As the moon rose high into the night sky, Agnes slept soundly. The sound of glass shattering in the kitchen awoke her. Thinking it was her dog who had an accident while exploring, she walked to the door noticing it was closed. Walking closer questionably, the girl tripped over something large and fluffy. With a yelp, she fell to the ground, only to realise it was Lucky. She looked at him, and he looked at her slightly annoyed. Anyways, Agnes slowly opened the door to figure out what caused the crash in the kitchen. Lucky sniffed the air and seemed tense. She walked towards the kitchen, only a hallway away might I add, and peeked around the corner. A crazy looking guy in a bloodied lab coat was there silently picking up the dainty glass shards of Lucky's makeshift water bowl. He had a tube in his hands full of the liquid from the bowl, and he was now collecting samples from Lucky's plastic food bowl. They had forgotten to get a plastic one at the store for him. Besides the point, Lab Coat Guy, as Agnes nicknamed him, looked like Doc Brown from "Back to the Future' mixed with Shaggy from 'Scooby Doo'. Lucky ran back to Agnes's room before she slid her hand around the corner to grab the house phone off the charger. Her hand danced around on the counter before feeling the clunky plastic outer casing before snatching it. Now in her hands, the girl ran back into the room Lucky had previously gone to, and silently closed the door, praying the hinges wouldn't betray her. With a sigh of relief the door closed completely and she twisted the metal tab on the doornob to lock it. She ran into her closet and shut the door. She pulled out the phone, the buttons beeping quietly as she dialed '911'. 
"911, what's your emergency?", the lady said on the phone politly. "Um.. Yes my name is Agnes Farlan and I live on 282 Maple ave. And there is creepy guy in my kitchen. My parents and brother haven't woke up yet, and I'm freaking out", Agnes said quietly but frantically. "Police will arive soon, could you please explain what the man looks like?", the lady asked. Agnes explained quickly before hearing sirens in the distance. She could hear the panicked breathes of the stranger as he opened the window and escaped into the night.
