Another day, another akuma is defeated again as the heroes jump from roof to roof, joking around as always. They still haven't claimed the stolen miraculous from Monarch and they have no idea where they are. If only Ladybug's obsession for Adrien didn't get the best of her, none of this would have happened. Or if Adrien didn't let Felix manipulate him again, this wouldn't have happened. For now, they only managed to get the rabbit miraculous. Alix now stays hidden in the timelines with the rabbit miraculous in case something goes wrong, she can fix the past. Soon enough the two heroes stopped at some rooftop.

"Well milady, it seems we did put up a good catfight but still no miraculous. I really don't like this at all and I so wanna get my claws on Felix for betraying all of us" Cat Noir growled, clawing the chimney wall in anger.

"He tricked me for the last time. I so wanna punch him again" Ladybug clenched her fists hard.

"His cousin will be angry and disgusted. What made him change into a bad guy?" Cat Noir still clawing.

"That's what I'm wondering. He's one bad dog" Ladybug said.

"Cats don't like dogs," Cat Noir said.

"How couldn't I see through his disguise this time? I'm such a fool" Ladybug sat down.

"His acting skills really improved" Cat Noir sat next to her.

"I should talk to the real Adrien and ask him for a code word to distinguish," Ladybug said.

"Sounds like a brilliant idea" Cat Noir replied.

"I should head there now," Ladybug said.

Cat Noir has to make an excuse before she tries to get to his mansion, "I'm gotta go too, Milady. See you soon" He ran the other way.

"Good luck, Kitty" Ladybug headed for the mansion.

Cat Noir was already there and he transformed back to Adrien, pretending he's in the shower, "There, now to wait for Ladybug" He got out and sat on the couch.

"Are you sure you're moving on to Marinette?" Plagg asked and ate his cheese.

"Well, it's worth a try. I know she's quite shy" Adrien said.

Plagg hid in Adrien's pocket since Ladybug is here by coming through the open window.

"Hey there Adrien" She greeted him.

"Welcome Ladybug. What brings you here?" He pretends to not know.

"I was wondering if your cousin ever disguised as you again, how can I tell if it's him and not you?" Ladybug asked.

"Oh, that's something. One thing I know is that my cousin doesn't understand my life or how I feel. Maybe a code word can do" Adrien said.

"A code word? Hmmm," Ladybug thought.

"If you say this, I'll say this" Adrien said.

"Brilliant. I'll say blossom" Ladybug said.

"And I'll say Sunshine," Adrien said.

"Blossom sunshine. That works for me" Ladybug said.

"Good. So next time you'll see him disguised test who is who with that code word" Adrien said.

"You got it. Thanks for the advice, Adrien" Ladybug thanked him.

"You're welcome, Ladybug," Adrien said.

"Well, I gotta go recharge. See you later" Ladybug heard her miraculous beep.

"Tomorrow is a new day," Adrien said to her.

"Yeah, have a nice evening" Ladybug jumps out the window before time's up.

The next day, Adrien with his bodyguard was at the game store, looking for the new Miraculous Super Brawl game. It was like Black Friday came around.

"I'm really looking forward to playing it" Adrien searched for it.

His bodyguard was at the toys to play with the action figures of the new superheroes of Paris.

Soon enough he saw the stack of cases containing the new game.

"Ah yes, jackpot" He reached for one and took a closer look at the case and saw that the game has more levels and more characters.

Suddenly, an explosion was heard and the ceiling collapsed.

"Take cover!" The store clerk shouted and Adrien ran out with a few others before the ceiling collapsed.

Adrien looks up seeing Ladybug fighting a new villain, "Get to safety! I'll hold him off!" Ladybug was using her yoyo like a shield to deflect one blast.

However, another blast from the villain caught her off when he increased the strength of the blast, sending her crashing at a car, "So prepare to perish, Ladybug!" The villain said.

Adrien didn't have time to transform, not in the open like this with people around, especially not in front of the villain. The villain charged another blast, forcing Adrien to rush toward Ladybug and shield her with his own body.

Ladybug regained consciousness and saw Adrien scream as the blast hits him right before it could hit her, "ADRIEN!!!" Ladybug gasped in horror.

"ADRIEN!!!" Monarch saw the whole thing through the akuma's vision and he had to reannounce the akuma off the victim before it does more damage. He has now indirectly hurt his own son, "Not Adrien" He said in disbelief.

At the scene, Ladybug found Adrien lying on the ground unconscious, "No, no, no! Adrien?! Adrien!" Ladybug tried to wake him up but got no response.

The bodyguard came near them, looking down in shame for not protecting Adrien again.

"It's not your fault. It was very brave of him to save my life. Meet me at the hospital" Ladybug carried the unconscious Adrien to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, Ladybug waited for the results of the injuries that Adrien sustained. Never in her entire life would he take the hit for her. Just like Cat Noir always sacrificed himself for her.

"Please let him be alive" She prayed for his safety.

"Miss Ladybug?" The doctor called her.

"Is he okay? Please tell me he's gonna make it!" Ladybug begged for a miracle.

"He's gonna be fine, but his injuries have sent him into a coma" The doctor dropped the bad news.

"A coma?!" Ladybug gasps.

"Unfortunately. We can't be sure when he's gonna wake up. It could take days or even weeks" The doctor said.

"Or years or eternity when I'm old!" Ladybug panicked.

"I'm sorry, but we're doing everything we can," The Doctor said.

"Can I see him?" Ladybug asked.

"This way" The doctor leads her to Adrien's room.

And there was Adrien, lying in bed with a bandage around his head. He was tied to life support to keep him alive during the coma, "Oh, god" Ladybug sobs that he's barely clinging to life.

"His vitals are stabilized and we still have a pulse," The doctor said.

"He saved me today" Ladybug held Adrien's hand.

"Oh, he also had a ring. It's best if you held onto it" The doctor gave her the silvery ring.

"I'll look after it" Ladybug held it and got near Adrien's face and kissed his cheek, "Be well soon, my prince"

Gabriel can't believe that he indirectly almost killed his son with an akuma victim. The bodyguard texted him that Adrien is in a coma and on life support.

Gabriel looked at Emilie in her pod, "Emilie, I'm sorry for what happened. But I won't lose him like I lost you" He said before texting back to the bodyguard.

The stolen kwamis did not like being abused by this monster but the ancient rule of whoever holds the miraculous, they can't escape. They were terrified that someone almost got killed today.

With Marinette, she kept the ring safe in her room, vowing to return it to Adrien once he's awake. Tikki knows that Adrien is the feline and without Cat Noir, Ladybug is all alone.

"What am I gonna do now? Adrien is in a coma and I can't do anything about it" Marinette sobbed.

"He had to save you," Tikki said.

"Why did he do that?" Marinette cried under her pillow.

"I honestly don't know," Tikki said.

"That monster is gonna pay for hurting him," Marinette said.

"Monarch or the Akuma victim?" Tikki asked.

"Monarch. He's gonna regret this" Marinette punched the mattress.

At the hospital, Adrien was still on life support and the doctors made sure the boy lives, or Gabriel will have the power to demand them to save him. What they don't know is that a ghost emerged out from the body.

"Where am I?" The ghost looks over the body.

"Oh no! No! No! No! I can't be dead!" He panicked but saw the heart monitor still beeping that his body is alive but barely clinging to life.

"Huh?" He had cat ears and a cat tail, "Plagg?"

No sign of Plagg anywhere. He was all alone and the doctors couldn't see him.

"Hello? I'm here!" He tried to call for him but no response. He soon noticed he wasn't wearing his ring, "Where's my ring?!" He got shocked.
