugh.

"I don't know.. They've just never gotten along. They just come from two different world you know? It's impossible for them to see eye to eye." Paige said.

"And Alexa is a complete narsacist that only cares about herself. I mean how could anyone possibly be friends with her?" Bayley added.

Everyone looked around awakely for a moment.

"She's not that bad." Renee said.

Bayley have Renee a dirty look.

Naomi walked over cautiously as Lana continued eyeing her.

"Have any of you talked to Sasha? She supposed to play in like ten minutes." Naomi said.

"No one's heard from her." Renee told her.

Becky looked over at the door as Sasha walked in.

"Here she is." Becky said.

Everyone turned and watched as Sasha rushed to the small stage with her guitar in hand. She threw her hair up the best she could and got herself ready to perform. Sami brought her over a cup of coffee and a glass of water.

"Thank you." Sasha said as she took a sip of her coffee.

Bayley watched Sasha for a moment, not sure why she looked so nervous. Alexa tried not to stare but she couldn't help herself.

"Hello everyone. I'm about to play a song that I'd like to dedicate to one of my close friends." Sasha said over the microphone as she looked at Bayley. The small crowd applauded as Bayley smiled at Sasha.

Everyone turned their attention to Sasha as she began to play an acoustic version of "I Have Questions" by Camilla Cabello.

Why did you leave me here to burn?

The room gave little glances over to Bayley as Sasha continued to sing.

I'm way too young to be this hurt

The smile on Bayley's face quickly began to fade as she listened to the lyrics.

I feel doomed in hotel rooms
Staring straight up at the wall
Counting wounds and I am trying to numb them all

Bayley began to get uncomfortable as their friends looked around akwardly.

Do you care, do you care?

Sasha sang with confidence as she sang directly to her friend.

Why don't you care?
I gave you all of me
My blood, my sweat, my heart, and my tears
Why don't you care, why don't you care?

Alexa watched from the back of the room with an unsettling feeling in her stomach.

I was there, I was there, when no one was
Now you're gone and I'm here

Bayley looked down shamefully as Sasha's voice grew angry.

I have questions for you
Number one, tell me who you think you are
You got some nerve trying to tear my faith apart
(I have questions for you)

Sasha's eyes filled with tears as she sang the next verse.

Number two, why would you try and play me for a fool?
I should have never ever ever trusted you (I have questions)
Number three, why weren't you, who you swore that you would be?
I have questions, I got questions haunting me

Bayley looked up from her seat and locked eyes with Sasha.

I have questions for you

Alexa took a sip of her coffee as a tear fell from Sasha's face.

I have questions for you (I have questions)
I have questions for you

As Sasha finished playing everyone looked around in reluctance, not sure if they should clap. Bayley just stared at Sasha apologetically as Becky  started to clap. The rest of the crowd followed after Becky and applauded. When Sasha walked off the stage and made her way outside, Bayley got up and followed her.

"And you guys wonder why I drink in the morning.." Becky said as she put her feet up on the table.

Outside, Sasha walked down the alley and wiped the tears from her eyes as she waited for Bayley. She took a deep breath as Bayley walked around the corner and into the alley.

"Sasha." Bayley said.

"Oh good, I actually got your attention." Sasha told her.

"What?" Bayley asked as she walked towards her.

"I can't keep pretending like we are best friends and nothing has changed. I can't pretend like everything is okay, anymore." Sasha told her.

"What are you talking about?" Bayley asked.

Sasha looked down and took another deep breath.

"You hurt me, Bayley. It still hurts." Sasha said as her eyes filled with tears.

Bayley wrapped her arms around Sasha and comforted her with a hug. For a moment, Sasha wanted to stay there in Bayley's arms but she knew she couldn't.

"No! You can't do that, right now. You can't just hug me and think I'm just going to forget everything you've done." Sasha said as she pulled away from her.

"Sasha, what are you talking about? Where is all this coming from?" Bayley asked in confusion.

"I told you that I was in love with you! I bared my soul and you rejected me." Sasha reminded her.

"Sasha, that was years ago.." Bayley told her.

"Then a few days later you slept with me. You used me, Bayley! You knew how I felt about you and you played me!" Sasha yelled at her.

"Sasha." Bayley tried to stop her.

"If you didn't feel the same about me then that would have been fine. I mean it would have hurt like hell but I would have gotten over it. But you couldn't just me honest with me, could you? You had to let me think that there was a chance. And when you slept with me, I thought that was it. I thought I had you." Sasha told her.

Bayley began to cry as she looked at Sasha painfully.

"You never cared about me.. Not the way I wanted you to. But you never told me that, did you? You just kept playing your little games.." Sasha told her.

"That wasn't a game, Sasha. I really tried. I wanted there to be something between us. I didn't want to hurt you." Bayley said with a crack in her voice.

Sasha shook her head in disapproval.

"How could I have been so stupid?" Sasha asked in embarrassment with herself.

"You're not stupid, Sasha." Bayley told her.

"Can you just admit it? Just once, I want to hear you tell me to my face." Sasha said.

"Sasha, I don't know what you're talking about." Bayley tried to tell her.

"Yes you do. Why couldn't you love me? What is the one reason why I will never be enough for you?" Sasha asked her.

Bayley looked into Sasha's eyes hopelessly as she hesitanted to speak.

"You're not her." Bayley said suddenly.

Sasha let out an uncomfortable smile.

"There it is." Sasha said as a tear fell down her face.

Bayley looked down at the ground again, not wanting to see the pain in her friends eyes.

"It took you a few years but you finally admit it." Sasha said as she tried to walk away.

As she walked by her, Bayley grabbed her arm and stopped her.

"Sasha." Bayley said.

They looked into each other's eyes.

"You know you're perfect, right? I'm the one that fucked up here." Bayley told her.

"Yeah.. I think I'm starting to realize that." Sasha said.

"And one day you are going find someone as perfect as you are. You're going to look at her and know that I could never have filled her shoes. She'll be everything I could never be for you." Bayley told her.

Sasha wiped the tears from her eyes and walked away. Once she made it back to the main street, Alexa pulled up and pushed opened her passenger side door. Sasha looked over at her and let out a smile. She walked to the street and got in the car.

"Get me out of here." Sasha said as she wiped the tears from her eyes.

Alexa grabbed Sasha's hand to comfort her as she drove off.

Across town, Seth walked up to Paul's auto shop to find Dean in a greasy wife beater.

"Damn." Seth said as he approached him.

Dean looked over and let out a smile. He nodded his head, motioning for Seth to follow him outside the garage.

"I brought you a sandwich." Seth told him.

Dean took the paper bag he gave him and smiled to himself.

"I'd kiss you but I'm all dirty." Dean
said.

"I don't care." Seth said as he leaned in and kissed him slowly.

Dean felt his heart grow warm as Seth's lips met his. He grabbed his waist and let out a small laugh as he pulled he way. Dean looked around cautiously.

"You know one of these days you're going to have to come out of the closet." Seth told him.

Dean looked at him nervously for a moment.

"Yeah, well today is not that day so back up." Dean told him.

Seth let out a sigh of frustration.

"Are we still on for beers later?" Seth asked him.

"Yeah. Come by my place at eight." Dean told him.

"See you then." Seth told him.

Dean looked up and grinned as Seth walked away.

Across town, Carmella walked upstairs to try and talk to Nicole.

"We need to talk." Carmella said as she sat down in the bed next to her.

Nicole looked up at her uncomfortably.

"When are you going to be ready for kids?" Nicole asked her.

"I'm not sure." Carmella said.

"So you just expect me to wait around until you decide it's the right time? What if I wait and I eat it and you're never ready?" Nicole asked her.

"I don't know.." Carmella said awkwardly.

"We talked about having kids before and it was something we both wanted. Why are you changing your mind now?" Nicole asked.

"I'm not changing my mind. But now that it's actually happening I'm getting cold feet, you know? It's like I see yellow lights everywhere telling me to slow down." Carmella said.

Nicole looked down and tucked her hair behind her tear.

"Well all I see is green lights telling me to keep going. So when did we start taking different roads?" Nicole asked her.

Carmella looked into her eyes helplessly.

"I love you, Nicole." Carmella assured her.

"Just not enough to start a family with me." Nicole said as she got up and walked away.

Carmella threw her head back in frustration.

At The Planet, Naomi was organizing things in the back office when Lana walked in.

"Can I come in?" Lana asked.

Naomi looked up at her and let out a sigh.

"You already came in, didn't you?" Naomi asked.

Lana laughed and walked towards her.

"I had a really good time with you last night." Lana told her.

Naomi looked up as Lana sat down on her desk.

"Yeah, me too." Naomi said.

Lana looked Naomi up and down with a mischievous smile on her face. Naomi backed up to the wall as Lana walked towards her.

"What are you doing?" Naomi asked her.

Lana stood face to face with Naomi as she examined her lips. Naomi's heart began to beat faster as Lana leaned in and kissed her. Lana cupped her hand around Naomi's breast as they began to make out. In that moment, Naomi felt something she had never felt before. For whatever reason her mind went on auto pilot as she continued kissing Lana. Suddenly, Naomi had the courage to pull herself away.

"I can't." Naomi told her.

Lana looked into Naomi's eyes and let out a slight smile.

"But you want to." Lana told her.

Naomi looked at her with caution.

"Don't worry. I'll be here when you change your mind." Lana told her before walking our of the office.

Out in the cafe, Sami was waiting tables when Finn walked in and sat down.

"What do you want?" Sami asked as he approached his table.

"I'll have a date, please." Finn told him.

Sami stared at him in annoyance for a minute.

"And I'll have a coffee to go." Finn added.

Sami laughed and shook his head.

"Just go out with me." Finn told him.

"No." Sami said as he tried to walk away.

"Don't under estimate me, Sami Zayn." Finn warned him.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Sami asked as she turned around.

Finn suddenly jumped up on the table and got everyone's attention.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Can I have your attention, please?" Finn asked.

Sami looked up at him in confusion as everyone stared at Finn.

"I have been trying to get this handsome young man here to go on a date with me. But for some reason he doesn't seem to find me as charming as most people do." Finn began to tell everyone.

Sami couldn't help but let out a small laugh.

"Can you guys help me out here a little bit? I just want one date." Finn said.

Sami tried to hide his face as everyone began cheering on Finn.

"Got out with me." Finn said as he looked down at him.

Sami stared at Finn in frustration.

"Say yes!" A woman yelled from the back.

"Go out with him!" A man added.

Sami shook his head as Finn waited nervously.

"Fine. One date." Sami reluctantly gave in.

Finn jumped down from the table and faced Sami.

"Meet me here at seven." Finn told him as he headed for the door.

"What about your coffee?" Sami asked.

Finn opened the door and laughed.

"I didn't come for the coffee." Finn said before leaving.

Sami smiled to himself for a moment, completely taken back by Finn's efforts.

Down the street from The Planet, Becky and Renee we're walking with their coffee's in hand.

"I'm really not looking forward to Nikki and Carmella's house party tomorrow." Becky said.

"I know. Those things are always so boring." Renee agreed.

Becky checked out a girl as she walked by.

"Sonya is actually going to be in town for the weekend. So she'll be going to the party." Renee said with hesitance.

Becky rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Great.. that's just great." Becky said.

"Just play nice, okay? I don't feel like babysitting the two of you." Renee told her.

"I'll try my best." Becky said.

Renee glanced over at Becky shamefully at the fact that she still hadn't told her about New York.

That evening Finn was waiting outside The Planet for his date with Sami. He looked down at his watch nervously.

"Did you think I stood you up?" Sami asked as he approached.

Finn let out a sigh of relief.

"It wouldn't have been completely out of the question." Finn laughed.

"I did consider it." Sami joked.

Finn shook his head and they began to walk down the street.

"So where are we going?" Sami asked him.

"Right here." Finn said as they approached the alley.

To Sami's surprise there were beautiful string lights hung between the two buildings and a table from the cafe set up for two.

"You did this?" Sami asked him.

Finn walked out and pulled out Sami's chair.

"After all the trouble I went through to get you to go out with me I had to do something big." Finn said as he sat down across from him.

Sami looked at Finn with skepticism.

"Okay.. I'll admit I'm a little impressed." Sami told him.

Finn let out a slight smile and poured two glasses of wine.

"Twenty questions?" Finn asked.

Sami shrugged his shoulders.

"Okay, I'll start.. Who is someone you look up to? Some that you admire?" Finn asked him.

"My mother. She was a single mother working two full time jobs. She's my hero." Sami said.

Finn let out a smile and admired what Sami said.

"What about you? Are you close with your parents?" Sami asked.

"Yes and no.. They just aren't completely okay with the whole gay thing yet." Finn said.

"But they're still talking to you?" Sami asked.

"Yeah. And I know that's a lot better than what most people get but it sucks having them not believe in me, you know?" Finn asked.

"How do you mean?" Sami asked.

"I came out when I was in high school and they still think this is just a phase or they think I'm trying to piss them off. I keep telling them who I am and they don't believe me." Finn said uncomfortably.

Sami watched Finn for a moment with sympathy.

"I'm sorry.. that can't be easy." Sami told him.

Finn took a deep breath and tried to shake off his discomfort.

"Okay. It's my turn. When did you come out?" Finn asked.

"I didn't really. I mean my mom kind of came out for me, I guess." Sami laughed.

"What?" Finn asked in confusion.

"I think I was probably thirteen and I went to my first school dance with this girl. When I got home I told my mom how she tried to kiss me and she just started laughing. Then I told her about how great the girls outfit looked but I wasn't really into her and my mom was practically crying from laughing so hard." Sami began to say.

Finn let lout a laugh himself.

"I asked what was so funny and she said, you know you're gay right?" Sami said.

"She knew?" Finn asked in amusement.

"Yeah and I was kind of like yeah.. that makes since, I'm totally gay." Sami said.

They both shared a laugh and took a sip of their wine.

Across town, Seth pulled up to Dean's apartment and got out of his car. A slight smile came across his face in excitement. Suddenly, Seth saw Dean walking across the parking lot with his arm around Brie. The smile quickly faded from his face as Dean shot him and apologetic look. Seth's eyes filled with tears as he back away and got in his car.

Back at The Planet, Sami and Finn were just finishing their date.

"I have to admit, you kind of surprised me tonight." Sami told him.

"Yeah?" Finn asked as he faced him.

"Yeah." Sami said as he looked into his eyes.

Finn suddenly leaned in and pressed his lips against Sami's. Both their hearts began to race as they shared a slo, passionate kiss. As Finn pulled away, Sami looked into his eyes again.

"What are my chances of getting a second date?" Finn asked him.

Sami smiled to himself.

"I don't know.. I'm still trying to figure out if your full of shit or not." Sami told him.

Finn laughed at Sami's comment.

"Okay, well let me know when you do figure it out.. Because I want to see you again, Sami Zayn." Finn said.

Sami watched with intrigue as a fun. walked away.

At Babe's Bar, Becky was having drinks with Paige and Liv.

"Can one of you guys get the next round? Zelina won't serve me." Becky said.

"Why not?" Paige asked already o wok get the answer.

"I may have forgot to call her." Becky said.

"Why do you tell girls your going to call if you clearly aren't?" Liv asked her.

"It's just a habit, okay? That's the only way to make a clean get away." Becky told her.

"You're such a dick." Paige told her.

"Yeah, I know." Becky said as Liv went to get their drinks.

"So I hear Sonya is coming to town tomorrow. Are you gonna be able to get along?" Paige asked.

Becky laughed to herself for a moment.

"Sure." Becky said unconvincingly.

"Come on, you guys used to be best friends. Isn't it time you guys put the past behind you?" Paige asked.

"You don't even know what happened." Becky told her.

"I know that things got weird between you guys when she started dating Renee. Then all of a sudden you hate her guts." Paige said.

Becky looked down awkwardly.

"Wait. Is this whole thing about Renee?" Paige asked.

Becky looked up at Paige uncomfortably as Liv returned.

"Zelina only gave me two drinks, she knew I was getting one for you." Liv said.

Becky shook her head and grabbed her phone.

"Whatever. I'm heading out." Becky said as she stormed off.

Kenny was pouring Roman a drink. He pulled out his phone and saw a text.

"Sorry, can't hang out tonight. I convinced Dean to actually spend some time with me."
     -Brie

"Great."
     -Roman

Kenny watched as Roman threw his phone down in frustration.

"Everything okay?" Kenny asked.

"Never been better." Roman said as he chugged down his glass of beer.

"What's up, guys?" Cody asked.

"Nothing really. It's been a pretty slow night." Kenny told him.

Cody looked around nervously for a moment.

"Do you think we could talk outside for a minute?" Cody asked Kenny.

Roman looked over at Cody curiously.

"I'm working man. Just tell me here." Kenny said.

Cody looked down awkwardly.

"Never mind. It's not important anyway" Cody said as got up and walked away.

Roman and Kenny looked at each other for a moment and laughed.

At Mae's house, Renee was in a pair of red pajama shorts and a white little tank top. Her long blonde hair was put up in a cute pony tail as she danced bare foot through the kitchen. Becky had walked inside as the song " Cherry Cola" by Kuwada began to play.

I sip the liquor but it's much too harsh
Chase me down chase me down make a stop

Becky quietly shut the door behind her as Renee sang through a wooden spoon.

I know she said that she fun with her own soul
Unfortunately cuz there's so much of the devil's first small joke

Becky leaned against the wall and crossed her arms at she watched Renee in amusement.

She in this so cold but she made my brain stop now she's a sinful

Renee swayed her hips back and forth and continued dancing like no one was watching.

I've been searching for something sweet,
that's cold in the summer and take away the sea

Renee suddenly turned around and saw Becky standing there.

"Becks? How long have you been here?" Renee asked her.

"Long enough." Becky said as she walked into the kitchen.

Now, the miracle's too much to blame,
and I'm trying hard chasing all the other men where

"You're not completely drunk." Renee said.

"No, I only had a few drinks tonight." Becky told her.

I'm just searching for casting and
timeless? Oh hey there I think I found it

Renee smiled proudly at Becky. Suddenly, Becky grabbed Renee's
hand and spun her around.

She my cherry cola
She gon keep me sober

Renee let out a playful laugh as They began dancing together.

Let me keep you closer
Bum me like a soda

Renee was still holding Becky's hand as she swayed her body to the music.

Sweeter than the champagne
Swimming in this cold drink
Keep me from the chardonnay
I'm just sipping one thing

Becky smiled to herself as Renee let herself go. She couldn't fight the off feeling in her chest but she kind of like it.

She my cherry cola
She gon keep my sober
Let me keep you closer
Bum like a soda

Becky glanced down as Renee gently began grinding in her. Without thinking, she put her hands on her waist and moved along with her. If this had been any of girl, Becky would have already made her move.

Sweeter than the champagne
Swimming in this cold drink
Keep me from the chardonnay
I'm just sipping one thing

Renee laughed and turned around to face Becky.

If it's not you, then it won't do

Becky looked into Renee's eyes as they shared a moment.

If it's not you, then it won't do

"Becks.. I have to tell you something." Renee said as the smile left her face.

If it's not you, then it won't do

Becky looked at Renee in confusion. Before Renee could say anything, Seth walked inside with tears in his eyes.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Renee asked.

Seth ignored her and went directly to his bedroom.

Outside, Bayley had just gotten out of her car when Carmella approached her with a small suitcase in tow.

"Mella?" Bayley asked curiously.

"Can I stay with you tonight?" Carmella asked with tears in her eyes.

Bayley rushed over and wrapped her arms around Carmella as she broke out in tears.

In the city, Sasha and Alexa had booked a room at Alexa's parents hotel in downtown Chicago. Their room had an amazing view overlooking the skyline. After taking a relaxing shower and getting settled in for the evening, Sasha and Alexa were cuddling in bed watching the movie "Say Anything."

"Do your parents know you're in town?" Sasha asked as Alexa laid in her lap.

"No.. But I'm sure they'll find out." Alexa said unfortunately.

Sasha ran her hand through Alexa's hair.

"What do we have planned for tomorrow?" Sasha asked her.

"I thought we could go down the street to this bakery for breakfast. Then maybe I could show you around my high school hang out spots. And for lunch we could go down to Navy Pier and spend the afternoon. I figured we could just play the rest by ear." Alexa said.

Sasha let out a small laugh.

"You sound like you've had this planned for awhile." Sasha told her.

Alexa looked up at her and let out a smile.

"I have." Alexa told her.

Sasha looked into her eyes and felt a warmth in her heart as Alexa leaned in and kissed her slowly.
