3 | I think I deserve a prize

This kid sitting next to me is so annoying.

First, he kept talking to me while I was trying to listen to the lecture, then he wouldn't fucking stop tapping the desk when I didn't give him a pen.

I can't wait to get out of this class. He finally stopped bothering me when I gave him a pen to stop annoying me.

Once the hour was up and the professor dismissed us I had an hour before my next class, so I went to the food court. I didn't eat yet today and I'm starving.

"Hey." Someone said behind me and I glanced over my shoulder at the guy people were making way for, only to see the annoying guy from class.

I think he said his name was Nate?

He was hot, I won't deny that. I wonder if he's a player because I love the players.

They're all just players in a game, my game and I'm the coach. Nobody could break me.

All the players in the past thought they could, but they were so wrong.

"What are you doing here?" I ask and he shrugs.

"Want to eat together?" He asks as he brushes a hand through his hair and I nod.

"Sure," I said with my smile.

"So, mystery girl..." He started when I cut him off.

"You call me mystery girl?" I ask with a laugh and he nods with a devilish smirk.

"Well, it's not like you've told me your name." He said and I thought about it. I forgot that I told him it wasn't his business.

"I'm Sabrina," I reply as we wait in line for Panda Express.

"Cool, I'm Nate." He says and I nod.

"I know," I say with my own smirk.

"So, what brings you here?" He asks and I just stare at him blankly.

"Isn't it obvious?" I ask and he looks confused.

"Yes?" He says more like a question and I laugh.

"I'm here to get food," I reply motioning to the line we're in.

"No, I meant to this town." He said and I shook my head.

"I know, I was just messing with you," I said as we were next in line.

"I'm just here because I like that it's a small town," I said because it's best for people not to know everything about me.

"That's cool and it is a small town. I mean, I've known most of the people at this college since I was in pre-K." He says looking around.

"That's cool," I reply right before I order my food.

"Hi, what can I get you?" The lady serving asks.

"Can I have a bowl with fried rice and orange chicken?" I ask as she starts filling it up.

"Sure. Next." She says as she hands it to the other lady at the register.

I pay for my meal after she tells me the price and start to walk off when I feel someone catch up to me.

"Hey, you just left." He said as I sat at a table.

"Shit, sorry. I'm not used to hanging out with people." I say because it's the truth.

I never really stay in the same place long enough to make friends either, but I don't say that.

"It's fine." He says and I nod as I take the cover off of my bowl.

"Hey, Nate." Some girl says as she comes over and sits at the table with us. She didn't come alone though, because one other girl came with her and they both surrounded him.

"Why didn't you sit next to us baby?" She asks running her hand down his arm and he just smiles. He's definitely a player.

"Sorry Vi, I was just welcoming the new girl." He says and she sits on his lap.

"Oh! There's a new girl, where is she?" She asks looking past me.

"Hey bitch, it's been nice to meet you too," I said rolling my eyes as I continued to eat, unbothered.

"What did you just say to me slut?" She hissed and I shrugged.

"I said it was nice to meet you too bitch. Since you know, I'm the new girl." I said and Nate was looking at me like I was crazy, so I winked at him making her even madder.

"Okay, first of all. Nate is mine and you are messing with the wrong girl slut." She said and I stood up.

"No. I don't follow your rules or anyone else's so you can go choke on a dick." I said as I grabbed my food and turned to go throw it away before I stopped.

"Oh wait, you already do that," I said with a smirk before walking away.

After I threw my food away I started walking out of the food court when I heard the slut whining.

"Baby! Did you hear what she said to me!" She said sounding like she was going to cry and it was so hard not to laugh.

Luckily I got out of there before her whining would burst my eardrums.

I was about to walk towards my next class when someone stopped me.

"Mystery girl!" I heard some guy who wasn't Nate yell down the hall and I turned around.

"Hey, you're the guy that tried to help me out last night," I said with a smile.

"Huh, oh yeah. I found you." He said out of breath since he ran all the way over here.

"So I think I deserve a prize." He said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"For what?" I asked as I took a step closer towards him.

"Well, I found you without knowing your name or number." He said like he just made a huge accomplishment.

"I think you do deserve a prize," I said smirking and he grinned as he took a step closer towards me.

"I think a kiss would be a nice prize." He says and I grin as I see Nate coming out of the food court looking around like he's searching for someone, probably for me.

"I think so too hot stuff," I say as I lean in to kiss him and that's when Nate spots us. His eyes widen as I wink at him.

Just as my lips brush Darren's, I turn my head and kiss his cheek. In that same moment, Nate makes his way next to us.

"See you later boys," I say with a smirk as I turn around and walk away from both of the boys whose jaws are on the ground.

That was fun.
