So I just finished watching the mystery spot. And it made me raise a question, like when Dean died on the wednesday and like he was dead for 6 months.

Gabriel said Dean was in Hell... so for 6 months Dean was in hell, which is 60 years... and he didn't break.

But when he was sent back to Hell, he broke in 3 months, 30 years.

What I don't get is, what was Gabriel trying to achieve then besides teaching Sam a lesson?

Or was Dean actually in hell?
