PERSONALITY: Belle has gained a significant amount of intelligence over the years due to her love of books, which have provided her with an elevated vocabulary, an active imagination, and an open mind. She is very confident and outspoken in her opinions and seldom likes being told what to do. Despite all this, she doesn't have very many friends. Her smarts and free-thinking attitude make her stand out from her fellow townspeople, who regard her as a little odd behind her beauty. Belle isn't concerned about her or others' appearances and is able to look past how people appear and see into their hearts.

Belle is somewhat a free woman for her time and refuses to be mistreated, undermined, humiliated, demeaned, or controlled by anyone. However, Belle willingly listens to, takes advice from, and admires her father Maurice since, throughout most of her life, he's the only person who has believed in her unconditionally. Belle is quite witty , from her reading, and is able to use this trait to her advantage and outsmart people.

BACKSTORY:
Belle grew up within her town, being used to getting weird comments for wanting to read and be different from the others. And that changed when one day in her early 20's when her father went off to a convention; she didn't hear about him getting there safely. She went to find him and ended up seeing her father captured for trespassing.

That was the day she gave up her freedom and life to be in her father's place. Ever since that, she fell in love with the captor, Prince Adam who was a beast but changed back when the curse was broke.

However since then Belle and Adam are no longer together as he was slowly returning back to his Beast ways and she couldn't help him anymore.

FAMILY: her father Maurice is the only family she knows of.
