Third Person POV
"Ben cannot talk to you right now. He is busy discussing wedding details with his husband to be."
Bright couldn't believe what he just heard. He stared at his blank screen. That fucking uncle boyfriend of Ben had cut the call before Bright could make a comeback at him.
No, Bright was not going to stand for this rude behavior of that old man. Ben needed rescuing from him. If Ben entered into a permanent relationship with that rude old man, Ben was in for trouble and tragedy for the rest of his life.
Bright stormed out of his condo unit and went down to the building parking area.
He got into his car and turned on his engine.
He revved up his car as he drove furiously towards Ben's residence.
S c r r r e e e e e e c h h h B A A A N N N G !!!
Bright stepped hard on his brakes.
Too late he slammed into the back of the car in front of him.
Although the sound was deafening it looked like the impact was not that serious.
The affected motorist stopped his car.
Bright saw the motorist step out. Bright stepped out of his car as well.
"P'Bright!"
"Win!"
"Ohmygahd Win! I'm so sorry! I will of course take full responsibility for this accident!" Bright was beside himself with apologies.
A/N: The image above does not belong to me. It belongs to the person who uploaded it on the internet.
For those who might not know him, his name is Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn. He played the role of Tine in the BL series "2Gether"
"Are you alright?" Bright asked, his face full of concern.
Win stretched his hands and examined them and then looked down at his feet.
"My fingers are intact and my feet are still part of me," Win replied. "I guess I'm alright."
"Don't joke around like that. I'm probably more shaken than you are," Bright said, holding out his hands.
Win noted that Bright's hands were shaking uncontrollably.
Win leaned forward and gave Bright a quick hug.
"We're both okay," Win assured Bright.
"I will report this accident to my car insurance company so that they can take care of the damage to your car," Bright said.
"Okay," said Win.
Win was about to turn away to walk back to his car when something made him turn back.
"By the way, why were you in such a hurry?" Win let his curiosity get the better of him. "And why was your focus not on the road? Something the matter?"
Bright's face turned a deep red.
Instead of answering Win's question, Bright asked him, "Are you on your way to somewhere or are you on your way home?"
"I'm on my way home," Win replied.
"Have you had dinner yet?" Bright asked.
"I'm on my way home to have dinner," Win replied.
"Then can I treat you to dinner?" Bright asked.
"Can I take a rain check on that offer?" Win asked.
"You're not available this evening?" Bright countered.
It was Win's turn to blush.
"I ... I ..." Win stammered. "I promised a friend that I was gonna cook dinner for him tonight."
"I see," Bright said, taking care not to let disappointment show on his face or his voice.
After an awkward pause, Bright asked, "Is he anyone I know?"
A/N: The image above does not belong to me (but I wish he did! Joke!) It belongs to the person who uploaded it on the internet.
For those who might not know him, his name is Joss Way-ar Sang-ern. He is one of GMMTV's actors.
"No," Win replied. "I have to go now."
Win was about to turn away again when he remembered something.
"You haven't answered my question about taking a rain check on your offer for dinner," said Win.
"Sure," Bright replied. "Just call me whenever you're free."
"Okay, thanks! Bye now!" Win said, turning away for good this time and stepping into his car.
Bright stood watching Win drive away, feeling unexpectedly lonely.
Suddenly his desire to go to Ben's residence to confront Ben melted away. He walked back to his car and got inside and made his way back to his condo unit.
Bright could not help wondering who was the lucky guy for whom Win was going to cook dinner.
