I walked into the hospital. I was holding back the tears. I saw Amber sitting in the waiting room. I rushed over to her.

Me-Amber!

She looked up.

Amber-Ashley!

She got up and hugged me.

Me-What happened?

Amber-He got in a really bad car accident.

Tears were coming out both of our eyes.

Amber-And they don't know if he's going to make it.

We hugged each other for a long time. After that we sat down until the doctor told us we could see Jamie.

Me-Jamie.

I went over and took his hand. He looked at me.

Jamie-Ashley. It's been forever since I've seen you.

His voice was weak.

Me-Yeah I know.

I lightly laughed.

Me-How do you feel?

Jamie-Ok.

We sat in silence for 5 minutes until Jamie said "So I heard your married now." I looked at him.

Me-Yep. To Zak Bagans.

Jamie laughed. I rolled my eyes. I knew he was going to be jealous.

Jamie-Why did we break up?

And he had to bring that up. Good job Jamie. I looked at him.

Me-Did you really just bring that up?

I stood up.

Jamie-Yep.

I scoffed.

Me-Im sorry but I came here to be a good FRIEND not Ex.

I left the room and went home. I knew Jamie was still into me but I have someone better in my life and that's Zak.

I walked through the front door knowing that Zak wasn't going to be happy because I left without telling him anything.

Zak-Ashley Bagans!

I sighed.

Zak-Where the fu** did you go?!

Me-Would you calm down first?

Zak shook his head.

Zak-You can't just run off like that.

Me-Well Im sorry. My best guy friend Jamie got in a car accident. I was at the hospital. There happy now?

I walked upstairs and slammed the bedroom door.

I laid down on the bed and buried my face in the pillows and cried. How much worse can life get?
