Chapter ten
Lexi's POV
-------------------
I got home as fast as I could. I needed to tell Char what happened. More importantly, Char needed to know it was all okay now. She needed to know that she could come home to me again, and hold me close.
I was supposed to be the bad girl who protected her. But I needed her too. I needed her to calm me, to hold me, and to tell me that no matter who I was, she loved me.
"Hey Lex!"
I was pulled out of my sweet thoughts.
"Anden?"
He nodded, smiling as if he thought I'd forgotten him.
"You've been busy lately? I haven't seen you in a while."
Busy was an understatement.
"Yeah I have been."
I didn't want to tell anyone else about my lifestyle. It was in the past now. As much as I regretted keeping it from him, it has to be done. The past can stay the past. Now I'm focused on building my future.
"Don't worry. I'm going to be less busy from now on. I'm sure the three of us will have plenty of time to hang out."
He smiled, nodding.
I was happy we could still be friends. Anden was a really nice guy. I guess we just weren't meant to date. It was partly my fault too, but it didn't work out either way.
Me and Char still had to tell him we were dating. Were we dating? I don't know. It wasn't official yet, but I can fix that.
I hopped on my beautiful red motorcycle, shoving my helmet on too.
I couldn't belive it.
I must have over thought like, alot. It was easier than I expected. It was over and done with. I knew it wasn't the end, my former clients would come looking for me. But I could fix that. The worst was over.
Hopefully.
I drove to Demi's house, without texting her, nor Char. I wanted it to be a suprise. I wanted to show up, and get her on my motorcycle, and take her home.
I'm sure Demi would be okay with driving Char's stuff home.
I walked up the steps to her house, feeling a bit queasy. From excitement of course!
I hit the doorbell, waiting anxiously.
I heard some stumbling around, and finally the door swung open.
Demi had short brown hair, in a pixie cut. She wore large red hoop earrings. She was kinda into a retro style.
But today she looked off. Her hair was a bit messy, and the bandana she usually wore over her head was missing.
I passed it off, because it wasn't my business.
"Hi Lexi! You must be here for Char?"
I gave her a big smile, and nodded.
"Right. She's in her room. You can go get her."
She moved the side, revealing the super messy living room.
I walked down the hall slowly, unsure which room Char was staying in.
My hands shook, as I came to the last door. The only one that was closed.
I knocked lightly, without saying anything. Didn't want to ruin the suprise.
I heard no reply, or anyone ask who it was.
Instead, the door opened a crack. I saw one of Char's eyes peek through.
"AH!"
She squealed loudly, before flinging the door wide open.
"You're here!"
She leaped into my arms, almost knocking me down.
"Of course I am. I'm here to take you home"
We went into the living room to let Demi know we were leaving.
"A - Are they done spraying the house?"
Char sent me a desperate look.
That must have been the lie she told Demi.
"No, they will be by tomorrow though. I just thought we could check into a hotel room"
I sent her a small wink.
Char seemed a bit in a rush.
She kinda dragged me out of there.
"Oh god. Thank goodness you came just then!"
She gushed once we were away from the house.
I gave her a questioning look.
"Demi and her boyfriend were making out in the living room! I didn't know if they were gonna...well you know..uhm..yeah do the nasty. I was kinda scared so I hid in my room. I'm guessing before they could do the deed, you showed up."
I chuckled lightly.
"Eh, I mean if they did do it, then you would have been able to hear it anywhere. That house is tiny."
I gave her a smirk.
"EW no!"
Ah,how innocent of her..
"It's good to have you back, Char."
She smiled at me, looking up with those big blue eyes.
Oh, how I'd missed those.
"I missed you Lexi."
"I know, sugar. It's okay. I'm not letting you go again. We're okay now."
I used my best soothing voice.
We finally arrived at the hotel.
Char's POV
-----------------
Once we get up to the penthouse, the one we were in before, Lexi goes to the bathroom to freshen up.
She never says that, so I'm a bit suspicious.
I grab my purse, and dig into it, lookin for my new lipstick. I had bought it using some money Demi gave me. It was fucia. I bought a lipstick of this same shade a few years ago. My mother told me it made me look like a hooker.
I chuckled at the memory.
Maybe that's the look I was going for...
I slathered it on, making sure the color popped.
I wanted Lexi to know I could be bad too. I wanted to show her who's boss.
Well she's boss but..um....
I just wanna show off, ok!
I nearly fell when I heard the door click behind me.
In the mirror, I could see her. She had changed.
She now sported a light grey tank top, and really short shorts.
"What's that on your lips?"
She asked, her voice deep and husky. She inched closer, and closer.
"My new lipstick. It's Fucia."
She smirked, taking the last few steps towards me. I could feel her hot breath on my neck. Her hands snaked up to my shoulders, rubbing them intensely.
"Hmm,I don't know if I like it"
She whispered, leaning into my ear.
"I was told it made me look like a hooker"
She let out a small chuckle.
"No, my little Char is innocent. I like her thay way. She is so much more hot thay way"
Hope y'all enjoyed.
