So one of my best friends is going to a different college.

I've never managed to maintain a friendship with someone outside of my school before.

There's this LGBTQ+ youth club that I went to one time with them, but it was from 7 till 9pm and everyone was really loud and sweary and it got me derealising real bad, so I don't want to go back but at the same time it might be the only place I can be with them.

I'm so scared to loose them but if I try to hang on then I'm going to loose them sooner or later anyways because I'm too socially awkward and anxious but I really care about them.

Basically, do I say goodbye now and rip off the bandaid so it hurts less, or try to hold on to them for as long as possible?
