> Since the death of her entire family, Thea (Now Rhea) has been plagued with nightmares every night. Every time she shuts her eyes she sees them, and she has not slept soundly since their death. She tries not to think about them as much as possible, so she buries herself in her schoolwork, and her security systems, working into odd hours into the night and until she physically can't keep herself awake anymore.
When she's not working, she goes to parties, drinking as much as she can and not quite remembering (nor caring) what she did the night before. She is not afraid of being reckless, and does anything to get a thrill.. to feel something again.
Although she herself is reckless, she tends to look after others when she can, and speaks up if she sees them doing something that can harm them. She can be quite a mother hen when it comes to looking out for others, but other than that, she prefers to be alone in most settings. Aside from the occasional hookups, she doesn't like to have relationships with any meaning.
She is known to have a short temper, and will lash out about the smallest things. You can ever be too sure if you catch her on a good day or not, and, that's fine by her. It's much better for everyone to keep their distance.
If ever asked about her family, she shuts down for a while, and will absolutely not answer the subject. She especially hates talking about her twin sister, and don't ask about her necklace. It's the only thing she has left of her after her house burned down.

BACKSTORY

☞︎ Raised in Antartica, Thea lived a simple life. Her family never had much, but they always made do. They were always happy, incredibly close, and her parents always tried to make birthdays special, keeping much of their real troubles hidden from them until she was older. What little money they had, her parents put into her and her sibling, making sure they had access to tutors, as it was their goal that they would someday become peacekeepers, and have a better life for themselves. While not working in the factory, her mother would teach her self defense, and go on runs together to build up her endurance. Eventually, Thea picked up Gymnastics since involvement in sports was to be expected as a child of Antarctica, and she excelled at it. She was good enough to go to the Olympics, but she had to quit to support her family. Around the age of 14, she started to notice the leaks in the ceiling of her home, and how her mother and father seemed to go without meals from time to time. Without letting her parents know, she got her first job, and quit gymnastics and started to help out more around the house.
At 15, her father was injured in a work accident, and had to quit working. A few months later, on her 16th birthday, her mother started getting ill and she had to take on another job to support the family. From there, things only got worse. Before long, the illness spread to her father, and then finally to her twin. By the time she was 17, they were all gone. One. After. The. Other. While at their funeral, her home burned down in a fire, and she lost everything, having to move to an apartment. The peacekeepers said  
it was an electrical fire.
Overcome with grief, and having nothing left of her family but memories, Thea's grades dropped in school. Without her family, she became a shell of herself. She didn't know how to keep on, until academy applications came out, and she remembered her mothers dream. She threw herself back into schoolwork, doing everything she could to catch the academy's attention, hoping that if she got in, all her mothers work when she was younger wouldn't have been in vain.  By a miracle, nearly two years after her mothers death, she was accepted into the academy for surveillance.

Strengths

☞︎"Tough as Nails" - after the death of her family, she didn't quite understand why the sickness didn't get her too. She jokes that after that," nothing can kill her", and she handles pain well.
☞︎ Endurance - aside from a high pain tolerance, she has high endurance. She can run for hours at a time, and stays in training for longer than her classmates.
☞︎ intelligence - although she might not have as much growing up as her classmates, she has had the natural ability to learn things quickly. After reading something once, she can usually figure things out on the first try, and solve math problems in her head. (As long as she's sober).
☞︎ Flexible- after years of training as a gymnast, she is flexible and able to dodge attacks swiftly. She can do flips if needed, and likes to do it in her training to spice things up from time to time, especially when going up against new opponents.

Weaknesses

☞︎Stability- she is not exactly a stable person, and can lash out against others easily. You can never be sure what version of her you will get depending on the day. Sometimes she is reserved, muttering to herself. Other times she is out on the training floor, asking anyone for a duel.
Lack of sleep- due to her frequent nightmares, she never gets enough sleep, sometimes causing her to be a letdown to her classmates, and fall asleep during lectures. Sometimes it is hard for her to distinguish what is real and what is not. She will sleepwalk from time to time if she falls asleep in class.
Public Speaking - she hates being in the spotlight, having attention all on her, and therefore she hates public speaking. It causes her anxiety and she'll avoid it at all costs. Sometimes she'll throw up if she has to speak in front of too many people.
Anger - there is a lot of anger stemming from the death of her parents and loosing her home, and therefore if provoked she can't control her temper. She has gotten in trouble numerous times for her lack of self control, and the therapy doesn't help. She doesn't think she will ever be better.
