chapter one
Sadie looked longingly out the window, her tail dropping sadly it was a rainy day, she usually liked those, but her housefolk wern't letting her out. She always tried to go outside to look at the patrol of cats that always past by her house, she wondered what they did and who they were. Sadie wanted to follow them one day and see what they were up to, but she wasn't brave enough, but that wasn't the only reason she wanted to go outside, the other cat her housefolk and gotten constantly annoyed her and joked about her obsession with the forest cats. Sadie looked over at her housefolk the tag on her light blue jingling slightly, her housefolk shook their heads, "not today"
Sadie thought sadly.
The next day Sadie woke up to a light layer of somthing white on the ground, and it was also falling from the sky! Sadie couldn't care less as the white stuff stuck to her fur, her housefolk had finally let her out. She lept up to her spot on the fence and wachted for the patrol of cats. she was about to leave, thinking it was to early or the white stuff and kept them away when she heard the mews of nearby cats. There were only two which was weird, but she didn't care. Soon a golden furred she-cat and a black she-cat with white spots walked by her fence. The black and white cat was much smaller than the golden one, "so that's poppy" the smaller cat said, pointing her nose toward a small flower "yes, why don't you get the seeds and then catch up" the golden cat said the small cat nodded and turned to the flower. The black and white cat hesitated as if she'd seen somthing out of place and Sadie realized that she was probably visible especially with her ginger coat against the white stuff. Sheet of the fence quickly and went right back inside.
Two days later the white stuff was all gone and as much as Sadie would've liked to be outside enjoying the day of sunshine, April was being Rude to her again, and not letting her go outside.
She ignored April and let her gaze wandered outside were there was the black and white cat! What how did she get here Sadie thought the small cat was gesturing with her tail that she should come outside it was finally her chance to talk to a forest cat and maybe even join them and April was going to ruin it. "I just think it's wierd that-" "yeah whatever" Sadie interuppted "just let me go outside" April looked surprised that Sadie wasn't arguing but let her pass. Sadie ran outside, waiting for April to go into the other room before leaping over the fence to meet the cat who could lead her to her future.
