SYNOPSIS.

All her youth, Magdalene Lolan was held on a leash like a dog – never stepping out of line of the mighty and ancient dynasty, remain the star pupil of the Academy, be the perfect girl her father so desperately wanted her to be. When Magdalene turned fourteen the man that held her on the said leash died in a rebellion attack on the Capitol – a bomb in the market. A silly death for a man that considered himself to be a God.

Her mother told her that day – Magdalene, you must grow teeth now. Like a dog that was released from the leash that dangled around her throat like a necklace for her entire existence. And, becoming a mentor for the 10th annual Hunger Games felt like the flesh of a prey she needed to dig her newly grown teeth into.

DR. GAUL

You created a monster, do you know that?

MAGDALENE

(through tears) I tried to help a girl survive.

NOTES.

- Magdalene is the only daughter of Robert Lolan and Mary Lolan. The Lolan family is one of the richest families in the Capitol (rumours spread of just how bloody their money actually is). Magdalene absolutely despises that name because for what it stands for. She's the Heir to her family's money but doesn't want a penny from it. Like, not to make her sound like an ungrateful brat or anything but it's literally blood money. Like her father killed people to get to this point of filthy rich (officially speaking they're only rumours ofc). Even though her father had big expectations of her and practically made her life a living hell, Magdalene was a daddy's girl to her very core and his death shattered her. She's not so very close with her mother – Mary sees herself in Magdalene way too much and all the possibilities she never had but her daughter now does and she wants to throw it all away

- Magdalene is a star pupil!!! Straight As, extra activities and all. Like she so desperately wants to be at the top of her class. She's close with Sejanus because they're so very similar. Coriolanus despises her – he knows very well just how rich she is and he's always pissy about how much she actually talks about hating that. She's everything he wishes to be but can never grasp. But Coriolanus being Coriolanus, he kisses up her ass all. the. time. Because, let's face it, he's a mastermind in certain situations. He really goes after her like sending her signals that he "likes" her only because of her known influence

- she's assigned as a mentor in the 10th Hunger Games and it makes her violently sob. Sejanus gets his tribute before her and since she knows he just got a boy from the same district; Magdalene offers to swap their tributes. And because she has beef with literally every single student, Festus Creed argues that she is just doing it so she can win the Plinth prize by getting a stronger tribute assigned to her

- in my original plot, I created two OCs that belonged to District 13 and assigned one to Magdalene. You can change that – if you don't want to create this plotline – and assigned a tribute from the existing characters

- in any plotline, Magdalene's heart aches for her tribute. She's in the zoo 24/7, always giving them food and water and trying to get their trust. Her mother always nags her about it as well

- her tribute gets killed in the Games (obviously) and the guilt builds within her. The thing about Magdalene is that she never thought about her future. She was surprised she even made it to this point. She believes she can't be saved and doesn't know what she'll do in life because she feels so very lost in the world she considers cruel. She attempted to commit suicide a little over a year after her father was killed in a rebellion attack and only Coriolanus knows about it (besides her mother) because he manipulated her intro trusting him completely. After her tribute gets killed, Magdalene goes in the bathroom. She just stares in that mirror for what seems like ages and then breaks the glass and ends her life with it. Coriolanus finds her.

- because Magdalene was the only Heir to the Lolan fortune, Mary has no idea who to put it on now. She decides for Coriolanus because she knows he "cared" for her daughter just like he later gets the Plinth fortune. So, Coriolanus Snow is now FILTHY rich

- also, Magdalene is similar to Sejanus. She never once blamed the rebels for killing her father because she's aware of the situations within the Districts – the hunger, the poor living conditions, etc. She's always ridiculed for it because "your father was killed and you support rebellions???"

- Idk what else to add so feel free to comment any questions or message me!!
