Chapter 1
Hey, gurls!
Alright, I give up. The wait is over.
For those of you who commented, thanks a bunch, and sorry for putting y'all through torture.
Now, let's get this party started!
*Avi POV*
I traveled through the woods, faster than the wind... no, riding the wind.
I laughed, the sound coming out of my hawk's beak as easily as it would my human mouth.
This was freedom. Freedom to be who I was, without judgment, without fear.
Suddenly, I felt a sudden heaviness, and I looked to see chains appearing on my wings.
With my wings trapped, I started to fall, gaining speed as I plummeted out of the sky.
I twisted and fought against the bindings, terror holding me as tightly as these chains.
I was going to die...
...and then I woke up as my alarm clock went off, signaling that it was time to get ready for school.
I was in my human form, in bed, at home.
And there were no chains on any part of me.
I sighed with relief as I got out of bed.
Just another stupid dream, I thought.
As I got dressed, I felt the back of my neck tingle, and I couldn't help but feel like there was someone watching me.
I turned to look out the window, but I didn't see anyone there.
I shrugged, going back to what I was doing.

When I got to school, I immediately met up with my group of friends: Melanie, Todrick, Tyler, Troye, Scott, Mitch, Beyoncé (we called her Queen B, mostly as a joke), Kirstie, Esther, and Sia (she was a little shy).
"Hey, guys," I said, smiling.
"Avi," said Scott, "there's a bit of an issue here."
Then I saw that Melanie had tears in her eyes, and Sia was had a frown on her mouth (that was pretty much all anyone could see if her, due to the fact that she liked to wear a wig that hid her face).
"What happened?" I asked, and both girls turned to me.
"Tell Sia to stop being mean!"
Sia whispered something in response, and I leaned in to hear her words:
"She called me a crybaby."
I turned to look at Melanie, a frown on my face.
"Seriously, Melanie?"
Melanie developed a sudden interest in her locker.
I sighed.
"Sia," I told her, "just because Melanie decides to act like a basic b**ch doesn't mean that you have to be mean back to her."
Then I turned to face Melanie.
"And name-calling? You're not a little kid now."
She looked at the ground, then muttered an apology.
"So!" said Troye, and he started talking about something else.
I was glad of the subject change.

Later, at lunch, I got the feeling that I was being watched again.
I tried to ignore it, but the feeling wouldn't go away.
"Are you okay, Avi?" Tyler asked, concern on his face.
"I'm fine, Tilly," I replied.
"Hey!" Troye protested, "Only I'm allowed to call him that!"
Tyler laughed, wrapping an arm around his boyfriend's waist and pressing a kiss to the side of his head.
"Get a room, you two!" Todrick said, and we all laughed as the two of them blushed.
I smiled as I ate, but I couldn't help but envy them a little bit.
Everyone has someone.
Tyler and Troye have each other.
Scott and Mitch are together.
Kirstie has her boyfriend... oh, right, Jeremy.
But what about me?
Will I ever find someone?
A/N: So, how was that?
BTW, should I continue with Avi, or add a different POV next chapter?
By the way, thanks for the ideas for group members.
Luv you all! *blows kisses*
