The final week in May has Rory Gilmore desperate to find her stepdad Luke immediately with news involving her sudden exit from all of their lives !

She tries to check his hotel , but learns he checked out overnight .

Her grandmother Emily has no idea where he could be.

Her father Christopher feels he may have a idea ..

He recalls suggesting to Luke that maybe a road trip will do him some good !

Rory worries about her family's state of mind .

Luke is hitch hiking when he is given a ride with a mystery woman who is heading to New Orleans , Louisiana ..

Feeling lonely , he accepts the generous offer .

After a hour they break over to a delightful restraunt where they share a Supreme Nachos Deluxe Platter & a diet soda .

" I think you may be my lucky charm , what say you help me get my tour on the road and you have a way of having roof over your head after all a sweet hunk like you shouldn't be hitch hiking by himself ! "
