Ch. 5 Mitsuba
~Y/n pov~
I was just wandering around the school hallways as usual.
Nene was cleaning the bathroom and Amane was watching her but I decided I wanted to go on a walk.
I turned the corner to see Kou and a boy with pink hair.
Is he a ghost?
I noticed Tsukasa out of the corner of my eye.
He floated towards the pink haired boy and grins at him.
"Leaving without even telling me?"
Then, Tsukasa shoved his hand through the boys body.
He pulled his hand out a few seconds later, leaving a gaping hole.
The pink haired ghost gasped in shock, collapsing to the ground with a hole in through his torso.
Kou just stood there shocked about what just happened.
It all happened too fast.
It was terrible so then why? Why was I not scared of Tsukasa?
Kou placed his hand on Tsukasa's shoulder, "Stop it."
No one had noticed me standing there yet.
"Who the hell are you?" Kou gasped, "Get your hands off.... my friend Mitsuba!"
"Oh?" Tsukasa stared at him blankly.
Kou was whacked away.
"I'm an apparition." Tsukasa lifted Mitsuba up, "I grant whoever summons me a wish and take one thing in payment. Amane grants wishes for the living people on this life, and I grant them for the dead people in the next. He wished, and I answered."
Black smoke appeared and a radio appeared.
I just stood rooted to my spot. What was I meant to do?
Even if I wanted to, I couldn't fight Tsukasa. I was weak.
I didn't know how to go into my ghost form either. In my ghost form I'd probably be more powerful.
"Broken neck of the entrance." Sakura's voice came out of the radio.
Mitsuba's head fell back limply as he gasped in shock.
"He's a ghost with a broken neck who haunts the junior high entrance. He's a very lonely ghost, so he might try to talk to you." Sakura continued.
It was then I realised... are the broadcasting club making all the rumours?
"Hey, have you forgotten me?"
Mitsuba grabbed his head in pain.
"If you can't answer by saying his name, then... he'll break your neck and make you just like him."
Mitsuba collapsed to the floor trembling.
Mitsuba's body completely changed until he was unrecognisable.
I froze in shock.
The disfigured boy lunged towards his friend and started to attack him.
It was then my body finally moved.
"Kou." I yelled racing towards him.
Hands wrapped around my waist, stopping me from running to him.
"Not so fast, N/n." Tsukasa's childish voice whispered to me.
I struggled for a few seconds before giving up.
Tsukasa smirked as I stopped struggling.
He floated over to the window to watch, holding me tightly in his arms as I sat in his lap.
I tensed up as I watched the scene before me.
After a bit of struggling, I managed to turn on my side to look away from the scene.
For some reason, I felt like my energy was draining.
My body started to feel weak.
I laid my head against Tsukasa's chest and everything went black.
"Night night!"

~Amane pov~
I could tell something wasn't right.
Yashiro followed me when I abruptly stood up and left the bathroom.
Hakujoudai led me through the hallways.
I saw Kou being strangled by an apparition.
Quickly jumping into action, I slashed it away.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Tsukasa holding an unconscious Y/n.
I tensed slightly as a frown made it's way onto my face.
Tsukasa placed Y/n down gently on the window sill and his eyes lit up as he saw me.
"Amane!" He leapt into my arms, hugging me tightly.
I cautiously brought my hands up to hug him back.
"Tsukasa, stop." I told him.
He tilted his head at me, "Stop what?"
"You know what I mean..."
He looked saddened at my angry expression.
Tsukasa huffed, "Why are you being so mean?"
I saw tears build up in his eyes.
Sighing, I brought him into another hug, gently patting his back.
He brightened up again, "I'm taking Y/n for a little while, since you're a meanie!"
I knew I couldn't stop him so I just watched as he picked Y/n up and held her close.
They both disappeared with black smoke.
Kou was knelt beside the apparition.
Tears leaked out of his eyes as he stared at his friend.
I walked over to him, "I'm so sorry."
"Sorry won't fix this!" He yelled angrily.
I walked away and left Kou alone.
Yashiro had been stood there the whole time with wide eyes.
Silently, I floated back in the same direction I came and past Yashiro.
She grabbed my hand as I went past, stopping me in my tracks.
"Hanako, where did he take Y/n?" Yashiro cried, "I want my friend back."
"It'll be fine. We'll probably see her tomorrow."
Yashiro wouldn't accept that answer.
"What's he going to do to her?"
"If you're worried about her safety you shouldn't be. Me and Y/n know Tsukasa better than anyone. He would never harm her so don't worry?"
That was true. He was violent but the one person he never harmed was Y/n.
So, where did it all go wrong?
I just want to go back to when we were all alive...and happy.
I don't need to forgive Tsukasa because I already did... a long time ago. What's going to happen now that Y/n had come back to us?
Can it be like before?

I sat on the bathroom windowsill. It was lonely.
Yashiro and Kou had gone home.
And today, Y/n wasn't here like she usually was, so I was lonely.
Staring out the window, I sighed.
My eyes were glassy from the crying I did just moment ago.
Sniffling, I wiped the tears off my cheeks and stared up at the stars.
I want to go stargazing with Y/n and Tsukasa again.
It'll be like when we were alive.

~Y/n pov~
I felt warm and comfortable...it was nice.
Cracking my eyes open, I took in my surroundings.
Sitting up, I felt slightly dizzy.
I realised I was in the broadcasting room, laying on the sofa.
It was much more comfortable than the window of the bathroom floor.
There were blankets on me...someone had put me here.
That's when I remembered all that had happened earlier.
Did Tsukasa knock me out?
I look beside me to see Tsukasa next to me, curled up in a ball asleep.
As soon as I laid back down, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist as he snuggled into me, nuzzling his face into my neck.
"Tsukasa?"
He wriggled a bit but didn't wake up.
I poked his cheek a few times.
The disturbance only made him press himself closer to me, seeking my warmth.
After a few more attempts at waking him up, he finally woke up.
"What?" His voice came out softly as he yawn.
Tilting his head to look at me, he seemed to wake up immediately when he saw me.
"N/n, you're awake!" He cheered, still sounding sleepy.
How could a ghost be sleepy? Why do I even sleep?
I'm a ghost so I don't need it, right? Or maybe maintaining this human form makes me tired so I need sleep.
I sat up, leaning my back against the arm of the sofa.
Since Tsukasa was clinging to me, when I sat up I pulled him with me.
There was barely enough room for us both to sit there side by side so Tsukasa shifted so he was sat in my lap facing me.
"What happened?" I asked him.
He smiled, "Oh, nothing much~ Oh yeah! I saw Amane!"
Tsukasa's face lit up as he started rambling about Amane.
I stopped him by placing my hands on his shoulders.
He stared at me expectantly, waiting for me to say something.
"About my memories....I remember everything."
"Really? That's great!"
"I think that you should apologise to Amane...although I'm sure he has probably already forgave you."
He tilted his head, "Eh, why?"
"That's what you do when you've done something wrong." I told him, "Though to show him you mean the apology maybe you should give him a gift."
Tsukasa looked intrigued, "What kinda gift?"
I leant closer and whispered something in his ear.
He nodded excitedly and jumped up.
"Not now." I chuckled, "It's still dark out, maybe in the morning."
Tsukasa's shoulders slumped, "Aww, but I wanted to do it now!"
"And I wanna sleep." I stated laying back down.
"Fine." Tsukasa huffed, laying down beside me.
Well, more like half on top of me.
I turned a bit to get comfortable and then drifted off to sleep.

A/n I didn't really know what to write for this chapter but I tried to make it long. The next chapter might be around the same length as this one too.
