Chapter 10: She's My Fiancé

"She's my fiancé." I hear Jack say making me look at him with a look of shock. "What!?" I say and hear Birdie say which me making me look at her. she looked shocked also pissed and the look of death was in her eyes. "You're so full of shit, you two are not engaged. Your family would never set up another arranged marriage after what happened to us." Birdie says crossing her arms. What happened to them? I thought, whoever this girl was in Jack's past and is still living there, she had to be put in her place. Even thought I would never in a million years marry Jack I decided to pretend and help Jack, at less for now. I put one arm around Jack's waist and put my other hand on his chest placing my head on her arm. "His not lying. I was just surprised because we don't like to tell anyone." I say making me look at Jack, "Babe... you promised me that we wouldn't tell anyone." I say.

I feel him tighten his hand on my waist, "I'm sorry love, it just slipped out." He says making me giggle as I look back at Birdie, "I'm sorry for the confusion... Ugh, gosh this is embarrassing, I'm sorry dearie, what's your name again?" I ask making her cheeks get red with rage, I might be having a little to harsh but I was also having way to much fun with this. I see Birdie step close to us but she kept her eyes locked on mine. "I'm Lou Birdie, best remember that name Moon-San." You could feel the tension between Birdie and I as we kept glaring at us.

"Why are you here Lou-San?" Jack ask pulling me back a little so I don't attack her. Birdie took the hint to back off and stepped back. "I was going to surprise you and let you know I'm back in town." She says batting her eyes, making me glare, Jack might not be my man but right now I have to make her believe that he is. "I told you not to bother with seeing me again." Jack says a little more harshly then I've even heard before. Birdie took a brave step by stepping up to Jack putting a hand on his free arm that I wasn't on.

"Jackie, I know you didn't mean that." She purrs making me step in front of Jack, blocking Birdie from him. "Look, sweetie, I know your history. (I didn't) And Jack is still getting over what happened, and seeing you right now is really hurting him. So I think it's best you just leave mine Jack alone." I hiss. Why was I being so protective of Jack, why was I feeling so upset seeing Birdie here trying to flirt with Jack, it was making me so angry seeing him like this. Birdie looks over at me, "Aren't you going to say anything!?" She yells. I feel Jack's hands go on my shoulders, "My girl has spoken, I think it's time for you to leave." Jack says holding me close as he wraps his arms around my shoulders.

I can see Birdie's face turning red with angry, "Fine I'll leave. But just so you both know, this isn't the last you'll see of me." She says as she starts to walk off. I look up at Jack with a question look as he watched Birdie. "What do you mean Lou-San?" Jack ask making her stop. She turns her head looking over her shoulder, "Oh, you didn't hear? I'll be going to school with you Fujitsu-Chan." She says with a big smile making my eyes widen and Jack tighten his grip. "Why?" He ask making her shrug, "I mean I have to finish school don't I? And your school is the best of the best." She says as she turns back to us. She claps her hands together with excitement, "Why don't you two have lunch with me tomorrow. And we can talk about this fake little thing you're doing." She locks eyes with me.

"There's nothing to say Lou-San. My family wants me run the company when I graduate and I need someone next to me. So I chose Elsa." I don't know what his talking about, and I don't know these two history but I'll do whatever I can to make this bitch leave. I can see tears start to go into Birdie's eyes and she looks at Jack, "That's a dirty lie! You had someone to run the company with! Me! And you throw that away!" I watch as Birdie looks at me and points at Jack and I, "I know this fake engagement is just that... Fake. And I will find out." She hisses before she turns on her heel and leaves finally.

I took a deep breath as I turn to Jack, "We need to talk. Now." I say as I push past him and walk to his couch and sit. "Yeah... I guess I we do." I hear Jack say as he closes the door. I could tell he was scared to tell me what he was thinking or what he wanted to say but if he wants this lie to work, I need to know what the hell is going on. I patted the sit next to me making him sit down. He kept looking at the door like she was going to come back making me a little upset. "She's not coming back." I say making him finally look at me. "That's not..." He starts but I just a gave him a look knowing I wasn't taking his shit anymore.

"Fine, you agreed with my lie, I guess you need to know about Birdie and I's relationship." He says almost like his doing me a favorite by asking me. "You guess I need to know? You're kidding right? I have the right to know. If you want to keep this lie up sweetheart, then I need to know everything." I say making him smirk a bit, "You are going to scare the hell out of her." He says making me glare at him, "Talk Frost." Finally he sighs, "Fine. When my uncle got sick and I started to take over for him, my father thought it would be a good idea for me to engaged to someone to help me keep sane." "Kind of like what I'm doing now just minus the cleaning?" I ask making him smile, "Yeah, and well, I agreed.

"They picked Lou Birdie. Her family owns a clothing line... umm, Magic." He says making me roll my eyes, "Magic? That stupid clothing line that makes girls dress like sluts? Real nice." I say. I knew about Magic clothes, cheaply made and not enough martial for the price. Jack nod, "You know, I think you are the one person I know who hates their clothes." He says making me smile, "That's because I can make better clothes for cheaper and who has a hundred dollars to drop on jeans?" I say making Jack raises his eyebrow and gave me a smirk. "Right, you do." I say making him laugh, it was first time I saw him give me a real laugh since we started this talk. But it was almost making more and more nervous on what was happening and what I gotten myself into. I moved my finger in circles, "So tell me what happened with you and Lou-San."

"Right, well we meet, and we fell in love. No... I fell in love." He says and it looked like he was hurt saying that. "Birdie didn't love me for me, she loved the idea of being in my family for the money and fame. I didn't want to believe it at first." Jack said has his hands started to shake, "But I knew it wasn't true, she was hanging out with other guys, God I think she even cheated on me. And I couldn't handle it anymore so... I broke it off. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done." It all made scene now, why he acted like this, why he was so cold to woman. I lend back on the couch and looked at the ceiling, "Now I understand you." I say not looking at him. "Why you act so cold to woman, why you won't fall in love with me." I say as I look at him to see him stone face.

"You still love her." I say and it was almost hard to say because who could love such a horrible woman? Jack didn't say anything because he knew I was right even if he didn't want to admit it. I had two choices, I could get the hell out of this deal and just be his maid, no talking, no weird flirting, nothing. Or... I could go with this lie and be his fake fiancé. Looking at his face, I knew what chose I was going to pick and I was pissed at myself because I feel like this was going to end very... very badly.

I sigh and sit up straight and grabbed his hand, "So, how did we meet?" I ask with a smile making him confused. "What?" He ask making me roll my eyes, "I asked how we meet, I mean did we meet at school or did your folks interdicted us? If we did that we'd have to tell them the plan, and at school you can't tell people that I'm your fiancé..." I was rambling again, this was stressing me out. "Elsa Elsa, you're over thinking." Jack says squeezing my hand, "But... thank you." He says looking into my eyes. I liked the look he was giving me, it was pure and innocent, something that witch could of easily stolen from him.

"This means you have to be with me a lot, you have to sit with me at lunch, be all lovely dovy and take a lot of shit form the girls at our school." Jack says making me laugh, "Please, like they'll mess with the Ice Queen." I say with a giggle but Jack wasn't kidding. I cleared my throat, "Right sorry. Jack, I can be a girlfriend, and I'll be a damn good one. No one will know this is fake." I say hoping he believes me because I barely believe it. "This also means we have to breaks some walls..." Jack hastily says making me tighten my grip, He was right, for this to work, we're going to have to get to know each other which means I have to tell him about my father.

"I... I can knock some walls down. I just don't think you'll like it." I say my voice shaking but Jack just gave me that rare smile that made my heart into a flutter. "You don't think I'll like what's behind your walls? Because I'm scared you won't like what's behind mine." He says placing his hand on my cheek and I know he can feel the heats on my cheeks. "But we have to work together." He says almost in a whisper making me place my hand on top of his, "I know, so there are few things we should go by then, maybe some rules and... I need you to come with me on Wednesday." I say as he pulls his hand away and raise an eyebrow, "What's happening on Wednesday?" He ask.

"It's a wall that I never take down, but for you, I will." I say seeing some color go into his cheeks, "Then we'll wait till Wednesday, now what is these rules you speak of?" I smile a little as I stand up and walk to the kitchen grabbing a notepad and a pen. Before I joined him back in the living room I wrote, Rules of Dating. And took it back into the living room showing it to Jack. "Rules of Dating huh? And what are the rules to dating the Ice Queen?" He ask with a smirk on his face. "Rule one, no kissing." I say making him glare, "No kissing? How are people going to believe that we're dating huh?" "You can kiss me on the cheek but that's it, people will believe that." I say and write down the first rule.

"Fine, rule two, you have to stay the night on the weekends." He say making me look at him, "Why?" I ask. "I like a sleeping buddy. I would want you to just live with me but I don't think your family would allow that." "Damn right they won't." I say and write down his rule. I put the pen in my mouth trying to think of another rule chewing on the end a little. "Rule three, you have to pick me up every morning." I say writing it down quickly before he can change his mind. "Fine, that'll be easy, I don't trust you riding the bus anyways. Rule four, you have to go to parties with me." Ugh, I hate parties, it's just so stupid. "Why? I mean what's the point?" I ask.

"The point is that you're my fiancé to Birdie and my girlfriend to everyone else, I go to parties and I host parties, you need to be there with me or people won't believe it." He hisses and I knew he was right. I took a deep breath, "Fine, I'll go." I sigh and wrote down the fourth rule. "Is there anything else you want to add?" He ask as I look at the paper and write one more thing, "Rule five, no lying." I say and look at him straight in the eye, "If we want this to work, we have to be honest with each other. Wednesday is going to be a hard day for me and I need to truth you." I say.

Jack looks at the paper before looking at me and nods, "You're right we have to trust each other." I smile as I sign at the bottom of the paper and give the pen to Jack, "Okay, sign it so it's official." I say as he grabs the pen but as he grabs the pen, he holds onto my hand and pulls me in kissing me lightly on the lips before he pulls back making me cover my mouth, "Frost! We said no kissing!" I say as he signs the paper. He places the pen down and looks at me, "We did, and I didn't sign the paper yet so I can do that. Also that was payback for this morning, you know that little... kiss." He says with a smirk making me wish I never agreed to this.

"Elsa, is that you?" I hear as I open the door to my house finally making it home. I had way to much to do before school tomorrow, like calling Serena who has texted me at less five times already asking me what happened, I didn't even know what to say to her. And I needed to do my homework before I crash on my bed and fall asleep. "Yes mama it's me." I yell back as I take my shoes off and walk into the kitchen to see my mom at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in her hands as she looks at the newspaper.

"How was Serena's?" She ask as I poor myself some coffee and joined her at the table. I didn't realize how late it was when Riku took me home it was almost eight. I guess Jack and I had more to talk about then we knew. I look at my coffee feeling a smile on my face thinking about last night, "It was a lot of fun, Serena says hi." I say as I drink my coffee. "She's a sweet girl, she should come by more often." My mother says before she lets out a yawn. "Long night?" I ask making her nod, "Yeah, I spend a lot of it with your father." she says and I see her tighten her grip on her mug.

"Anything new?" I ask making her shake her head, "No, his still the same. Are you planning on visiting him?" She ask taking a drink. "Yeah on Wednesday, I was thinking of bring his favorite book and reading to him for awhile." I say making my mom smile, "I bet he would like that. Is Anna going with you?" She ask. I guess it was time to tell her, Anna was going to find out soon and tell her anyways. I took a deep breath, "Umm... No. I was thinking of inviting a guy form school..." I whisper and look at my mug, I didn't want look at her, or what her look she was giving me.

"A boy? You'v never bought anyone with you to see your father. Who is this boy who has the honor of meeting your father?" She ask making me finally look at her. She has one hand on her cheek and she was giving me a strange look. "Remember the boy that visit me at the hospital? Shimo Jack?" I ask making her nod, "The very sweet and handsome one. That you said was only a friend." She said with a smile making my cheeks get red. "Well... I lied, his not only a friend. We started to date... I've had feelings for him for awhile and I guess he felt the same way." I said feeling my heart beat a little, why was it doing that?

"I had a feeling you were hiding something from me Elsa Rose." My mother said as she drank her coffee making me give a small smile, "You can't anything from your mama." She says making giggle a little "You have no idea." I say as she starts to get up and puts her coffee mug in the sink before she walks over to me and kisses me on the top of my head, "Get your homework done and get some rest, I have to work a double tomorrow so please cook dinner." My mother said as she started to walk to her room to go to sleep. It was hard seeing her work so hard for us and my father but these check coming in from Jack well at less of little of them will help out.

I finally my coffee and put both mine and my mother's in the dishwasher right as I hear the front door open. I waited until I hear the sneaky footsteps get closer to the kitchen door where I knew Anna was trying to sleep into her room without me or mama knowing how late she was getting home. "Anna." I say without looking at the doorway knowing very well she was there. I turn to her to see her in mid step trying to get to her room. She straightens up and puts her hand on the back of her head, "Elsa... What are you doing up? I thought you'd be a sleep by know or be in your room at less." She says giving me a fake giggle.

I raise my eyebrow as I step close to her, "So little sister, where did you just get back form? This late at night." I say seeing her body language change a little. "I was at the library with Kim, you remember Kim, she's my lab partner. We were doing a project together." She says as she tries to step away again but I step in her way, "Really? Kim? You know that's funny because I don't remember Kim being in your class. But you know who I do remember being in your class?" I ask making her step back a little, fear creeping into her eyes.

"Wh...Who?" She whispers. "Fuja Kristoff." I whisper making her eyes widen, "Fuja? What? No... Ha Elsa I think you're losing it my dear..." But she stopped rambling the minute I crossed my arms and give her my 'tell the truth' look. Finally she sighs, "Fine, I was with Fuja, but we do have lab together I swear!" She says and I could tell she was telling the truth. "Anna why were you with a boy this late? I mean what could you tow possibly doing?" I ask making her cheeks get red making me wish I didn't asks. I closed my eyes and pinch the bridge of my nose, "You know what, never mind. Just be careful, boys are dangerous." I say as I start to walk away from her.

"You know, not all boys are like Shimo Jack." Anna says quietly making me stop and turn back to her. "What do you mean?" I ask making her shrug. "His a jerk and I know his Kristoff's friend and he says his different from what everyone says but I don't know... He still seems like a jerk to me." Anna says as she steps away form me and into her room. Kristoff knew the real Jack, I bet he knew more about him and Birdie's relationship too. I might have to have a talk with this Fuja Kristoff soon. But tonight I was to tried to think about what tomorrow will hold or even about Jack. I just want to do my homework and go to sleep. And that's exactly what I did.

Hey guys! I am so sorry for the late update again! It's been a little crazy these last feel weeks. We had guest stay over, my family got into a car crash (don't worry we're all fine.) and my car is totally totaled which is heartbreaking because I loved Sonic (my car) so much but it's okay because we're all safe and that's what matters. I'm hoping to update again soon but I will be taking some time to recover and get some rest and spend some much needed family time. Thank you everyone for reading my work and liking it.
