Agnes walked through the corridors of barking and squealing dogs. Few were pure bred, while most others breeds were so jumbled you could hardly tell what breeds they were made up of.
"Agnes, honey," her mother said annoyed with the howling and whineing, "please, hurry and choose a dog".
Agnes sighed and looked at many of the dogs. Some were large or small, rebellious or reserved.
From all the dogs in the room, one caught her eye. Agnes walked up to the dogs cage, taking note of it's cold, blue eyes that seemed to capture your soul.
"This is Lucky, he's a German Shepard Dog", the lady that escourted her and her mother through the loud corridors said, "and he certainly is lucky! Some neighbor boys found the poor guy in an abndoned house's basement".
Agnes's mother gasped dramatically and ranted of how careless people are these days.
"I want him", the brunette girl said. The dogs ears seemed to perk up at the statement.
"Ok!", the lady said,"Mrs. Farlan can you please fill out this paper work?".
Agnes's mother nodded and gravitated to the next room.
Agnes stayed and stared into the blue pools of her new dog.
