"Thanks, Vikk. I knew I could count on you." Mum came out and said "Now that you know about your sister..would you mind babysitting her?"

"You're joking right?" I ask

"Oh..oh yeah, haha, totally..."

"For fucks sake, You weren't...
She's your responsibility and you only just had her! You can't always go and dump her on us just because you want to party!"

"I'm sorry okay?"

"Sorry doesn't cut it, mum." Silence.
"Sure whatever. Let's go. But if she's in danger and you know it you call me. Straight away! Or I swear.. Got it?"

"Y-Yeah..." and with that, she left

"I thought you'd be up." Simon said, coming out the door frame of the kitchen. "Why you in the kitchen though?"

I sighed "I dunno..."
He grabbed a chair, putting it next to me sitting down. I stayed silent, still looking through my pictures in my memory box. "Wait, is that us?" Simon asked.

I smiled "Yeah."

"You're a good sister."

"What makes you say that?" I asked

"The way you looked out for Hope like that. I'm a useless brother. Wouldn't even tell you you had a sister.. Or that I was your brother and about dad.."

"Hey, Simon, I know you meant well, it's okay."

"But I didn't.. I tried! The first time I found out but Josh cut me off and I didn't see you the rest of the day.."

"Simon I..." I didn't know what to say

"Look just.. go back to bed. Goodnight." He says bluntly
