I march towards the door, with  clenched fists and annoyance seeping from my pores. Coming to a stop, I glare at the wooden rectangle before descending my fist into a flurry of angry knocks.

My knuckles pinch in protest at the hardness until finally, the door is pulled open. I'm ready to unleash my rage on the ignorant so and so behind this door when I freeze.

I can feel the blood drain from my face as the aggravated expression evaporates. My hand falls to my side, slack.

"You." I breathe, unable to believe who is stood in front of me.

The corner of his lips curl and eyes sparkle in the same way they did all those years ago.

"Hey, ---" He smiles.

My lips part as I suck in a breath. The shock of seeing him again has stunned me into complete silence. I now understand Katy Perry's Lyrics of being a plastic bag in the wind.

Memories flood into the front of my mind, times of happiness and joy. I'm ready to throw myself at him and hug him for dear life, when another memory emerges...

My love turns bitter, happiness turns to sadness and instead of flinging myself at him, I go a different route.

I snap. Completely.

Authors note::

Just a preview of what is to come for my next story. Inspiration has been in short supply, but then it hit me. I've been  struggling to think up a whole book, when in fact, all you need is a beginning and the end. Well, I have it. The rest is gonna be a rollercoaster!
