sloane was currently laying in her bed looking at the ceiling. her hands clasped together as they rested on her stomach. she kept replaying the entire evening through her head.

the evening went by great but archie seemed to be off after his phone call with annie. he was still very respectful with sigourney and sloane. he answered the rest of her mother's questions. after what seemed like an eternity, they went to go see alien: romulus at the local theater.

it was fun for archie to see their reactions. they both were so into the movie. leaning forward when tense things occurred. getting scared when facehuggers or xenomorphs were chasing the characters. sigourney nodded her head throughout the entire movie respect how fede put in many references and easter eggs. it was clear as day they he knows this franchise perfectly and respects it. sigourney loves how he made it his own with alien: romulus

sloane grabbed her phone quickly texting archie

11:11 p.m

sloane
Hey are you up?

archie
Yeah, everything okay?

sloane quickly got up from her bed putting her robe and slippers on. she quickly opened her door then closed it making sure not to make any kind of noise as she headed downstairs out of the cabin. her mother was peacefully sleeping in the guest room upstairs.

archie has moved over to the cabin where kelsie, emma and finneas were staying. a huge cabin all to himself but he would much rather be with sloane. they have been acting as if he has been staring in the cabin by himself for the past day.

it was quite chilling outside as sloane walked over to the cabin that wasn't too far away. she could hear cicadas buzzing along with the leaves rustling as the cold wind was blowing.

she heard something creak loudly, she stopped in her tracks looking around with a puzzled look. she began to walk fast stepping up onto the porch knocking on the back door. the cabin was dark as hell, no lights were on except for the one upstairs in his room. after a couple of minutes, archie opened the door immediately moving over to let her come inside

"what's going on?" archie asked with concern, sloane headed over to the couch in the living room taking a seat.

archie made sure the door was locked, ruffling his messy bed ridden hair. he went to sit across from her. "what is the matter? there was some kind of shift within your energy after that call." sloane mentioned gently keeping her eyes locked on him

archie tensed up for a moment thinking about the heated argument he had with the mother of his child. "annie has found out about us due to blogs discussing we are in the talking stage."

he was looking down at his lap, "she's upset." sloane hinted with obviousness

archie exhaled, "pissed would be the best word to use in this case unfortunately." he began nervously fiddling with his fingers trying to reveal the heartbreaking news to sloane who was being nothing but patient

"she is threatening to take me to court so she can put me on child support." archie said sounding hurt all over again, sloane was disoriented

she frowned growing upset for him, "why in the world would she do that? you take care of your daughter. you aren't one of those fathers who just takes care of her financially and goes on about your life. you take care of her mentally, physically, financially and emotionally." sloane argued

"she has been raising hell after she realized i am here to see you. she said i'm a horrible father for leaving our daughter to come out here to hang out with some random girl." he admitted with full honesty. archie isn't fond of telling lies or telling half of the story. he wants sloane to always know what is going on and wants her to know the full truth

sloane scoffed, "okay i can be the 'random girl' all day but that doesn't mean she can just threaten you with child support. it is wrong and she is wrong for doing this to you."

what it all comes down to is that annie is upset that archie has officially moved on. she still wants him and makes that verbally clear whenever she sees him. seeing actual proof from reliable sources that he has moved on triggered her. she knew she had to hit below the belt.

so if putting him on child support is the case, then so be it. annie smiled after her phone call with archie knowing that he was royally pissed off at her.

"i know, i know. but everything will work out and be okay." archie said sounding optimistic despite this whole fucked up situation

"look, just go home. be with your daughter. we'll see each other whenever we can." sloane suggested

"i'm not leaving you. plus i get iris as soon as i get back. it is set and stone with annie." he assured her but sloane was feeling sick to her stomach

the fact that they were having a great co-parenting schedule a few weeks ago.... now annie is considering put a full-time onto child support just because he is talking to her makes her feel horrible.

"i'm going to go, let you get some rest." sloane announced with a shaky voice standing up from the chair. she quickly made her way to the door with archie gently grabbing her wrist

she refused to look at him, "don't leave like this sloane and don't blame yourself for any of this." archie begged her with a soft voice. he wanted her to stay. she was clearly upset but she needed to get out of there.

sighing loudly sloane shut her eyes in defeat, "i'll see you in the morning. have a goodnight." she announced. archie didn't want to see her go but he wasn't going to force her to stay. he knows this news is probably a lot for her to take in.

sloane unlocked the door then opened it with archie trailing in behind her. he stayed on the porch making sure she got back to her cabin safely not leaving until she made it inside

while trailing back, she saw ryan was outside on his porch. "is everything okay?" he asked.

"everything is fine." she dryly stated not saying anything else as she headed inside her cabin going straight back to her room letting darkness take over. ryan was confused wondering what had happened...

we are about to be at seven hundred reads.... i'm at a loss for words. i really do appreciate and love you all so much :''''')
