I write this as the first week of 2024 heads towards an end. I don't often make New Year's resolutions though maybe I should as far as this posting goes. And thus is to finish this posting once and for all. You may see why this may be somewhat of a big deal for me ...

In September of 2011, I wrote a short story that had been intended to be no more than one short story. I was yet unaware of Wattpad at the time though I had been posting to another story posting site. This site no longer exists. Reaction to the story on that site was quite positive with many asking as to if there would be more to it.

I had a second idea, a second situation I could put the main character in, though I wasn't going to write it, reaction was such that I thought, why not? So, in May of 2012, I wrote a second tale. Soon a third and fourth story came and out of nowhere ... Ghost of a Stranger had become a series, a series that just did not and does not want to end, no matter what I tried or try to do with it.

By the summer of 2018, there were sixteen tales in this series and at that, the series was still unfinished. Distraction got in the way, and the years began passing all the quicker, as it seems the older we get.

On the sixteen of February 2022, I had decided to return to this series and hopefully bring it to an end. That didn't quite happen though a seventeenth tale was completed. So the series went fairly quiet of late. Time to do something about that.

Some of these stories go to individual word counts of just over four thousand words. I originally had posted each of these stories to one part per tale, and despite those word counts, I am going to keep it in that format. Each episode posted in one part each.

Anyhow, for anyone who give this series a read, thank you for doing so and I hope you enjoy it.
