I
"Here we go," I say I myself with a cheerful smile on my face. I lay on the green grass on top of one of the rolling hills. I put my arms around my head and push myself to forward down the hill.
I can only imagine what I look like. A twirling mess as I make my way downwards thanks to gravity. My golden hair getting grass in it and my sun dress reviving grass stains.
I don't care for them though as I laugh at the bottom. It's my favorite type of laugh, so free and light. Like the mockingbird's songs.
"Golddie!" I hear my mother call. "Golddie! Where are you?"
I stand up and wipe away some grass on my dress. "Over here mother!" I yell from across the garden. My legs carry me through the lucious flowers to my mother who wears a frown and forward brows.
"Golddie..." She taunts, yapping her foot.
I mentally roll my eyes at the woman. I dare not do it in front of her. Only God and I known what happens behind closed doors.
"I know, I know," I say shaking my hand at her. I don't need her to say anything more I already know it by heart.
"No-"
"-rolling down hills, no going outside the garden, no getting dirty."
That shuts her up. "Well, Goldie it looks like you learned something. Go-"
"-wash up. I know." I walk past her and I hear her sigh. It almost makes me stop but I don't. I know that sigh. It's something that she was going to say but decided to keep it to herself.
I wonder what it is?
