~Chapter 4~

"Hey Matt, Matthew! Matty Matty Matthew!" Alfred kneeled on Matthew's bed as he poked his brother's sleeping face.

Well, he was sleeping, but with Alfred being....well, Alfred, he won't be able to have a peaceful morning for once. "Alfred, I swear, I will cut you." Matthew mumbled as he pulled his blanket over his head.

Alfred laughed and fell off the bed. As he laid on the floor, he said "Yeah, but get up. Papa is making pancakes." He stood up and left the room so that Matthew can do Matthew things. He stepped into the living room/kitchen area to find Francis flipping a pancake or two, and Arthur was reading some sort of book.

"Alfred child, would you like strawberries in your pancakes or chocolate chips?" Francis asked without turning his gaze off the pancakes.

     "Choco chips!" Alfred answered happily.

"Why though?" Matthew said as he walked out of his room. "Why do you mess up the beauty of pancakes?"

Alfred rolled his eyes, "Bro, it's chocolate chips. It tastes good!"

Matthew rolled his eyes back, "You act like an American."

"If that's the case, then that means I'm pretty great!"

"Sure, you go ahead and believe that."

"Cut it out, you two, lets just enjoy the pancakes." Arthur interrupted the two.

Francis chuckled, "At first I thought that you were going to say 'bloody pancakes'."

Alfred laughed, "That sounds delicious! Whose blood is it?"

"Alfred, if you say another stupid thing, it'll be your blood." Matthew said with a glare. Arthur stared at Matthew, but didn't say anything as he started to eat his pancakes.

The family has been in Vancouver for about a week. They went to a few malls, a few parks, and went swimming a couple times. Francis planned to go to Science World that Thursday, two days from now. For today, Francis decided to go to a water park instead. "Francis, what's the entrance fee?" Arthur asked as he packed his back with things they may need.

Francis chuckled. "Well, mon amour, this water park isn't all too big, but it's free to enter." He said.

"Woah, it's free? Canada's great!" Alfred said as he wandered around the living area.

"Why do you think I research Canadian things?" Matthew said with a smirk.

Alfred chuckled. "Well, at least I don't waste my life away doing so!"

Matthew frowned. "Why do you do this?"

     "Eh, I dunno, it's fun!"

"Stop bickering you two." Arthur snapped. "Alfred, find the sunscreen."

"But Dad~! I don't need it!" Alfred said with a pout.

"You're useless. Matthew, find the sunscreen."

"Ow..." Alfred whined as Matthew left the living area to find Arthur's bloody sunscreen. "You know what, Dad? You hurt me, right here." Alfred said, pointing to his heart.

"You know I love you, right, Alfred?" Arthur asked as he glanced at Alfred before folding a towel.

     Alfred chuckled, "Yeah, I know!"

"Alfred, you're despicable." Matthew said as he walked over to Arthur with the sunscreen.

"Well, if I'm despicable, then I'm a despicable hero!" Alfred yelled as he flopped on the couch.

Matthew glared at Alfred. "You don't know what 'despicable' means."

     "Nope!"

     "You make me sad."

"Deal with it." Alfred grabbed a pair of sunglasses from the coffee table and slid them on with a smirk.

"Alfred, stop. You're ridiculous." Matthew walked away before Alfred could say anything else that wants to make him cry from the stupidity.

Francis looked over towards Matthew. He chuckled to himself. Alfred and Matthew are both growing well. He thought to himself.

White fluffy clouds dotted the sky that day. Every so often, a shadow would cast against the ground. To Francis, it wasn't the perfect day, but Arthur thought that they would have a great time. Matthew didn't care a whole lot about the weather, and Alfred's just oblivious to it all.

"Hey Mattie, look at that!" Alfred said excitedly as he pointed to a large bucket-dumping tower, right before it tipped and splashed the ground and several screaming children, as well as some teens. A smaller child was crying, and the father was soon by his side. Matthew couldn't tell if he was comforting or scolding the child, but as he glanced at Alfred, he could tell that he didn't care. "Hey Dad, what are you waiting for? Lets plop our stuff somewhere so that we can have some fun!"

Arthur rolled his eyes. "We can't just 'plop our stuff somewhere'. Someone could easily steal it!"

Alfred chuckled. "But we're in Canada."

Matthew raised an eyebrow. "And what's that supposed to mean?"

"Well, you're practically Canadian, and if Canadians are like you then absolutely no one will steal our stuff! You apologize to everything, even for something you didn't do!" Matthew was about to say something, but Alfred added something else. "Heck, I bet you can't even hit me without apologizing!"

     GLOMP~

"Ow..." Alfred was now on the ground with his hand on his head where Matthew had punched him. Matthew didn't even say anything; he continued to follow Arthur and Francis, who said nothing about what just happened. Alfred rolled his eyes and chuckled. Dang, Matthew didn't say sorry after all...

He felt someone watching him. He looked across the small water park and saw a young boy—probably a bit older than Matthew, but he couldn't tell. Actually, he looked almost exactly like Matthew. He has the same haircut, but he seems to be...more gruff? I dunno, but I know I wouldn't mistake him for my brother.

     "Hey, Matthew!"

     "...who are you?"

"Oh, sorry dude! Wrong person..." Alfred walked away awkwardly after he slapped his hands on the same guy he saw earlier on the shoulders. So much for not mistaking him for my brother... The guy rolled his eyes and went off to do his own thing. I want food now... He strolled over to Arthur, who was awkwardly being soaked by Francis, and poked him on the shoulder.

"Ack-Alfred, not now-SCREE-" Arthur stuttered as Francis got a hold of water balloons and started chucking them at him.

"I want food-" Alfred got caught off as a water balloon smacked him in the face. He jumped and looked at Francis. Matthew was standing next to him with a smirk. Alfred glared at him and smirked himself. He grabbed a handful of broken balloon pieces and ran towards his brother. Matthew squeaked and started to run. I'm not sure if running is allowed, but oh well! Alfred chuckled as they raced through the sprinklers and several other water structures. They even went under the bucket as it poured out. Neither stopped, but Alfred knew that he had more stamina than Matthew. He never pointed it out, but they both knew that.

Matthew slowed down, but he refused to stop. He looked backwards to stick his tongue out like the dork he was, but he bit it when he tripped and tumbled into a stranger. Alfred stopped and raised an eyebrow at the guy he ran into.

The guy was about their age, a bit older than Alfred but younger than Matthew, and had darker hair with a cowlick. It's weird that the cowlick's still up even when it's wet. Wait a sec... Alfred felt his head for his own cowlick. Oh wait, nevermind, we're both weird. The guy sat up and glared at the rapidly-apologizing Matthew. "You wanna go?" He challenged. This caused Matthew's eyes to grow wide, and he continued to apologize, his voice growing softer and more breathless with embarrassment and fright.

"For pete's sake, Allen, he said sorry like a million times already!" Alfred looked over to the 'new' voice, coming from the same guy he thought was Matthew a little bit ago. "If you want a fight go somewhere else. Go to Oliver or something; anywhere, really. I don't really care."

Allen rolled his eyes. "What are you stalking me for?"

"So that you won't murder anyone!"

"I do what I want!" Matthew was next to Alfred now. He didn't pay much attention to him. Dang, they kinda remind me of Matthew and I for some reason... He thought to himself. Then the two brothers ended up in a fistfight, and Matthew dragged him back to Arthur and Francis. Well, we're aren't as violent as those two...

"I have a feeling that we'll see those people again..." Matthew muttered.

Alfred raised an eyebrow. "Why d'ya say that?" Matthew just shrugged continued to look for their parents.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"And then they got into a literal fistfight! Yeah, sure, they're brothers, but not even Mattie and I do that!" Alfred rambled on about what happened at the water park. Matthew rolled his eyes as he fiddled with his paper straw wrapper. At first, Matthew wasn't all too hungry when they left the waterpark, but now the fresh pizzas from the other tables were really getting him hungry.

"And then Matthew said something about-" Alfred started, but with an elbow to the side, Matthew shut him up. I shouldn't have said anything... He thought to himself. Arthur's already stressed enough...

"Matthieu, is something wrong?" Francis asked.

Matthew shrugged. "Eh, I just said something stupid about the brothers. It's not important."

Alfred cocked an eyebrow. "Matthew, what you said was creepy."

Arthur chuckled. "So, what exactly did you say?"

Matthew sighed. They aren't going to give this up, are they? Might as well tell them. "I said that I had a feeling that we'll see those people again."

Arthur was quiet for a few moments, and Francis was staring at Mattew with an eyebrow slightly raised. Alfred started tapping on the table like the dork he was. "Now what do you mean by that?" Arthur asked.

Matthew blushed and immediately looked down at the table. "W-Well, I meant to tell you later, but..." He hesitated, thinking about what to say, but Francis beat him to it.

"You think that you've found your soulmate?" Matthew looked up at him, who was smiling like a fangirl would when their OTP becomes cannon or when they find a very good fanfic. He nodded, and Francis practically lept out of his seat. "Oh, Matthieu, that's absolutely wonderful!

"Oh shut up, you git!" Arthur snapped and elbowed Francis as he noticed Matthew's blush grew from embarrassment. Francis calmed down a smidge, but he had the same smile plastered to his face. Arthur rolled his eyes and looked at Matthew. "Anyways, are you sure about this?"

Matthew nodded. "Yeah, the stone made it obvious."

"Now wait a second." Alfred butted in. "Which one is your thing? The cowlick one or the chilled one? I swear, if it's the cowlick one, I'll bust his head in! I ain't letting you put up with his cra-a-crackers!" Alfred stuttered the last word since he wasn't sure if what he was about to say was a curse word or not.

Matthew chuckled. "But what if his crackers are good?"

     "You know what I meant!"

"Don't worry, it's the chilled one."

"That's a relief." Alfred slouched back down in his seat, but sat back up when he received a glare from Arthur.  "I don't like the other dude."

Francis put his elbows on the table and laid his chin on his hands. "So, did you get his name?"

Matthew shook his head. "I know that his brother's name is Allen, but I didn't get his name."

"It's Mattie's fault; he dragged me away cause he's too scared to talk to his lover!" Alfred said with a smirk.

Matthew punched Alfred's shoulder, making him whine and pout for a split second. "I dragged you away 'cause I didn't want you to get hurt, you numbskull!"

"Well, I wasn't going to fight them!"

"Well, you kept watching them, and I don't trust that Allen guy!"

"Hey, if he picks a fight on me-"

"If he picks a fight on you, you'll crack your skull open before anyone swings the first punch!"

     "Ow, I'm not that pathetic!"

"Eh, well, you're still pretty pathetic."

     "Dad~!"

     "Pfft. You're pathetic."

"That's enough you two." Arthur interrupted them as the waitress dropped off their pizza. He thanked her, and she walked away. "How about we just enjoy lunch and worry about all this later."

Matthew sighed with relief, and Alfred nodded while letting a slice of pizza plop onto his plate. Well, that went smoothly...

Oh look, I actually did something productive with my life. WHOOP >w<

Yeah, right now it's more of a Red Velvet Pancakes thingy, but eh, I needed something to do a thing so that stuff can happen in the future :3

Cause I need development in life, and it's easier - for me at least - to start with Matthew's development, then Alfred's, cause I dunno, life is weird X3

BUT I ALREADY KNOW HOW THE NEXT CHAPTER'S GUNNA START

AND I KNOW WHAT I'M GUNNA DO

. . .

BUT I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE HOW I'M GUNNA DO IT YET XD

So I can't promise anything :3

Or can I?

DUR, DUR, DUURRRRR~~~
