*Kevin POV*

I watched as the group walked through the hallway, talking loudly and laughing.

As they passed by me, the leader of the group turned to look around.

He glanced right at me, but I knew that he wouldn't see me.

Nobody would.

As his eyes met mine, I felt a deep sadness coming from him, and I nearly cried myself.

Then one of his friends called out, "Hey, Avi!", and he turned back around.

I sighed, opening my locker.

Nothing will ever change, I thought.

I looked over at him sitting at the table near the door.

As I watched him, several of his thoughts entered my mind:

Everyone has someone...

But what about me?

Will I ever find someone?

I sighed, wishing I could go over to him.

But I knew that if I did, he wouldn't even notice.

So instead, I reached out with my mind, sending him a feeling of comfort and peace.

At his table, I saw him stiffen, but he calmed down quickly, and the sadness coming from him faded a bit.

I smiled to myself, glad that I could help him at least that much, but in my heart, I wished I could do more.

But I also knew that was impossible.

I mean, he didn't even know I existed.

I didn't blame him, though.

Who ever notices an invisible boy?

A/N: So, now we know a little bit about Kevin.
