The next morning, to my surprise, my car started right up.
I had to hurry to get ready this morning, so I threw on some normal athletic clothing. Just so I looked athletic, and I went to the gym. Even though I don't, and I'm honestly a lazy fucker. But they don't need to know that, now do they?
I was honestly so shocked that I was going to see good old Brendon Urie. If you think about it, it's insane. Because he's pretty much the king of the world, with his fame, his money, his beautiful wife, and everything else. So I was planning on seeing him all disguised, which was okay.
The coffee shop wasn't even that far away from my apartment complex too, which was awesome because I didn't want to spend too much money on gas. And it was a calm car ride, as I played my Pandora on the radio and looked at the rain drizzling down from my windows.
I pulled into the coffee shop's parking lot and turned the car off, pulling my phone out of my purse. I checked my notifications and saw that Kaitlyn and Kalie had both texted me in our group chat to send details of what was going on, because Kylie had said something to them.
Kaitlyn and Kalie are my two best friends from my child hood.
Kaitlyn, I've known since elementary school because I was crying because of my dad saying something dumb to me in the morning. She was there to walk me down to the counselor's office, and then we were really close ever since. She's got some really long brown hair and she's super tan. She's got these super cute glasses that shape her eyes really well too, and she's fucking hilarious. She can crack a joke in the worst situations.
Kalie; whose name is actually pronounced KAY-LEE, I've known since middle school. She moved there in the middle of the year when she moved in with her mom. She dyes her hair a lot, right now it's a dark red. Her hair is naturally curly and she has really pretty blue eyes. She's a super nice girl who will always be there for both Kaitlyn and I.
They kept teasing me, but that's okay. Because I would tease them too.
A black car pulled up into the next parking spot next to me, which confused me because there had to be 10 open spaces. I tried to make the figure out of the tinted window, but it wasn't working out for me. I think they noticed I was looking at them when a man opened the door and stepped out, so I did the same. It was Brendon.
I stepped out to greet him, "Oh my god, you look so good now!" Brendon said, pulling me in for a casual hug. He looked the same, it was just the fact that his skin was a lot clearer and you could tell he was more fit.
"Thank you, you look great!" I said back, pulling away from the hug.
"Oh hey, this is my wife Sarah." He turned his attention towards her, while smiling at her.
Holy shit, she was gorgeous. Her hair was dark, almost black and it went down to her shoulders. She had a brown beanie on. Her makeup was very well done, I can tell she did it herself.
"Hello," was all she said as she stuck her hand out to shake mine.
"Hi, my name is Katie. Katie David." I smiled, and shuck her hand.
"Well hey there Katie David, I'm Sarah Urie." She gave me a friendly smile back.
We were just kinda standing there in the rain so Brendon offered to go inside.
The coffee shop wasn't busy at all, so that's probably why they picked this one.
"What would you like, Katie?" Sarah asked, pulling out her wallet and facing the barista.
I didn't know what to say because I didn't want her to pay, but I didn't want to argue with her as well. I stuttered with what I was saying and I just said, "Caramel macchiato, please?"
She smiled and nodded, "Hey, can I get two caramel macchiato coffees, and a white chocolate frappe?"
The barista nodded and Sarah pulled out her credit card to pay, so I walked over to Brendon. He was sitting at a table playing on his phone.
"How have you been?" I asked as I sat down in the chair crossed from him.
"I have been fantastic, I just got off tour and I won't be touring for another few years."
"That's awesome, I'm proud of you and your band." I smiled.
"Yeah..its just me in my band."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I had Ryan. We don't talk about those times. Spencer was there too, but he is in rehab right now."
"Oh," I said. Feeling bad about bringing those things up.
"Here you guys go!" Sarah said, putting our coffee on the table.
"Thanks, babygirl." Brendon said to Sarah, kissing her on the cheek as she sat down.
"You're welcome love." Sarah said back, smiling.
I took a sip of my coffee, "Thank you both,"
They both smiled.
"If you don't mind, is it okay if I ask why you guys invited me out? It's not a bad thing, I was just kind of caught off guard." I said, kind of nervous for what they were going to say.
Sarah looked at Brendon with kind of a scared look, "Should we tell her?"
"I think we should," Brendon said, with a shrug.
